Chapter 179 Out of Control

Eugene had his phone in one hand and was holding the guy back with the other.

Gone was his usual laid-back vibe; he looked dead serious. "If you even think about leaving, I'll break your leg."

The guy's family was nowhere near as powerful as the Baileys. Faced with this threat, he quickly backed down.

He kept apologizing, "Mr. Bailey, we were just messing around. We won't go."

Seeing him back off, Eugene let go, propped his chin on his hand, and glanced at the door, not worried about Diana at all.

Diana stood alone by the door, with two waiters holding it open so everyone inside could see clearly.

But after more than ten minutes, no one walked by.

How strange!

The people on the sofa were getting restless. Not only had no guests passed by, but where had the waiters of the Mirage Nights Club gone? Why hadn't a single one walked by?

Charlotte frowned, her right hand clenched into a fist. She couldn't believe Diana was this lucky.

As time dragged on, someone suggested letting Diana wait by herself while they moved on to the next round.

But Eugene and Charlotte shot down that idea, both staring anxiously at the door.

Diana leaned against the door, yawning lazily. This time, the bodyguards were doing their job, really blocking everyone.

But then, a tall figure appeared in front of her.

Diana's breath caught. 'How could someone still get through?' she thought.

There were jeers from behind, "Someone's here! Who is it?"

But as everyone saw who it was, the room fell silent, with only the upbeat background music playing, making the scene even more eerie.

"Charles, you're here." Eugene raised an eyebrow, lifted his glass to Charles, and downed it.

Diana gritted her teeth. So, Eugene had been waiting for this.

When did he call Charles?

As she pondered, Diana looked up and met Charles's intense gaze.

It was clear he was angry, but she had no idea why.

She quietly took a step back, her gut telling her that staying away from an angry Charles was a good idea.

But Charles noticed all her small movements. He raised his hand, grabbed Diana's arm, and pulled her close.

His sharp gaze swept over everyone in the room, and someone weakly said, "Mr. Percy, here to join the fun? What a coincidence."

They had no clue why Charles was there. Even though Eugene organized the party, Charles hated crowds and rarely showed up at these things.

Why was he here now?

And just like that, Diana, who had been with Eugene, was now in Charles's arms.

Charlotte, who had been smug, now shrank back into the crowd, cold sweat breaking out.

How could this be? Didn't Charles dislike Diana? Why was he holding her now? Could it be that Diana's calm demeanor was because she knew Charles had her back?

Even though the Rose family had climbed the social ladder, they were still nothing compared to the Percy Group. With one order from Charles, the Rose family could vanish from Evergreen City.

Countless thoughts raced through Charlotte's mind, and she couldn't help but tremble, regretting her earlier impulsiveness.

Luckily, Charles only stood at the door for a moment before leaving with Diana in his arms. He didn't say a word.

As they left, the waiters closed the door, and after a moment of silence, the room buzzed with chatter again.

"This is wild. Didn't they get divorced? Why does it seem like Mr. Percy still likes her?"

"This is too crazy, right? Kissing the first person they meet, will these two..."

Everyone laughed, and then someone turned to Charlotte, "Charlotte, did you set this up?"

Charlotte's face went pale as she caught up with the conversation. She bit her lip and shook her head. No way was this her doing.

If she had known Charles would show up, she would've been at the door herself, not giving Diana the chance.

Meanwhile, Charles was leading Diana out, his hand firmly gripping her waist.

She frowned, trying to pry his hand off her lower abdomen. "Let go of me! Why are you here?"

Charles suddenly stopped and turned to stare at her.

When he got Eugene's call today, he heard the noisy background and loud music. He thought it was just a party invite and was about to hang up.

Then Eugene mentioned Diana was there. He paused, put down his documents, and rushed to Mirage Nights Club.

As soon as he hit the fifth floor, he saw the two bodyguards on patrol. Seeing him arrive, the two immediately began recounting everything that had happened at the party involving Diana.

They particularly emphasized the part where she seemed quite willing to accept the punishment of kissing.

Charles's face darkened, and he quickened his pace. When he reached the door, he saw Diana casually leaning against it, which made him even angrier.

Now, pulling Diana along, she glared at him, clearly unhappy. "Why are you here? You said I could go out."

Charles gritted his teeth, pulling her closer. "Diana, you're pregnant. Am I being too lenient with you?"

Diana frowned, confused. "What do you mean by lenient? I came to Mirage Nights Club for business."

She was there to reclaim shares; Eugene's party was just a coincidence. Even if Charles hadn't come, she could handle herself. She didn't get why he was so mad.

"Business? Playing challenges and finding someone to kiss?" Charles's eyes darkened, focusing on her lips.

When Diana was angry, her chin tensed, making her lips pout slightly, giving her an unexpectedly alluring look.

"You're crazy!" Diana was bewildered by his accusation, but then he grabbed her shoulder and pulled her into his arms.

The next second, Charles's face was right in front of hers, and she felt his lips on hers.

His hand held her nape, the strong pressure and dominance instantly enveloping her.

His kissing was clumsy, just licking her lips like a dog. But soon, he got the hang of it, his tongue tracing the shape of her lips, trying to go deeper.

Diana's eyes widened, realizing Charles was kissing her! She clamped her mouth shut, trying to push him away.

Feeling her resistance, Charles opened his eyes and bit her cheek as punishment.

Diana cried out in pain, "Bastard, why are you biting?"

Her harmless curse sounded more like flirting at that moment.

Charles looked at the teeth marks on her face and suddenly pushed her away.

Diana, unsteady on her feet, instinctively grabbed his clothes.

Charles took the opportunity to hold her waist, lifting her up with force.

Diana didn't know what he was planning, but her instincts told her it was nothing good. So she pinched his face with one hand and pressed hard on his waist with the other. Her legs kicked the air wildly.

"Let go of me, you lunatic!"

Behind Diana was a VIP room in Mirage Nights Club, set up for drunk guests to rest.

Despite the comical distortion of his face, the difference in size and strength allowed Charles to calmly take out a VIP card and open the door.
