Chapter 436 Admit Defeat, and I'll Give You the Antidote
To Ronnie, each step Victoria took felt like a dagger to his heart. Her eyes showed nothing but icy indifference.
Back then, he did fall in love with her at first sight.
Not because she was particularly beautiful.
But because, for the first time, someone wasn't afraid of him.
All his life, everyone had avoided him.
Until that year, he met her.
Not only was she not afraid of him, but she also had the guts to scold him.
She was even the first person to defy him.
No matter how he threatened or enticed her, she remained unmoved and even resisted.
But she never once looked at him properly, and she scoffed at his kindness towards her.
Suddenly, Ronnie started saying some irrelevant things.
"Victoria, why do you never look at me?" His face twisted with rage as he shouted at Victoria standing before him. "But you treat George so well? And Ellington, that bastard, why? His hands are just as dirty as mine, so why do you treat him so well?"
"You even go to great lengths to help him escape the hell of 103? But what about me? Why won't you help me?" he added.
She looked at him coldly. "Ronnie, I'm telling you one last time: release George!"
No matter what he said, she didn't respond.
Her eyes were only for George.
This undoubtedly made him jealous again.
Once more, he felt her cruelty towards him.
"Want to save him?" His face shifted from a snarl to a sinister smile in an instant.
He spread his hands. "Sure, as long as you can defeat Cameron and A, I'll give him to you."
"Ronnie, are you playing with me?"
"I just said, as long as you defeat all my men, you can save him. Cameron and A are my men, right?" Ronnie said with a sly smile.
"Victoria, you can't fight anymore." Marigold didn't expect Ronnie to go this far. She ran over, worried about Victoria's injuries.
Although Victoria had knocked down those eighteen people, she hadn't escaped unscathed.
But compared to those lying on the ground, she was the strongest.
Victoria had expended so much energy earlier; she must be nearing her limit by now.
If she agreed to Ronnie now, she definitely wouldn't be a match for the remaining two.
"Since they are your people and can represent you, then I am Victoria's person, and this time I'll fight for Victoria." Marigold said, looking at Ronnie.
Ronnie chuckled and said to Victoria, "No wonder she's your protégé, she's got guts and confidence. I admire such loyalty."
He changed his tone, "But this matter is non-negotiable. If you want to save George, she must do it herself!"
He turned his gaze to Marigold and pointed his finger harshly at Victoria.
Marigold was anxious.
"Marigold, I'm fine." Victoria raised her hand to stop Marigold from stepping forward.
To save George, she could still hold on.
"Victoria, you..." Marigold turned to meet her eyes, pursed her lips, and suddenly fell silent.
"Who's first?" Victoria glanced at the two large men standing like guardians on either side of Ronnie.
A stepped forward.
To be honest, he had some admiration for Victoria.
He hadn't seen such an impressive fight in a long time.
And she was a woman, her combat skills were on par with a small squad they had trained.
So, he didn't underestimate her, nor did he let his guard down because she had expended energy earlier.
After a few rounds of exchanges, A was even more convinced of his thoughts.
If she hadn't expended so much energy earlier, he probably wouldn't have been able to withstand her attacks.
The fight became more intense.
Punches and kicks flew, neither giving an inch.
Victoria suddenly let out a muffled groan.
A concentrated all his strength in his right leg and delivered a spinning kick to Victoria's abdomen.
She reacted a few seconds too late. Although she managed to absorb some of the impact, she was still knocked back a few steps.
Using the strength of her heels to stand firm, she avoided being sent flying.
Clutching her abdomen with one hand and holding a dagger in the other, she steadied herself.
A wasn't in great shape either.
His right cheek had a bloody gash from her dagger.
Her knife skills were so fast that he didn't even notice. It wasn't until he felt the pain that he realized he had been cut.
His face felt like it was burning with fire, or being gnawed by a thousand ants.
"Is your dagger poisoned?" A shouted at Victoria.
Ronnie was stunned.
Victoria was indifferent.
He hadn't set any rules for this fight, so she wasn't breaking any.
Sweat or water droplets glistened on her forehead. She raised an eyebrow, still panting, but her voice was firm, "You lost!"
"Admit defeat, and I'll give you the antidote!" She glanced at Ronnie, speaking slowly, "Otherwise, in less than three minutes, your man will die."
Ronnie narrowed his green eyes, staring at her.
He wondered if her dagger had been poisoned from the start or if she had added it later.
If it was the former, was she planning to kill him?
"Master." A looked at Ronnie.
