Chapter 11: Alexander Meets Victoria

Victoria fought back her nausea and asked again, "Are you sure?"

Miles nodded. "Absolutely sure, Ms. Kennedy. Drink up."

He held the glass out to her.

The three men in the room had long been attracted to Victoria. She was cold, but stunningly beautiful with a killer figure. They couldn't resist her.

Using their status and the fact that Horizon Group wanted to work with them, they saw a chance to manipulate her.

Victoria eyed the glass in Miles' pudgy hand, narrowed her almond-shaped eyes, and asked icily, "What if I don't drink?"

Miles chuckled lewdly. "Don't drink? Fine. Just sleep with us tonight."

In the dimly lit room, silence hung for a few seconds.

Then a voice, as chilling as a winter wind and as sinister as a demon's whisper, broke the silence. "I'm afraid you can't handle it!"

For a moment, the three men were stunned, a shiver running down their spines. Victoria's voice had genuinely scared them.

But soon, they laughed it off. What could a single woman do to them?

Tonight, they were determined to have her.

"Shouldn't we be saying that to you?" Miles dropped the act, laughing as he squeezed Victoria's thigh.

She was dressed in a simple professional outfit: a blue chiffon blouse and fitted black pants. But it couldn't hide her stunning figure, especially those long, straight legs Miles had been eyeing all night.

"Yeah, there are three of us. You should be the one who can't handle it."

"Ms. Kennedy, just go along with it. You might even enjoy it."

The other two men chimed in shamelessly.

Their lust clouded their judgment, making them ignore the growing hostility in Victoria.

Meanwhile, in another private room, four distinguished individuals were seated. The lighting here was brighter.

Two of them had women by their sides. The other two sat upright, exuding an aura that kept others at a distance.

"You two are so boring!" Caleb Garcia leaned back on the sofa, legs crossed, arms spread out, with a woman on each side. He glanced at Owen Rodriguez and Alexander and teased, "You don't want company or a drink, what are you here for?"

Owen, wearing gold-rimmed glasses and looking scholarly, replied seriously, "I'm a doctor. I need to be on call."

Garrett Martinez, sitting beside him, suddenly said to the woman next to him, "Go, pour Mr. Howard a drink."

He then looked at Alexander, who sat in the middle with a cold expression, amused.

The woman, hearing she had to pour Alexander a drink, shivered. She often came to this private room and had witnessed Alexander's terrifying demeanor. It was said he had a serious case of germophobia and didn't allow any women near him.

Garrett smirked, guessing her thoughts. "What? Scared?"

The woman nervously replied, "No." She couldn't afford to offend anyone here, so she complied.

Just as she picked up the glass and was about to walk over, the door to the private room opened.

A stranger walked in. She didn't recognize him, but her intuition told her she had dodged a bullet.

"Sorry to interrupt, I have an urgent matter for Mr. Howard."

It was Dylan, one of Alexander's assistants, speaking respectfully.

Seeing Dylan's hesitant look, Caleb said, "Dylan, you have something for Alexander, right? Why are you just standing there?"

Alexander lifted his eyelids, squinting his eyes, and said in a deep, cold voice, "Just say it!"

Dylan finally spoke, knowing the others in the room were still in the dark about Alexander's personal life and fearing any leaks, "Mr. Howard, I just saw Mrs. Howard.""Mr. Howard, I just saw Mrs. Howard."

Three voices responded at once.

"What did you say?" Caleb asked, startled.

"Mrs. Howard?" Garrett echoed, surprised.

"Where?" Alexander asked, noticeably calmer.

Dylan hesitated for a moment before replying, "In room 609."

As soon as Dylan finished speaking, Alexander, who was sitting in the middle of the sofa, stood up and strode towards the door.

Caleb looked at Alexander's tall figure leaving and asked, confused, "He's married?"

Owen adjusted his glasses. "From what Dylan said, it seems so."

"Let's go check it out," Garrett quickly reacted and followed.

In the hallway, at the end of the corridor, room 609.

As soon as Alexander and the others stood outside the door, they could hear indistinct pleas for mercy from inside.

With a loud bang, the door was kicked open.

Inside, chaos reigned. Beer bottles, broken glass, and scattered fruit plates littered the floor, and the table was crooked.

Alexander's face darkened.

Dylan was dumbfounded, thinking, 'Could something have happened to Victoria?'

"Who's causing trouble on my turf?" Caleb roared angrily upon seeing the scene.

Alexander took a few steps forward, his sharp eyes scanning the dimly lit room, and saw Victoria's slender figure in the corner by the bar.

He was worried, but before he could step forward, Victoria slowly walked out.

"I'll compensate you for the damages later!"

A cold female voice accompanied her appearance.

The voice was icy.

Then, the four guys saw a cold and exquisite face.

She had her sleeves rolled up, her posture straight and tall, her long, straight legs wrapped in black fabric, and her curly hair casually tied up, looking a bit messy, but it couldn't hide her beauty.

Caleb and the others were a bit surprised; Victoria was stunningly beautiful.

The two women who had followed also exclaimed, "She's so beautiful."

"How can someone be so good-looking?"

But she looked very indifferent.

Suddenly, when Victoria saw Alexander standing at the door, she paused and stopped walking.

Alexander, in a dark suit, stood there with a tall posture, his handsome face, and magnetic eyes, all presented before her.

She suddenly felt a bit nervous being seen like this by him.

The two of them silently stared at each other for a few seconds.

Victoria felt his current anger, and his eyes were cold, his face covered with a layer of frost.

Her heart inexplicably panicked.

Someone like him should prefer obedient, gentle women, and he probably wouldn't like a strong woman like her.

She then averted her eyes and stopped looking at him.

Alexander keenly caught the fleeting self-mockery and upset in her eyes.

This wasn't the first time he had seen self-mockery in her.

Under everyone's gaze, Victoria moved to another sofa, picked up her coat and bag, and walked towards the door.

Without looking sideways, she directly walked past Alexander. Just as she passed by, her arm was firmly grabbed by Alexander.

Caleb and Garrett were in disbelief, even a bit shocked. Alexander actually took the initiative to hold a woman's hand?

Then they heard this cold beauty say this in a cold tone, "Let go!"

Another shock, someone actually dared to speak to Alexander in such a tone?

Was she not afraid of death?

Dylan also stood aside, trembling, not daring to speak. Victoria was so brave.

At this moment, Wesley hurried over and saw a group of people standing at the door. He was immediately worried something had happened to Victoria.

Although Victoria had brought him here, she didn't have him accompany her but instructed him to wait outside instead. She said she would be out by nine, but at a few minutes past nine, he didn't see anyone. She also didn't answered her phone, so he hurriedly ran up to check on her.
