Chapter 490 Disturbance

After he finished speaking, he went back to his work, leaving Claire feeling completely ignored in the office.

Seeing this, Claire was furious and was about to lash out again when she caught a glimpse of a red figure out of the corner of her eye.

The woman was heavily made up, with meticulously styled wavy hair.

Her red dress highlighted her bare arms and legs, making them look particularly glossy.

Despite her flashy appearance, she was holding a lunchbox, clearly there to deliver food.

For a moment, Claire forgot her anger, her lips slightly parted as she watched Diana walk over.

Abigail and Nolan also noticed her, their expressions changing as Diana sweetly asked, "Is Charles in the office? I brought him lunch."

Nolan was the first to respond, "Mr. Percy is in a video conference, which should end in about twenty minutes."

'But why is she dressed like that?'

'This style is exactly like Diana from five years ago.'

'Has her taste changed?'

A series of questions swirled in Nolan's mind, though he didn't understand Diana's behavior, it wasn't his place to worry about it.

Abigail, being a fellow woman, greeted Diana and then gently reminded her, "Do you need a jacket? The office is quite cold, and you might feel chilly dressed like that."

"No need, I'm going in now."

Diana hadn't forgotten her purpose for being there, she waved off Abigail's kind offer.

With that, she turned and headed towards the CEO's office.

Abigail was about to stop her and say more, but Claire beat her to it.

Claire, who had been angry moments ago, now wore a fawning smile, "You're holding something, let me help you with the door."

Diana didn't have a good impression of Claire and saw through her intentions, but she didn't expose her, merely nodding slightly to accept her help.

As the office door opened, Diana immediately saw Charles in the middle of his video conference.

His expression was serious, his lips moving as he spoke in a language Diana couldn't understand.

The door closed softly behind her.

Diana took a deep breath, smiled, and swayed her hips as she walked towards the desk.

"Regarding the proposal, it needs further refinement..."

Charles's voice abruptly stopped, his face showing confusion as he looked at Diana.

She flashed a toothy smile and said, "Mr. Percy, it's time for lunch."

She placed the lunchbox on the desk and leaned in closer.

"Mr. Percy? What's going on? Can the meeting continue?"

The person on the other end of the video call had heard the commotion and quickly asked.

Charles snapped back to reality and nodded, "Continue."

Feeling ignored, Diana hesitated for a moment, then lifted one leg to sit on the desk.

As she moved, her skirt slid up a few inches, revealing her full, curvy thighs.

"Why are you ignoring me, Mr. Percy?"

Her voice was sweet and coy, something she never did.

The person on the other end clearly heard her, his expression stunned, realizing he was hearing something he shouldn't.

"Continue."

Charles repeated the word, his face expressionless, not clear if he was speaking to Diana or the person on the call.

Seeing his indifference, Diana gritted her teeth, thinking, 'Even this doesn't get a reaction, is he impotent?'

But she didn't give up, instead, she slithered around him like a seductive snake.

Charles's upper body filled the screen, hiding her from view.

Diana grew bolder, tugging at his sleeve and whispering, "Mr. Percy, what's more important, work or me?"

She was almost whispering in his ear, her breath tickling his earlobe.

Charles slightly turned his head, avoiding her next move, and responded to the person on the screen, "Your company's plan aligns with our ideas. I believe our collaboration will be very successful."

At this, Diana completely gave up, straightening up with a look of exasperation.

She turned to move away from him.

But sensing her intention to leave, the previously indifferent Charles suddenly reached out, his strong hand gripping her wrist firmly.

"What are you doing?" Diana gasped, trying to pull her hand away.

Without turning his head, Charles spoke a string of polite words, then reached out to shut off the computer.

Only then did Diana notice his eyes were red, staring at her like a predator eyeing its prey.

He pulled Diana close, burying his face in her stomach, his breathing heavy. "What do you want?"

His voice was muffled, hard to hear clearly, but his actions were unmistakable.

His hands gripped Diana's waist, unapologetically caressing her.

One hand traced circles along her spine, while the other toyed with her skirt, eager to slip inside.

Diana frowned, pushing against his head, forcing him to look up. "Aren't you supposed to be in a meeting? Ending it so quickly is irresponsible."

Her righteous tone contrasted sharply with her heavy makeup, making Charles laugh, his chest vibrating, which Diana could feel.

Confused by his emotions, Diana tried to change the subject, "Let's eat."

"I am a bit hungry, let's start with an appetizer..." Charles loosened his grip on her, standing up as if he was really going to eat.

But the next second, he tightened his hold again, lifting her onto the desk.

The computer and documents were pushed aside.

Diana was precariously perched on the edge, clutching Charles's neck in fear.

This action gave him an opportunity. He lifted his head, capturing her incessant lips, one hand gripping her waist, the other holding her chin, his firm fingers pressing against her delicate cheeks, making Diana protest like a cat caught off guard.

Even in the kiss, she resisted with small struggles.

She couldn't understand how he could kiss her despite her attire, but his hot tongue continued to entwine with hers, the sound of their mingling breaths making her blush.

Charles took a deep breath. His usually cold voice now carried a heat that couldn't be suppressed, adding a seductive undertone.

Diana could even feel a slight tremor where his body pressed against her waist.

Diana seemed like a round, sweet candy to him, and he, a sweet tooth, wouldn't let go.

Greedy, persistent, seemingly affectionate, yet also angry, he sucked and licked her intensely.

Before long, Diana was breathless, patting his back.

Just before losing control completely, Charles withdrew from her soft mouth, his lashes lowered, seeing her lipstick smeared around her lips.

He couldn't help but laugh.

Diana glared at him, panting, and as she was about to speak, he lowered his head and bit her exposed collarbone hard.
