Chapter 322 Do You Think You Are Invincible to Mess with Her?
On the helicopter, Alexander got a call from Preston. "Dad, when did this happen?" Alexander's face turned dark, his perfect features now icy cold.
Caleb and Garrett immediately knew something was up. "Dad, let me handle this," Alexander said.
An hour ago, Saskia went missing. She had plans to hang out with a friend in the morning and was supposed to be back by 3:30 PM, but it was almost 4 PM now.
No calls, nothing. Preston thought it was weird and tried calling, but neither Saskia nor the driver picked up. He then reached out to Saskia's friend, who said they split up at 2:30 PM. That was when Preston knew something was off.
Preston knew Saskia well. Even if she had other plans, she'd let him know she wouldn't be back and she'd never ignore his calls.
Preston quickly had someone check the surveillance footage. It turned out that after leaving the coffee shop with her friend, Saskia did get into the family car and left.
The car initially headed towards Howard Villa. But twenty minutes later, it suddenly changed direction, heading towards the highway entrance, and then disappeared down a small road. No cameras on that road, so they lost track.
Preston immediately went to that small road and found the family car abandoned in an open area. There was no one in the car; only the bag Saskia had taken with her in the morning was lying on the back seat.
Plus, Saskia's phone and bank cards were all there, so Preston figured whoever took her didn't do it for money. And the Howard family's cars are marked, so no one would dare to mess with them.
"Luke, I'll count to three," Victoria said, her eyes cold. "Tell me where the person you captured is."
Luke wasn't scared. "What if I don't?"
Victoria ignored him and started counting down. "Three."
"Two, not much time left!" Victoria reminded him.
"One! Then I'll break one of your legs!" As soon as Victoria finished speaking, a painful grunt followed.
Luke, who had been standing, suddenly dropped to one knee, instantly lowering himself.
Luke's men were about to move when Leroy shouted, "Don't move if you want Luke to live!"
Victoria didn't hold back just now. She lifted her foot and kicked the back of Luke's knee without hesitation, making his tall and strong body kneel instantly. "It hurts, you bitch, how dare you step on me!" Luke suddenly howled and cursed. Victoria pressed her foot down on Luke's ankle, twisting it forcefully.
Luke was about to resist when something hard pressed against the back of his head. Victoria's low, icy voice came from behind him. "Don't move. If my hand shakes again, you'll have a hole in your head, and no one can save you."
What surprised Luke even more was Victoria's immense strength. Despite her petite frame, Luke felt as if a 300-450 pound person was stepping on his ankle, about to break it.
"Speak! Where is the person?" Victoria's cold eyes narrowed, and she increased the pressure with her foot.
Luke was sweating profusely from the pain, his body bending forward, veins bulging on his forehead, and his hands clenched into fists against the ground. Victoria was never a merciful person.
Leroy stood by, watching, and even he felt the pain for Luke. He thought, 'Of all people to mess with, he chose her. Does he really think he's invincible?'
After a few seconds, Luke still didn't speak. Suddenly, the quiet tunnel echoed with the sound of a bone snapping. This was followed by Luke's agonized scream.
"You'd better hope you never fall into my hands." Despite the intense pain, Luke stubbornly refused to disclose anything. Victoria actually admired this about him.
Victoria couldn't be bothered with Luke; she didn't want to waste time. Since Luke wouldn't talk, someone else would. She slowly moved the gun in her hand, pointing it at Luke's head.
Luke's subordinates across from them widened their eyes, fearing Victoria's hand might tremble in the next second.
Victoria stared down the group across from her, her gaze like ice, making them shiver. Her presence was so intense, it felt like a physical weight pressing down on them.
"If you want your boss to live, tell me where the other two captives are," Victoria said, her voice low and dangerous. She gave a cold smile. "Or else, Luke gets a bullet in the head."
A gunshot echoed through the tunnel as Victoria fired a shot at the ground, making everyone jump, including Luke. "At the tunnel exit," one of Luke's men shouted, clearly terrified.
Victoria frowned. "Leroy, go to the tunnel exit and bring him along."
"Yes," Leroy replied.
With Luke in their hands, his men could only watch as Victoria took him away. Victoria drove, with Leroy and Luke in the back seat.
"Aren't we going to rescue the boss?" one of Luke's men asked a guy with a crew cut.
"With them at the tunnel exit, Victoria can't escape," the crew-cut guy said with a sly look. "Ram their car and chase them immediately."
In Victoria's car, Luke, enduring the pain in his broken ankle, stubbornly said, "You won't get away. No matter what, you're staying here today. This place will be your grave."
Leroy slapped the back of Luke's head hard. "Shut up!"
Leroy said exasperatedly, "I think it's your grave. Don't you see who you're messing with? Do you really think you can keep boasting like this and still have the guts to challenge Victoria? If you want to make money, at least make sure you live to spend it!"
Luke was stunned by the slap. Today was the most humiliating day of his life. He had his ankle broken by Victoria and got slapped. For years, he had only been the one hitting others, never the other way around.
Leroy looked at Luke's fierce glare, combined with the hideous scar on his face, and found him utterly repulsive.
"What are you looking at? Never seen a handsome guy hit someone?" Leroy retorted.
At that moment, Victoria's phone rang. She reached for it, steering with one hand. The car was speeding at its maximum, yet it remained stable. "Hello."
It was Alexander, who had finally gotten through after many attempts. "Where are you?" Alexander's deep voice came through the phone.
Victoria briefly explained her situation. Hearing that Victoria was safe, Alexander still couldn't relax. He then told her that Saskia was missing.
Victoria immediately understood that the person Luke had captured was Saskia. "I know where Saskia is. Don't worry, I'll bring her back safely," Victoria said.
"You've already got their leader. Wait for me to get there. Don't act on your own. Listen to me," Alexander said.
"Alexander, I can't promise you with absolute certainty." Victoria hesitated, biting her lip. She needed to make decisions based on the situation on the ground, and she didn't know Saskia's condition, so she couldn't promise Alexander that. Moreover, Saskia was captured because of her.
Victoria could clearly hear Alexander's breathing quicken on the other end of the line. She quickly added, "I promised you before that I wouldn't let anything happen to myself. Trust me like you always have."
"After all, I can't bear to leave you. We haven't had enough time together as a couple yet." Victoria's clear voice carried a hint of tenderness.
The two men in the back seat were dumbfounded. Especially Luke, he thought, 'Is this still the same woman who was just moments ago exuding a menacing aura, speaking harsh words to me, and ruthlessly breaking my ankle?'
And Victoria had just called out a name. Luke recognized it immediately. Alexander's name wasn't only well-known in the business world; it was also legendary in the underworld and shady dealings..
Luke wondered, 'But how could such a distinguished man possibly be with Victoria, the unfavored daughter of the Kennedy family? It's simply unthinkable.'
