Chapter 135 The Crazy Neil
Meanwhile, Alexander, who had just snuck back into Rihegde, got word that Victoria was missing.
Kimberly and the bodyguard who had been tailing Victoria were terrified of Alexander's intense presence.
Kimberly noticed Victoria hadn't returned to Serenity Grove Manor for a while. She checked Victoria's phone location and saw it was still in the parking lot. Sensing something was off, she called the bodyguard who was secretly protecting Victoria.
The bodyguard went to the parking lot and only found her phone.
They checked the surveillance footage, but it was in a blind spot. Shortly after Victoria went to the parking lot, a gray car drove out. The license plate was fake, and the driver was skilled at avoiding detection. They chased it but realized it was a decoy.
"Mr. Howard, I'm sorry. It was my fault," Kimberly said, trembling, her head down. Alexander's silence was terrifying.
Alexander's voice was icy. "Indeed it was!"
Even though he knew Victoria could handle herself, he still couldn't relax.
Caleb and Garrett had come back with him, not expecting trouble right away.
Alexander was like a lion ready to pounce.
Just then, Dylan and Quentin returned.
Dylan said, "Mr. Howard, as you asked, we checked the Howard family members' movements. Except for Neil, who left an hour ago, no one else has gone out."
Quentin handed over Neil's travel map. "The map shows he went to the outskirts, and the timing matches Mrs. Howard's disappearance."
Alexander's eyes were cold, and a dark aura surrounded him.
Several black cars then sped into the night.
Caleb and Garrett couldn't believe Neil had the guts to kidnap Victoria.
In an abandoned factory, Victoria looked at Neil, surprised to see him.
"What? Here to settle scores?" she smirked at Neil.
Even tied up and disheveled, she remained aloof and cold.
She glanced at his bandaged wrist. "Guess I went too easy on you last time. Now you think you can get even."
Victoria's arrogance provoked Neil.
With a sinister smile, he said, "Let's see how long you can stay arrogant. I'll make you pay for every humiliation I suffered at the Howard family."
Victoria ignored his words and asked, "You and your mother were banned from Howard Villa. Are you looking to be kicked out of the Howard family this time?"
"Shut up!" Neil snapped. "Alexander won't know it was me. He's in trouble himself now. Do you think he can protect you? Dream on!"
"What do you mean?" Victoria frowned. She had just talked to Alexander yesterday. Could something have happened today?
Her heart tightened.
"He's now unconscious, his life hanging by a thread. What do you think?" Neil laughed maniacally.
Impossible!
That was Victoria's immediate thought. She knew Alexander too well.
Neil seemed to read her thoughts. "No matter how many people have his back, there's always a slip-up. You get that, right?"
Victoria knew she couldn't let Neil's words shake her. Whether true or false, she would verify it herself. Right now, she had to deal with the immediate problem.
Even if she was worried, she had to suppress it; otherwise, it would become her weakness.
"Really? Unless I see it with my own eyes, I won't believe you," Victoria sneered, staying calm.
Seeing her disbelief, Neil began to describe vividly, "He was shot twice by a sniper. I heard he didn't even have a chance to react before he fell, covered in blood, and was carried away by his assistant." He laughed. "I have his photos. You wanna see?"
Her hands, tied behind her back, clenched tightly, but her face remained eerily calm, showing no emotion.
Victoria didn't respond to his words. Instead, she narrowed her eyes and asked, "So, did you do this?"
Neil wasn't stupid and knew she was trying to get information from him.
"Trying to get a word from me? No rush, there will be plenty of time to tell you everything later," he said with a sinister smile.
