Chapter 236 Victoria Defends Marlowe

As soon as Victoria walked in, she heard someone yelling like a banshee.

"You shameless bitch! How dare you mess with my husband, you homewrecker!"

Victoria glanced over and saw Marlowe sitting on a bench, head down, not saying a word. Her hair was a bit of a mess.

A female cop nearby told the angry woman, "Hey, cut it out. Watch your mouth. This ain't your living room!"

But the woman, still fuming, stood there with her hands on her waist, glaring daggers at Marlowe, totally ignoring the cop.

She'd been wondering why her husband was suddenly so keen on picking up and dropping off their kid at extracurriculars. Today, she didn't tell him and stalked him. She saw him grinning at the stunning Marlowe and even hugging her. She lost it and dashed up to slap Marlowe.

The woman kept ranting, "And you call yourself a teacher! Messing with my husband and wrecking my family, aren't you scared of karma? Looking at you. It's obvious your parents didn't raise you right! Maybe your parents are just like you. Like mother, like daughter."

Marlowe clenched her fists. She could take the insults, but her parents were her bottom line.

Just as Marlowe was about to snap back, she heard a cold voice next to her. "Lady, you say she seduced your husband. What exactly about your husband is worth seducing?"

Marlowe looked at Victoria, who had appeared out of nowhere, feeling a bit stunned.

The angry woman, also caught off guard by Victoria's sudden appearance, was about to speak when Victoria cut her off again.

Victoria's kept rounding on her, "She's gorgeous. You think she's into your husband's beer belly? Or his age? Or maybe his bald head? Or is it his money? Last I checked, your husband is unemployed, right?"

Victoria didn't give her a chance to respond, nor did she care about her shock.

Victoria glanced at Marlowe, whose face had a red handprint, but it didn't take away from her grace and beauty.

Then Victoria turned her gaze to the balding man cowering in the corner, her words dripping with disdain. "Anyone with half a brain wouldn't pick a guy like him. With her looks, she could easily find someone way better. You think she seduced your husband just 'cause he helped her up? You seriously need to get your eyes checked."

Lila had given Victoria a quick rundown over the phone, so on the way, Victoria had called Kimberly to get the surveillance footage and dig into the family's background.

Victoria always liked to be prepared.

The angry woman was left speechless by Victoria's words.

The cops nearby couldn't help but admire Victoria. Not only had she a pretty face, but her wits left the woman with nothing to say.

They had reviewed the footage. The guy had only helped Marlowe up, and there was no prior interaction.

But the woman was relentless, insisting Marlowe had seduced her husband.

Honestly, with Marlowe's looks, she didn't need to seduce anyone's husband.

Marlowe was also a bit taken aback, her anger fading.

She hadn't expected Victoria to be even more fierce than Lila when it came to putting someone in their place.

Alexander, who had followed Victoria in, hadn't expected to see such a fierce side of her either.

"If she wanted a man, it would be by my husband's standards. Your husband doesn't cut it; it's not convincing." Victoria then pointed to Alexander standing behind her.

Alexander's mouth twitched.

Everyone followed her gesture and gasped. He was so handsome, it was hard to look away.

Even with all the eyes on him, Alexander only had eyes for Victoria.

Alexander's mouth held a helpless yet adoring smile, making it even harder for people to look away.

It was all a misunderstanding, but the angry woman insisted on making a scene and slapped Marlowe twice. The woman's harsh words were unbearable. Marlowe couldn't hold back and slapped her back.
