Chapter 177 Truth or Dare

Charlotte's face finally softened a bit. She lifted her chin slightly and handed another glass to Diana.

She stared at the glass, waiting for Diana to take a sip. If Diana dared to drink it, she wouldn't be walking out of here sober.

But before Diana could react, Eugene's hand reached over again, "I'll drink it for her."

Charlotte wanted to curse, and the others couldn't help but grumble too.

"Mr. Bailey, what's going on? Diana used to be able to drink a lot. Why can't she handle it now?"

Eugene wiped the champagne from his mouth, suddenly regretting bringing Diana along.

He forced a smile, "I brought her here. If she gets drunk, who's going to take care of her? It'd ruin my night."

"Mr. Bailey, I can drink. You don't have to do it for me." Diana smiled and reached out to Charlotte, signaling for another glass.

Eugene pulled her back and whispered, "You're pregnant, what are you thinking? That's enough!"

He thought she'd stop, but Diana ignored him and took the glass from Charlotte, the rim almost touching her lips.

"I'm thirsty." Eugene intercepted the glass again, his face darkening.

He liked drinking for fun, but not like this! This was the third glass in a row.

Eugene finally got it—Diana was here to mess things up.

After finishing the drink, he lowered his voice, pleading, "Diana, please stop. I'll take you home; it's my fault."

If he had known it would turn out like this, he would've pretended not to see her in the elevator.

Diana shrugged, looking helpless, "Charlotte, you saw it too. It's not that I don't respect you. Mr. Bailey insists on drinking for me, I can't help it."

Charlotte frowned, seeing Eugene and Diana whispering. She suddenly understood. Were these two playing her? These three glasses were just to humiliate her.

But Eugene was part of the Bailey family and a good friend of Charles, so she couldn't disrespect him. For a moment, Charlotte was stuck.

Tyrell, who had been mocked earlier, spoke up, "Charlotte, come back. No need to waste time with people like her."

Charlotte's friends waved her over, and with a mix of coaxing and pulling, they got her back to her seat.

Seeing this, Diana turned to Eugene, "Mr. Bailey, since there's nothing else, I'll leave first. Have fun."

Before Eugene could respond, someone in the booth spoke up, "Ms. Spencer, Mr. Bailey drank so much for you. Are you really going to leave just like that?"

Eugene felt a wave of helplessness. He was finally about to send Diana off, and now someone was stirring up trouble again?

Diana paused, her face showing interest as she turned around, "Since everyone doesn't want me to leave, let's play together."

With that, she stepped into the booth, although she sat at the edge. But everyone's eyes were on her.

Charlotte bit her lip. She had finally gotten close to this group, but as soon as Diana arrived, all the attention shifted to her.

Resentment surged within Charlotte. She abruptly downed a glass of wine and then spoke up, "Since you want to play, Diana, let's play something interesting, shall we?"

Everyone's curiosity was piqued. It was clear she wanted to cause trouble. So they all nodded in agreement.

"Sure, what do you want to play?" Eugene also squeezed in next to Diana, his tone calming down.

Although he regretted bringing her, it wasn't a total loss if he could confirm some things.

Charlotte scanned the room, raising her voice, "Since Ms. Spencer can't drink, let's play Truth or Dare. But asking questions is boring, let's jump straight to the dares, shall we?"

She paused, her eyes locking onto Diana, adding, "Ms. Spencer, you won't spoil the fun, will you? This game is specially designed for you."

Diana raised a glass of juice, nodding slightly, "Alright, let's get started."

Seeing her agree, Charlotte exchanged a glance with a few familiar faces in the crowd and then instructed the waiter to bring the cards.

She took out a quarter of the deck, shuffled it in front of everyone, and handed it to the waiter, explaining the rules, "In these cards, there's only one Joker. Whoever draws the Joker can assign a task to any card."

Everyone's expressions remained calm; they had played this game before, even more exciting versions.

Soon, the cards in the waiter's hand had mostly been dealt, and it was Diana's turn.

She casually drew a card but didn't reveal it.

The last time she played this drinking game, she ended up breaking someone's head. Who knew what would happen today?

Eugene revealed his card, seeing it wasn't the Joker, he sighed, "Not much luck today. Diana, did you get it?" As he spoke, he tried to see which card she had.

Diana quickly pressed the card to her chest, her tone indifferent, "Mr. Bailey, please follow the rules."

Eugene pouted, knowing he was in the wrong, and leaned back on the sofa.

As the cards were dealt, everyone gradually knew their numbers.

The man sitting opposite Diana raised his card, "I got the Joker."

He let his gaze wander around the room before speaking, "I choose the person with the number six to take a challenge."

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone looked down to check their cards.

Eugene suddenly raised his hand, cursing under his breath. His luck was really bad today. "Me, I'm number six."

Everyone burst into laughter. Someone even said, "Make the punishment tougher, or Mr. Bailey won't find it exciting enough."

Eugene made a throat-slitting gesture, pretending to be fierce, "You better pray I don't draw the Joker today."

The man with the Joker, who was on good terms with Eugene, glanced between him and Diana.

He suddenly had a bad idea, "Then Mr. Bailey, please feed the person on your left some juice with your mouth."

This challenge was too targeted. It was more of a punishment for Diana than for Eugene.

Hearing this punishment, everyone whispered, their faces filled with excitement.

Feeding someone juice with the mouth wasn't mouth-to-mouth, but holding the cup with the mouth was perfect for couples in the dating phase.

Despite his frequent female companions, Eugene had never played this game before.

But today, he uncharacteristically fell silent, took a sip of his drink, and after a moment, said, "Change it; this one won't do."

The others thought he was pretending to refuse and kept encouraging him. "Mr. Bailey being shy? That's a rare sight."

Eugene clenched his fist, repeating, "Change it."

Until he was sure of Charles' attitude towards Diana, he didn't want to cause trouble.

Seeing his expression, the man with the Joker eased the tension, "Alright, since you organized the event. Then Mr. Bailey, please take off your shirt until the next round ends."

Eugene raised an eyebrow, returning to his usual nonchalant demeanor. "You really want to see my abs that much?"

Diana, sitting next to him, subtly moved away.

It was disgusting. Who taught him to talk like that?

But clearly, the others enjoyed it, even whistling at Eugene, "Just giving the girls some benefits, take it off."
