Chapter 428 Playing Dirty, She Never Loses

Soon, Eugene successfully infiltrated.

Once inside, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, they didn't force their way in.

Just the people he saw alone numbered over twenty.

Each person was equipped with a submachine gun; if they had barged in recklessly, it would have been very difficult to escape.

Maybe there were more people hidden in places he couldn't see.

Luckily, these people all had half of their faces covered, so no one could recognize anyone, and their body shapes were all similar.

"082, why did you take so long?" Suddenly, a rough voice sounded behind him.

Eugene reacted quickly, lowered his voice, and made an excuse. "I went to take a dump."

The man in black in front of him didn't say much, just reminded him, "Don't stay away too long next time. If A finds out, you'll be punished."

Eugene puzzled. Who was A?

Then, he followed 081 back to their post.

Fortunately, they were mobile, not fixed, otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to look around.

After half an hour, he had a general idea.

He didn't expect there to be such a place on this mountain, with the entrance hidden under a cliff and a large flat area.

And he just heard that their boss was in the cave at the moment.

He also found out that they hadn't just arrived today; they had been guarding here for three days.

This matched what Victoria had said earlier; it was indeed a trap, and a well-prepared one at that.

He found an opportunity to send out information about the situation here.

Victoria received his message and fell into deep thought.

On rainy days, many things were inconvenient and it was easy to alert the enemy.

Their weapons were insufficient; going in like this would be walking into a beating, so they had to find another way.

Playing dirty tricks, she had never lost to anyone.

"Russell, Marigold, come here." After whispering a few words to the two, she reminded them, "Remember, safety first."

"We got it."

"Good, go."

Then, she disappeared as well.

Meanwhile, Thomas also encountered people from the 103 organization and dealt with them.

When he encountered the 103 people, he also sensed something was wrong.

"Winter, still no contact with them?" Thomas's face was a bit grim at the moment.

Winter was equally anxious; Victoria and the others seemed to have disappeared, even their trackers were gone, and she couldn't determine their location.

Their trackers wouldn't disappear for no reason.

And only Victoria had the authority to make their trackers disappear; she could temporarily disable their tracking systems by logging into the O Alliance system.

Of course, only a few of them knew this.

"No," she replied.

Winter didn't tell Thomas this.

Although she didn't know why Victoria did this, she must have her reasons.

"Mr. Taylor, since we can find the marks left by Victoria and the others along the way, they must be fine," Winter said. "Let's catch up first."

Kimberly had been frowning the whole time.

She regretted not insisting on following Victoria when she was told to stay behind.

If something really happened to Victoria, she wouldn't know how to explain it to Alexander.

"The marks end here," Winter added.

Winter searched around but couldn't find any familiar marks, only a small cave half-covered by branches.

She was puzzled and pushed aside the branches to go in and take a look.

Because the marks disappeared at this spot.

Just as she was about to step in, she noticed a black cloth strip tied with four small knots, arranged in a pattern of one large and one small.

Normal people would easily overlook this and not examine it closely.

Winter's eyes lit up with excitement and then immediately frowned.

This was a hint from Victoria that their movements had been exposed.

So, there was a traitor among them.

A long time ago, Victoria had told them that if they ever saw a black cloth strip tied with special knots, it was a signal from her.

Inside the cave, two children heard the sounds outside and became instantly nervous.

Seeing the shadows at the entrance, the little girl almost cried.

The little boy covered her mouth and whispered in her ear, "Don't cry, or we'll be discovered, and then it's over."

The little girl immediately stopped crying, curling up and holding the boy's arm tightly.

Winter pretended not to see the black cloth and walked straight in.

But she didn't expect to find two children inside.

"Mr. Taylor, there are two kids in here," she called out.

Thomas came in.

The two children stared at Thomas's face, their bodies slowly relaxing.

"Is this the man the lady showed us before?" The little girl, no longer afraid, started asking questions.

Thomas and Winter were momentarily confused.

The boy explained the situation.

From the boy's words, they learned that Victoria had saved them and hidden them here.

"Did the lady who saved you say anything else?" Thomas asked.

The boy thought for a moment and said, "She said she had other things to do and couldn't take us with her."

Thomas was silent.

That was as good as not asking.

But at least it showed that Victoria wasn't alone, which was a relief.

Winter, seeing that only she, Thomas, and the two children were in the cave, shared her suspicions and the black cloth strip she had seen with him.

Thomas's face turned serious after hearing this.

"I understand. I'll handle this," he said coldly.

At this moment, Kimberly encountered a familiar face outside the cave.

Before they could react, they were surrounded by people in camouflage uniforms.

"Don't move!" one of the people in camouflage shouted.

"Kimberly?" another person suddenly called out.

Kimberly was confused when she heard someone call her name; their faces were painted with camouflage, so it was no wonder she didn't recognize them.

Brian led a small team here and found this group acting suspiciously.

"It's me, Brian." He then put away his gun and stepped forward.

Kimberly was stunned.

Brian was here?

What about Alexander?

Thomas and Winter came out because of the commotion outside.

They hadn't encountered anyone in camouflage uniforms along the way, but now they did.

Thomas was surprised; he recognized the insignia on their uniforms.

How could Shadow Reapers be here?

This couldn't be a coincidence.

Brian didn't recognize them, and Kimberly quickly introduced them, worried they might think she was being held hostage.

She also mentioned Victoria.

Brian was stunned. "You mean Mrs. Howard is also in this forest?"

Kimberly replied, "Yes."

Brian didn't delay and immediately contacted Alexander.

From their brief conversation, Thomas learned a big secret.
