Chapter 129 Clara's Stubbornness
Victoria was used to it and didn't care.
"What? Can't say it?" She smirked at Clara, who looked pale. "I'll say it for you."
She flipped through the booklet and began, "Everyone says Clara is the jewel of Rihegde, while I'm the mean one who bullies her." She glanced at Oliver and Simon. "Right?"
Without waiting for a response, Victoria continued, "But who knew Clara is two-faced?" She smiled at Clara. "Right, jewel of Rihegde?"
The sarcasm was clear.
Clara instinctively retorted, "I'm not. Stop lying."
Elodie defended Clara, glaring at Victoria. "Stop causing trouble. Clara's efforts are obvious."
Victoria's cold aura intensified. "Want to know what this is?" She showed the booklet to Oliver and Simon. "It has eight original compositions Clara and Elodie took from my room."
Clara shouted, "I didn't!"
Oliver and Simon looked at Clara in disbelief.
Elodie stepped forward. "Why would Clara take your booklet? And how can you prove it's yours?"
Clara shook her head at Oliver and Simon, looking hurt. "Grandpa, Dad, I didn't take it." She looked at Victoria with teary eyes. "Victoria, why accuse me? You gave it to me."
Victoria sneered, "You two are ridiculous. One asks for proof, the other says I gave it to you. Do you think I'm a fool?"
She glared sharply. "Do you think I'd give something so important to someone who wants me out of the Kennedy family?"
Victoria's intense aura left Clara speechless.
No matter how Clara explained, it wouldn't work, but as long as Oliver and Simon believed her, it was fine. Besides, outsiders wouldn't know.
However, Clara didn't know that everything was being live-streamed from the moment Victoria entered the Kennedy villa.
"But you really gave it to me. I'm not lying." Clara tried to look pitiful, insisting Victoria gave it to her.
Oliver and Simon had always favored Clara, trusting her more than Victoria.
"Clara has never competed with you for anything. How could she take it?" Simon said.
Victoria knew they believed Clara. It was expected.
"It seems you want me to show evidence, Clara. Do you think I know nothing after all these years?" Victoria squinted at her.
"I don't know why you're accusing me. After my mom and I moved in, we took your place, but it wasn't my intention. I've always tried to make it up to you. Since childhood, I've saved the best things for you. I don't expect you to accept us, but we have a clear conscience. If it makes you feel better, I can move out with my mom." Clara whimpered.
Clara's words won Oliver and Simon's support.
Elodie didn't know Clara's plan, but when Clara said her last sentence, she secretly tugged at her clothes.
The two seemed to have reached a consensus.
"Clara is right. At worst, we'll move out. I've always had a clear conscience towards you." Elodie said firmly.
