Chapter 362 So, I'm Not Good Enough?
"Are you planning to go there alone again?" Thomas didn't need to guess; he already knew what Victoria was thinking.
"When are you going to break this bad habit of going solo? I don't even know when you picked it up!" Thomas said irritably.
Victoria lowered her eyes, a dark glint flashing in them as she stayed silent for a moment, quietly taking a deep breath. "Probably after Lon Ramos left."
Thomas was stunned for a moment, then he reached out and slapped his own mouth, realizing he had brought up a sensitive topic.
Everyone knew that Lon's death had become a sore spot in Victoria's heart.
No one knew what happened back then, not even George, who was there at the time.
He only knew that one day both were taken away, and only Victoria came back.
George said that from that day on, Victoria changed and became very silent.
Victoria didn't want to talk about what happened between her and Lon, and they didn't force her to.
Victoria glanced at him sideways. "Alright, I'm not blaming you."
She twisted the wedding ring on her left ring finger with her right hand and continued, "I'm just used to it because I don't want anyone to leave this world or get hurt because of me."

Plus, Lon's death back then was also because he saved Victoria.

Anything Victoria could do herself, she would never let anyone help or interfere.

Thomas always saw strength in her, but now, Victoria seemed to have concerns.
Thomas reached out and ruffled her hair. "Whatever you want to do, we support you and will always be your strongest backing."
"Lon wouldn't want to see you like this," Thomas advised. "Why do you have to shut yourself off so much? I don't deny your strength, but sometimes, one person's power is limited."
Thomas didn't want Victoria to hide things from him, nor did he want her to bear everything alone.
Victoria pursed her lips and said nothing.
Meanwhile, Garrett had been waiting for an hour.
Lyle hadn't come, and more importantly, neither Thomas nor Victoria had come out.
As for Alexander, he had no intention of showing up. Garrett had called him, but he was indifferent.
Garrett thought for a moment and took out his phone to make a call.
"Alexander, you really aren't worried at all? Victoria has been in there for an hour," Garrett said directly as soon as the call connected.
On the other end, Alexander asked indifferently, "So what do you want?"
Garrett retorted, "What do you mean by that? That's your wife, not mine!"
Alexander replied, "Victoria just went to see a friend. Do I have to lock her up at home and not let her see anyone?"
Garrett was speechless.
So? Was Garrett worrying for nothing?
Garrett said, "Since when did Victoria and Thomas become friends? You know what kind of person Thomas is."
But Alexander remained calm. "Who she befriends is her right. I have no right to interfere."
"When did you become so generous?" Garrett was puzzled by Alexander's words. "Not jealous? After all, Thomas is good-looking, comes from a prominent family, and is the boss of Heaven's Net."
Alexander asked again, "So, am I that bad?"
Garrett was speechless again.
Alexander was so calm this time because of what happened with Bryan before. Alexander indeed didn't like other men around Victoria.
But if it was a close friend of Victoria's, that was different.
As far as he knew, Bryan and Thomas were friends.
This time, he didn't act impulsively or do anything rash.
More importantly, he trusted Victoria.

Garrett asked again, "Did you come here alone?"
At this moment, the lock on the door behind Kimberly turned, and the door was opened from the inside.
Thomas was the first to come out.
After coming out, Thomas saw the man standing there and glanced at the several people at the door, then said, "It's quite lively at the door."
Thomas's deep, inscrutable eyes looked at Garrett, and he smirked with a hint of sarcasm. "I didn't expect the boss of Diamond Dice Casino to have a hobby of guarding doors."
Garrett pressed his tongue against his lip and didn't get angry at his words. Instead, he smiled and said, "I'm here on someone's behalf to check things out."
Victoria had just come out of the restroom and heard the voices outside, which sounded familiar.
When she saw Garrett, she was slightly stunned and instinctively looked behind him, not seeing Alexander.
"Garrett, what are you doing here?" She looked at Garrett with clear eyes and asked.
Garrett gave Victoria a kind smile, "I happened to be here on business and saw you, so I came to check."
Thomas sneered, "Didn't you just say you were here on someone's behalf?"
Victoria was puzzled.
