Chapter 144 Going Out and Have Fun

At the Percy Group private hospital, Diana had been cooped up for over a week.

She was eating and sleeping on schedule every day, and Brenda even had her exercise routine all planned out.

With all this care, Diana had put on a bit of weight.

She looked fantastic, with fuller cheeks and slightly upturned eyes, giving her a noble and cool vibe.

But right now, Diana was glaring at Brenda, her whole demeanor radiating anger.

Brenda, feeling the heat from Diana's stare, gritted her teeth and said, "Ms. Spencer, it's a holiday today. The mall's gonna be packed, and you still wanna go? I checked, and there's a celebrity there today. Sure, it might be fun, but what if there's a stampede?"

"Dr. Ramos, I'm an adult, and Charles said as long as my health is stable, I can go out for a walk. Why are you stopping me now?" Diana was seriously pissed. She'd been cooperating with all the pregnancy care, but now she couldn't even go out?

Evelyn, standing nearby, looked torn. She knew Diana's mood was important, but so was safety. So she softly suggested, "How about a compromise? Dr. Ramos, you let Ms. Spencer go out, and she will choose a different place to have fun. I'll go with her along with the bodyguards, and nothing will happen."

Diana pursed her lips, and after a moment, she gave in. "Alright, let's go somewhere else. It's not like I have to go there."

Two intense gazes fell on Brenda, making her feel overwhelmed.

Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and raised her hands in surrender. "Alright, go ahead."

"Ms. Spencer, you can go out and have fun!" Evelyn was even more excited than Diana, her eyes sparkling.

The next second, she started packing the things they needed to take with them.

"But you need to take six bodyguards," Brenda added, thinking it was too risky for just Evelyn and Diana to go out. If Charles found out, he'd definitely kill her.

Diana frowned. "Dr. Ramos, even if it's surveillance, we don't need that many. One is enough."

"Two." Brenda held up two fingers and shook them, meaning two was the minimum, and there was no room for negotiation.

Diana was a bit annoyed, but it was Charles' order, and there was no point in resisting. "Fine. Dr. Ramos, you go pick the people. Evelyn and I will get ready to go out."

Brenda nodded, her eyes filled with apology, and she whispered, "I'll pick two handsome ones for you."

After saying that, Brenda raised her eyebrows proudly, her smile ambiguous.

Diana was amused by her expression. "Thank you, Dr. Ramos."

When they were ready to go out, Evelyn saw the two tall and sturdy men in front of her. She swallowed discreetly and whispered in Diana's ear, "Ms. Spencer, they are indeed very handsome."

Diana nodded silently, but the thought of the two bodyguards surrounding them made her uncomfortable.

Diana casually pointed at one of them and said, "You stay a bit farther away from us, just follow us. There aren't that many bad people around, and with your stern faces, you look more like robbers."

The two bodyguards exchanged glances. Diana was an important person now, and everything had to be prioritized for her.

Diana's plan wasn't unreasonable. One could stay close for protection, and the other could stay farther away to scout for any unusual situations.

So, they quickly nodded in agreement.

One of them, still worried, reminded her, "Ms. Spencer, please don't think about running away. Cooperate with our work."

Diana brushed her long hair. She was just going out for a walk today, with no plans to run away. If she did and got caught, Charles would probably lock her up until the baby was born.

"Got it. Let's head to Spark Plaza."

They got into the car and settled in.

Evelyn, holding Diana's arm, asked, "Ms. Spencer, Spark Plaza is so far away. Is there anything fun there?"

"It's another commercial center, but it's quieter," Diana explained patiently.

Evergreen City had plenty of commercial centers, but the most happening spot was around Mirage Nights Club.

Spark Plaza, being more remote and lacking unique attractions, had fewer people during holidays, making it a relaxing spot.

Diana had plans to have dinner with Robert and Isolde and had also invited Billy. The first two responded quickly, but Billy hadn't replied yet.

"Ms. Spencer, is it just Ms. Porter coming later?" Evelyn asked from the side.

Diana put away her phone and responded, "Isolde will be here in a while. Let's go shopping first."

Spark Plaza had three floors of luxury brand stores, many of which Evelyn couldn't even name. But everything inside was pricey for ordinary folks.

Evelyn swallowed, not daring to go in.

Diana, standing beside her, thought the bodyguard was too conspicuous, dressed in black and wearing sunglasses with a stern face, as if afraid others wouldn't know he was a bodyguard.

Since they came in, they had already attracted a lot of attention.

Diana frowned slightly and said, "Can you follow us from a distance? It's very safe here, and nothing unexpected will happen. You're too close and too conspicuous."

The bodyguard paused, considering the feasibility.

He looked at the security guards holding anti-riot forks not far away and then at the array of luxury brand stores. In the end, he compromised. "We'll wait outside."

Diana nodded, feeling relieved as she watched the bodyguard leave with a serious expression. "Let's go in and take a look."

Diana pulled Evelyn's hand, ready to go in.

But Evelyn looked conflicted and scared. "Ms. Spencer, forget it. Everything is so expensive. I'll wait with the bodyguard."

Diana pulled a wry smile and knocked her on the head without hesitation. "What do you mean? Didn't you say you were rich before? Besides, if you can't afford it, I can."

Evelyn covered her head and whispered, "Ms. Spencer, the money you gave me, I'm going to donate to children's homes. Those kids are so pitiful without parents."

Diana was momentarily silent at her words, remembering that Evelyn was originally an orphan. It was commendable that Evelyn still wanted to donate.

"Then we'll just look and not buy anything!"

Evelyn's eyes widened. "Ms. Spencer, this is a luxury store, not a farmers' market. You can't just browse."

Diana playfully winked. "Don't worry, I'm a VIP customer."

The original Diana had bought a lot of luxury goods, and many brands had VIP status, making their shopping trip today convenient.

Not far away, the two bodyguards kept a close watch in this direction, but they started chatting.

"Ms. Spencer is quite nice, not pretentious at all."

The other one nodded in agreement. "I also think she's right. It's broad daylight; there aren't any bad guys. Mr. Percy is too..."

Before he could finish, the other bodyguard interrupted him, warning in a low voice, "Don't forget who our boss is. If you keep talking about Mr. Percy like that, I won't be polite."

The bodyguard wisely blinked. "Got it!"

Seeing the two women happily shopping, the bodyguard dutifully took out his phone and started recording a video.

He recorded a short clip and sent it to Nolan.
