Chapter 273 I'm the Bastard
Victoria walked in and made a beeline for the bathroom.
Sophia and Kimberly exchanged puzzled looks but didn't say a word. They just stood there, waiting.
A minute later, Victoria emerged with a washbasin full of water.
Sophia's eye twitched. Kimberly's face showed a hint of surprise.
On the bed lay a handsome guy, sprawled out in a less-than-graceful position, with just his arm sticking out. His muscular build was so impressive, it almost made you forget how awkward he looked.
Ellington was out cold, a goofy smile on his face, lost in some dream.
Sophia shot him a look of disdain, half-hiding her face with her hand.
Victoria, holding the basin, stared at Ellington with a blank expression. Without a second thought, she dumped the water on him.
Ellington had been dreaming about lounging on a couch, munching on his favorite barbecue. Suddenly, the scene shifted, and he found himself dunked in a tank of icy water.
The shock of the cold and the water up his nose snapped him awake. He leaped out of bed in a panic.
He looked ridiculous, like a spring-loaded toy, kicking off the blanket and standing there in just his underwear.
Kimberly glanced at him and then quickly looked away.
Victoria and Sophia didn't even flinch.
A few seconds later, Ellington felt the chill and the discomfort in his nose. He realized it wasn't a dream.
Water dripped from his face, blurring his vision. He started cursing.
Ellington was a gang leader, and no one had dared to mess with him since he took charge.
"Who the hell barged into my room? Is it..." He stopped mid-sentence, wiping the water from his face. When he saw who it was, he froze, mouth agape.
He thought he was seeing things. He rubbed his eyes and looked again. Victoria stood there, hands in her pockets, her cold eyes fixed on him.
She said flatly, "Put on glasses if you need to. Is the bastard in front of you have the right to barge into your room?"
Her words made Ellington shiver. He jabbered, "Yes, no, I'm the bastard."
The sudden shift in his attitude was almost comical. Who would've thought the tough gang leader Ellington could be so spineless, even calling himself a bastard?
After speaking, he noticed her meaningful look. He didn't get it at first. Then he followed her gaze down to himself. He cursed silently, 'Damn!'
He quickly grabbed the blanket and covered himself to protect his dignity.
With a handsome but gloomy face, he scanned the three women in front of him, wary and embarrassed. He had never felt so humiliated in his life, standing there soaked and in his underwear.
"No one wants to see you half-naked. Get dressed and come out. We need to talk," Victoria said, her eyes full of contempt.
She turned and walked out, with Kimberly naturally following her.
Sophia paused, then turned back to Ellington with a teasing look. "Need a hand?"
Ellington's eyes darkened, and he snapped, "Get out!"
Sophia just sneered, "You only dare to throw a fit me. If you have the guts, take it out on Victoria." She flipped her hair and left the room.
Everyone knew Ellington was ruthless, but few knew he had someone he feared—Victoria.
If it ever came down to it, he'd die for her without a second thought.
In the living room, Ellington was now fully dressed in a white sweater and black casual pants, sitting on the couch like he owned the place.
What really stood out wasn't just his good looks but his striking silver-gray hair and the "8" earring on his right ear.
His features were sharp, like they were sculpted by a master artist.
Ellington's deep, mischievous eyes held a rare smile, his lips curving with a devilish charm, but his gaze was tender. In a low voice, he asked, "What do you want from me?"
If any of his subordinates saw him like this, they'd be scared out of their minds.
Victoria didn't waste time, "I need the location of Organization 103's new base."
Ellington's smile vanished. After a few seconds, he pressed his lips together and asked, "Why?"
Sophia was also taken aback.
Organization 103 was notorious. If Ellington was said to be ruthless, they were downright evil.
Victoria didn't hide anything, "They showed up and took George."
Ellington leaned back, his long fingers tapping his cheek rhythmically.
He tilted his head slightly, his eyes piercing, "So, you want to rescue him?"
Victoria met his gaze, silent but determined.
The room fell silent.
After a long pause, he pressed his tongue against his lips, clearly displeased, his eyes unreadable, "I've worked hard to keep you hidden all these years, and now you want to go after them?"
He said bluntly, "They don't know where you are. Why risk it? I can't help you with this, even if you beg."
