Chapter 202 Worried? Or Jealous?
The underground training ground was jam-packed with folks.
The ring was surrounded by a rowdy crowd, everyone hollering at the top of their lungs.
"Mrs. Howard, you're a beast!"
"Mrs. Howard, keep it up!"
"Mrs. Howard, you're my hero from now on!"
Dylan and the gang were hanging out by the second-floor railing, watching the whole thing with their jaws practically on the floor. This was hands down the wildest match they'd ever seen.
Then they noticed Alexander, looking more ticked off by the second. Who knew if he was worried about Victoria or just plain jealous.
Alexander didn't jump in right away but stood there all high and mighty by the railing, watching the action go down in the ring below.
In the ring, Victoria was rocking tight black pants and a black long-sleeved tee. The shirt was a bit long, so she tied it at her waist, showing off her slim midriff, looking like a total badass.
Her opponent was this huge, ripped dude with muscles for days. If he threw a punch, he could probably smash a wooden board.
Most guys would back off facing a beast like that, let alone a woman.
But Victoria? She didn't even flinch. She was cool as a cucumber, like the guy in front of her was just a blow-up doll.
She stayed chill even with the guy's wild attacks, blocking them like it was no big deal.
While she could handle his hits no problem, he definitely couldn't take hers.
She moved like lightning, hitting him with speed and precision that left him in the dust. Her relentless attacks quickly took him down. Despite her delicate look, her punches were no joke, powered by her insane strength and skill. But she was getting tired; her hits weren't as strong as before. Still, she wasn't backing down.
Just then, the guy swung at her. Victoria ducked, spun around, and nailed him in the side with her elbow. The dude stumbled back a few steps. Seizing the moment, Victoria spun, grabbed his arm, yanked hard, and kneed him right in the gut.
The guy let out a groan and dropped to one knee, muttering, "Mrs. Howard, please stop, I give up."
Victoria was about to kick him again but pulled back just in time when she heard him.
She hadn't taken a break in hours, showing off her crazy stamina.
Plus, she hadn't even gotten any serious injuries. The early opponents didn't take her seriously, but the later ones sure did, and still, none of them could beat her.
Victoria's moves today had everyone both scared and impressed. No wonder she could stand next to Alexander; she proved she wasn't just a pretty face with no skills.
Before today, everyone knew Alexander was married, but they all thought Victoria was just some weak woman.
Now, they realized they were dead wrong.
Dylan and the crew on the second floor watched as Victoria took down a huge bodyguard with one brutal kick. They felt a shiver, like that kick could come their way any second.
After stopping, Victoria felt a strong, intense gaze on her. She turned and looked up, locking eyes with Alexander. She froze for a moment.
Everyone saw the fierce look on Victoria's face soften, her sharp demeanor melting away instantly.
Following her gaze, they saw a face as cold and dark as night, and everyone went silent. Alexander was here.
Alexander stood there, not moving an inch, with no plans to come down or leave. He just squinted, staring at Victoria in the ring.
Victoria saw a flicker of anger in his deep eyes and felt a pang of panic. He was pissed.
She had come here to blow off some steam. When she got the surveillance video, she watched it herself and found that, just like Wesley said, everything was fine, no issues at all.
But she still felt uneasy, getting more agitated the more she thought about it, unable to figure it out. She wanted to relax and hadn't trained in a while.
Before coming, she had specifically told them not to notify Alexander or let him in, but she had miscalculated. After all, this was his turf.
She didn't have time to think about anything else. She quickly jumped off the ring and ran towards the second floor.
Seeing her coming, Alexander turned and left with a stern face.
Everyone was stunned.
Wasn't Alexander going to wait for Victoria?
Dylan and the others were confused, not sure whether to stay or leave.
When Victoria reached the second floor, she only saw them and not Alexander. "Where did he go?"
Dylan pointed down the long hallway. "He left."
Victoria was taken aback. It seemed he was really mad.
She sighed and chased after him.
Quentin, looking puzzled, asked, "What's Mr. Howard's deal?"
