The boy thought for a moment and said, "She said she had other things to do and couldn't take us with her."
Thomas was silent.
That was as good as not asking.
But at least it showed that Victoria wasn't alone, which was a relief.
Winter, seeing that only she, Thomas, and the two children were in the cave, shared her suspicions and the black cloth strip she had seen with him.
Thomas's face turned serious after hearing this.
"I understand. I'll handle this," he said coldly.
At this moment, Kimberly encountered a familiar face outside the cave.
Before they could react, they were surrounded by people in camouflage uniforms.
"Don't move!" one of the people in camouflage shouted.
"Kimberly?" another person suddenly called out.
Kimberly was confused when she heard someone call her name; their faces were painted with camouflage, so it was no wonder she didn't recognize them.
Brian led a small team here and found this group acting suspiciously.
"It's me, Brian." He then put away his gun and stepped forward.
Kimberly was stunned.
Brian was here?
What about Alexander?
Thomas and Winter came out because of the commotion outside.
They hadn't encountered anyone in camouflage uniforms along the way, but now they did.
Thomas was surprised; he recognized the insignia on their uniforms.
How could Shadow Reapers be here?
This couldn't be a coincidence.
Brian didn't recognize them, and Kimberly quickly introduced them, worried they might think she was being held hostage.
She also mentioned Victoria.
Brian was stunned. "You mean Mrs. Howard is also in this forest?"
Kimberly replied, "Yes."
Brian didn't delay and immediately contacted Alexander.
From their brief conversation, Thomas learned a big secret.
