Chapter 113 The Abortion Plan
The two of them knocked on the door, worried. "Clara, what's going on? Who upset you? Come out and talk to us."
All they heard in response was the sound of glass shattering and Clara's sobs. "Leave me alone! I don't want to see anyone."
Nathan and Mia had no clue what had happened, but they had a feeling it involved Diana.
Nathan pounded on the door harder. "Clara, come out and talk to me. What's happening?"
Just then, the butler handed over a phone, looking unsure. "Mr. Williams, Mrs. Williams, it might be about this."
After that, the butler stepped back, not wanting to get caught in the middle.
Sure enough, after Nathan watched the news, he angrily smashed the phone.
Mia was just as shocked. They knew Clara was with Griffin, but they didn't expect Griffin's wife, Sophie, to be such a problem.
Mia clung to Nathan's arm, tears in her eyes. "What do we do, honey? How can Clara face anyone after this?"
Nathan took a deep breath to calm himself and told the butler, "Go get the key."
The villa had spare keys for emergencies.
They had hoped Clara would calm down and come out on her own, but now they needed to go in and comfort her right away.
As soon as the door opened, Mia rushed in.
Mia hugged Clara, who was curled up in the corner, her voice breaking. "Clara, I'm here. Don't worry."
Hearing her mom's voice, Clara couldn't hold back her tears. "What do I do, Mom, Dad? I can't face anyone!"
Mia was at a loss too and looked to Nathan. "What do we do, honey? You have to help Clara!"
Nathan's mind raced, and he spoke calmly. "Stop crying, Clara. Let's get your face bandaged first. I have a plan."
Hearing that Nathan had a plan, Clara and Mia stopped crying.
Clara cared about her face, so she didn't resist much and left the room with Mia.
A servant brought a first aid kit and then stepped back.
Mia gently applied medicine to Clara. Her cheeks were swollen, her mouth was bleeding, and even around her eyes were bruised.
Sophie had hit her hard.
Ignoring the pain on her face, Clara asked, "Dad, what's your plan?"
Nathan couldn't bear to look at her injuries and turned his head, saying, "Right now, only you and Diana are managing the company. How's your relationship with Mr. Percy?"
Clara frowned. "Since the last party, Mr. Percy hasn't seen me. He told me not to appear in front of him."
"That's a good thing," Nathan said.
"Why? Mr. Percy is ignoring Clara!" Mia said angrily, but her hands moved more gently.
If Charles had paid more attention to Clara, she wouldn't have been beaten like this.
Nathan's expression was serious. "Mr. Percy is ignoring Clara, but he hasn't taken away her authority to manage the company. Isn't that a good thing?"
Clara and Mia both looked up, realizing what he meant.
Nathan continued, "As long as you have enough power, who cares about reputation?"
Clara gritted her teeth. It wasn't that she didn't want power, but the other half was all in Diana's hands.
"Honey, all the shares are in Diana's hands. Clara has nothing!" Mia dreamed of snatching the shares from Diana, but she had no business acumen.
Nathan was quiet for a moment, then suddenly spoke, his voice a bit sinister, "Have you forgotten I still have 15% of the shares? We need to keep tempting her."
Clara and Mia were still trying to figure out what he meant, and Nathan was getting annoyed by their slowness.
Nathan added, "Clara, you need to go beg Diana. Tell her I want to give her the 15% shares and ask her to help you."
Clara immediately got furious. "What? Is this your plan? Dad, are you crazy?"
Nathan also got angry. "Idiot! Use the 15% as bait, get Diana to have an abortion, and then tell Mr. Percy that Diana killed his kid! Isn't this our original plan?"
Mia finally got it. They had been too anxious and had forgotten everything.
Clara had tried to tempt Diana before, but even when Diana was at her lowest, she didn't care about the 15%.
But now the situation was different. The Williams family was weak, and Diana was strong.
Diana hated them so much; how could she resist taking back the 15% now?
Clara also understood Nathan's meaning, her eyes lighting up.
"We'll trick her into having an abortion and then tell Mr. Percy. Mr. Percy will hate her. Anyway, I'm still managing the company. Even if Diana's shares go back to the Percy Group, I'll still be in charge. By then..." Clara became more excited as she spoke, seeing hope in toppling Diana.
Meanwhile, today's plan was very successful, but Diana did not revel in this joy.
Instead, she instructed Calliope and the others to launch a full-scale attack on Clara.
They didn't hire internet trolls to curse her; rather, they contacted many online food bloggers to "replicate" Clara's products. They almost exactly replicated the production process and ingredients, then exposed the final product and the required prices.
No matter how much marketing was done, it couldn't hide the profits behind it.
Would those moms who bought baby products still be willing to spend a lot of money on this kind of food after seeing the ordinary ingredients?
They didn't know yet. Once the topic heated up, everything would be clear.
Calliope sighed in her heart when she saw the plan. 'Diana's move is really ruthless.'
Now, Clara's team couldn't even reach Clara by phone. Without a leader, they were in chaos, making it the best time to deal with them.
Calliope held the plan and executed it strictly.
Diana stretched and thought, 'Thanks to Robert for carefully organizing the information. I should give Robert a bonus!'
Faced with such a big issue, Clara couldn't just sit back and do nothing, especially with Nathan and Mia, two cunning people, at home.
Sure enough, the day after the incident, Clara found Diana, wrapped up tightly, her voice weak. "Diana, please. Help me! I don't dare go back to the company now. Help me clarify in the company that I did this for the company's development, okay?"
Diana sat leisurely in front of her, casually admiring her nails. "Why should I help you? Clara, are you going to say you're my sister and beg me again? I'll say it again, I don't..."
Clara immediately said, "My dad still has 15% of the Spencer Group's shares. We're willing to exchange that. Please!"
