Chapter 297 Reporting

When the two finished talking, Dean's eyes lit up.

He knew Diana would have a plan, but this one was incredibly risky and had to be flawless.

"Even if it doesn't work this time, there will be another chance."

Diana's tone was soothing, trying to ease Dean's pressure.

"Sophia, this isn't our first time working together! What do you mean by that? Are you looking down on me?"

Dean's voice was high-pitched, like a rooster ready for a fight.

Diana couldn't help but laugh and scolded, "If you mess this up, I'll be the first to come after you once I'm free!"

"Got it!"

Dean laughed too, and the tension between them eased.

But before they could chat more, Diana glanced at the time and said, "I need to head back. I'll contact you if anything comes up. Make sure you stay hidden and don't get caught."

Dean nodded, putting on a mask and a baseball cap, keeping his head down to hide his face.

"I'm off then," he said, his voice somewhat muffled as he said goodbye to Diana, almost like a thief.

Five minutes after he left, Diana fixed her hair and clothes, then stood up and left the private room.

The Percy family's driver was already waiting at the door. She got into the car with a calm expression, as usual.

Not far away, Eugene frowned, zooming in on the pictures on his phone.

He couldn't resist his curiosity and had slipped away from Frank under the pretense of going to the bathroom.

He had been watching the private room door for a while before seeing a man sneak out, but the man was so bundled up that his face was unrecognizable.

Eugene quickly snapped a few photos, capturing some blurry images.

The pictures didn't reveal much, and he muttered to himself, "Cheating right under Charles' nose, this is some thrilling drama."

He opened his chat with Charles and sent the photos.

Charles replied with a confused "?"

Eugene burst out laughing, his tongue pressing against his cheek as he quickly typed a message.

Honestly, his behavior now was like a tattletale student, a bit underhanded.

But Charles was his friend, and he couldn't just stand by and watch Charles get cheated on.

Of course, he also enjoyed the drama.

Less than a minute after sending the message, his phone vibrated.

Charles was calling, clearly unable to contain himself after receiving the news.

Knowing Charles was anxious, Eugene deliberately waited a moment before answering, his voice deliberately drawn out, "In a hurry, Mr. Percy?"

"Are you sure it was her?"

Charles' voice was cold and restrained.

The photos were too blurry to confirm the man's identity.

But the build was very similar to Billy.

She had promised not to see him again, so why was she pushing his limits?

"Answer me!"

Charles' tone was impatient, and Eugene knew he was serious. He quickly explained, "I was here with Frank on business and happened to see her. She was wearing a blue dress and a white jacket."

"I couldn't see the man's face, but they hugged at the door before going into the room. They were there for about half an hour before leaving."

"Eugene! What the hell are you doing here? I told you this client is important, and you're out here making calls!"

Eugene had just finished explaining when Frank's angry voice and a powerful slap landed on his back.

Eugene nearly stumbled, "Damn it, Frank! I'm dealing with something important!"

"Important, my ass! Which lover are you chatting with now? Hang up and get back to the client!"

Frank's temper was just like Eugene's father's, and when he got angry, he could make Eugene crawl on the ground.

But Eugene really had something important now. He quickly showed his phone screen to Frank, "Look, I'm talking to Charles! Is this client more important than him?"

Frank's throat tightened, his expression stiffening as he calmed down, "Mr. Percy's business is indeed important. Go ahead."

If it were any of Eugene's other friends, Frank wouldn't have been so polite.

But Charles was the one who had turned Eugene from a nobody into someone capable, and Frank respected him greatly.

He mouthed silently to Eugene, "Hurry up!" Then he turned and went back to the client.

Eugene carefully picked up the phone, his tone respectful, "Charles, are you still there?"

Only silence responded, but the screen showed the call was still connected.

Just when Eugene thought Charles had hung up in anger, Charles' voice finally came through, "Continue."

His tone was as calm as ever. But Eugene knew this was just the calm before the storm.

"I only saw that much. This club is very private, no cameras in the rooms. I could check the front desk's footage, but..."

He was cut off by Charles' cold voice, "No need, I'll ask her myself."

The call ended with a busy tone.

Eugene shivered, rubbing his arms as he muttered, "Diana really has some skills. When she liked Charles, he didn't care. Now that she doesn't, he's in love with her."

The Percy Mansion.

Diana's bedroom was a mess, boxes knocked over, letters scattered on the floor, all addressed to Diana.

There were also some jewelry and a dried rose, carefully preserved in a glass box, not a petal out of place.

Tessa stood nearby, nervously twisting her clothes, avoiding Charles' gaze, but secretly biting her lip to hide her excitement.

Her heart pounded with excitement. Finally! Finally, it was discovered!

She had carefully placed Clara's letters and gifts in Diana's room while she was out.

The room was already cluttered, so a box among many items wasn't noticeable. But if it fell and spilled love letters everywhere?

Charles' face was dark as he picked up a letter. The words were full of love, all signed by Billy.

No wonder she had been so obedient, no wonder she insisted on going out. It was all part of a bigger plan.

Was she planning to elope with Billy the moment he wasn't watching?

Anger surged through him, like boiling lava ready to erupt.

Yet, some unknown force of will kept urging him to read through those letters one by one.
