Chapter 71 Neil Falls into the Lotus Pond

Neil heard Victoria's question and thought she was on board. His grin got wider and more arrogant, eyes full of disdain as he stared at her.

"Sure, name it," Neil said, his smile turning lecherous.

Samantha, nearby, warned Victoria, "Don't trust him."

Victoria smiled back, reassuring her, "It's fine." She then looked at Neil, just a couple of steps away, and gave a faint, enchanting smile. She had a charm that made men fall for her.

"Alright, but I don't need anything from you. How about a bet?" Victoria asked, smiling.

Seeing her frail appearance, Neil didn't think much and agreed, "Sure, what's the bet?"

Victoria's smile hid a cold glint in her eyes. Her delicate face masked the chill in her gaze, so no one noticed.

"If you can do this, I'll dump Alexander and be your girlfriend," Victoria said, her eyes narrowing with a faint smile. Every move she made was a temptation to Neil.

Marcus, not far behind, felt a chill. He could already foresee Alexander's anger if he heard Victoria's words. Neil was doomed.

He glanced at Neil, who was foolishly provoking Victoria.

"What is it? Tell me, there's nothing I can't do," Neil said arrogantly.

Victoria spoke slowly, "Beat me!" She seemed nonchalant.

Everyone was stunned. What kind of bet was this?

They looked at Victoria with sympathy. She was overestimating herself.

Neil was a hedonist but also a seventh-degree black belt in Taekwondo. Victoria was courting disaster.

Samantha was shocked, eyes full of worry. "Victoria, you can't beat him. He's a seventh-degree black belt in Taekwondo."

Victoria still smiled reassuringly.

Neil was stunned for a few seconds before laughing wildly at Victoria's naivety.

"I'll give you another chance. Choose another bet. You heard it; I'm a seventh-degree black belt. You really think you, a woman, can beat me?" Neil mocked, "Isn't that a pipe dream? Or have you already fallen for me?" he teased.

To everyone, Victoria's bet seemed like she was trying to please Neil. Some sympathized, others despised her for being so shameless. With someone as great as Alexander, she still messed around with Neil, showing her vanity.

Victoria ignored Neil's teasing and the disdain from others.

She glanced at Neil coldly and said, "How do you know if you don't try? Or are you afraid to bet?"

Neil couldn't stand being questioned, especially by a woman he fancied.

"Fine, I'll take you on," Neil replied.

Neil's every word and action dripped with mockery, and his gaze was suggestive.

Marcus, hearing about the fight, thought it was over. Should he call an ambulance for Neil in advance?

Victoria was in a dress, which made moving around tricky, yet she still proposed this crazy bet.

Samantha walked over and reminded her, "Victoria, you're in a dress. It might be hard to move. Maybe call it off?"

This was the third time Samantha had worried about her. Victoria found Samantha quite lovely. They had just met, yet she was so concerned, unlike the profit-driven Kennedy family. She was touched.

Victoria smiled, "Don't worry, it's a piece of cake."

She was only going to use her hands, not her feet.

She hadn't planned to make a move in the Howard family, but since Neil had provoked her, she wouldn't hold back.

Just below the viewing platform was a pond.

Neil saw Victoria stand up and squinted, looking her up and down again. Her figure was fantastic, more enticing than any woman he had ever met.

The onlookers had to admit that Victoria's looks and figure were perfect. No wonder Neil risked offending Alexander to tease her.

Such a shameless woman wasn't fit to be the wife of the Howard family's leader.

This was the consensus among the onlookers.

Neil was getting impatient. He was determined to have Victoria. He dared to tease her because he knew she wouldn't win Alexander's favor. Everyone knew Alexander didn't love any woman; he wouldn't get mad over Victoria. Besides, their branch always supported him.

Looking at Victoria's skin, he couldn't help but reach out to touch her face, with a mocking smile, "Come, show me... ah..."

Before Neil's hand could touch Victoria, he let out a cry of pain, followed by a crisp sound, like a bone breaking.

Those standing close heard it clearly and showed expressions of horror.

Some didn't even see how Victoria moved, only hearing Neil's scream.

The most surprised person was Neil himself. He never expected Victoria to have such strength. She broke his wrist with a light grip.

He looked at her in horror and anger, but the pain from his broken wrist made his heart cold, and cold sweat appeared on his forehead.

He gritted his teeth and shouted viciously, "Bitch, you're asking for it!"

Victoria's almond eyes narrowed, emitting a chilling light that made one's heart shiver.

Neil endured the pain and was about to kick Victoria, but as soon as he lifted his leg, Victoria swiftly sidestepped, dodging it. His kick hit nothing but air, and in the seconds he stood there stunned, Victoria had somehow already moved behind him.

Before anyone could see how Victoria moved, Neil had already uncontrollably fallen into the lotus pond below the viewing platform.

With a loud splash, he fell into the lotus pond, causing quite a scene.

No one expected such a bizarre and dramatic reversal to happen in less than a minute.
