Chapter 429 Enemy Relationship

When Marcus received Brian's call, he was even more shocked than Brian.

He could already picture what was about to happen. His heart raced with anxiety, as if he were standing on the edge of a cliff.

"Wait for me, let me inform Mr. Howard first, Mr. Howard might have more questions later," Marcus said.

Marcus did not hang up the phone but made a very smart prediction.

His steps were a bit unsteady as he walked towards where Alexander was.

They were in a large open area, where several tents were also set up.

Standing here, there was a feeling of overlooking everything.

Because they were at the highest point of this forest, with a dense jungle at the foot of the mountain.

"Mr. Howard, Brian just encountered Kimberly." Marcus swallowed, his voice trembling, "Mrs. Howard is also here."

He didn't even have the courage to look at Alexander.

The three men sitting side by side all had expressions of shock on their faces.

Alexander's brows furrowed, and a flash of something inscrutable passed through his deep, dark eyes.

Almost as soon as Marcus finished the first half of his sentence, Alexander's handsome face instantly darkened, followed by extreme coldness, more terrifying than his usual self.

"Marcus, did I hear you right? You said Victoria is here? Where? Victoria went to Aidamore, didn't she?" Gideon was so shocked that his mouth almost dropped open.

Owen gave Alexander a meaningful look but said nothing.

Marcus raised his head slightly, looking at Alexander sitting in the middle.

One look and he was scared stiff.

Alexander's serious face was more terrifying than the recent storm and thunder.

Marcus immediately turned on the speakerphone, and Kimberly's voice came through to everyone. "Mr. Howard, I'm sorry. I didn't keep an eye on Mrs. Howard."

Kimberly was very guilty at this moment, she explained the situation to Alexander.

At the same time, she looked at Thomas and said, "Mr. Taylor is also here."

Thomas was silent.

He rolled his eyes; he didn't want Alexander to know he was there.

But Alexander's voice rang out at this moment, "Let him take the call; I have something to ask him."

Alexander's voice was low and cold, without a trace of emotion."Why didn't you take her back to Aidamore?"

Thomas had always been fearless, except for being afraid of Victoria getting angry or hurt.

But just now, he actually felt a bit scared of Alexander.

He paused and replied, "She is your wife. And she is stubborn; what can I do?"

Winter, standing next to him, widened his eyes in disbelief.

Did Thomas just betray Victoria?

Alexander closed his eyes and finally asked, "What is her relationship with 103?"

He had investigated before but never found any useful information.

And his intuition told him that Thomas definitely knew the reason.

Thomas was slightly stunned. Alexander didn't know?

Then it struck him: if Alexander knew, Victoria wouldn't have sneaked out here.

After thinking for a moment, Thomas just said, "Enemies."

Victoria crouched in a bush, through the gaps, she could see two men in black standing not far away.

Then, she picked up a small stone beside her and threw it to her right, making some noise.

The two men in black heard the noise from the bush and looked over.

One of the men in black was about to go check it out but was stopped by the other. "Forget it, don't go. It's probably just rabbits or pheasants in the mountains."

The man in black thought for a moment. "I better go check; it would be troublesome if someone broke in."

The other person laughed and said, "This is the back of the cave, and behind the cave is a cliff, no one would come here, otherwise, A wouldn't have only arranged for the two of us to guard here."

As soon as he finished speaking, there was another sound from the bush.

The man in black said, "Forget it. I better go check, and you stay here."

The man in black went for a while and didn't come back.

078 took a few steps forward and shouted in the direction 076 had gone. "076, did you find anything?"

He shouted once, but no one responded. Taking another step forward and shouting again yielded the same silence. Instantly, he became alert.

Before he could do anything, he was kicked hard in the back, flying a few feet away, and before he could see who it was, his head was kicked hard again, and he passed out.

Victoria glanced at him, pulled him without hesitation, and threw him down the steep slope.

Soon, she met up with Eugene.

Eugene said, "Victoria, I have already put the drug in their drinking water as you said."

Then, Victoria took out two packets of powder from somewhere.

Eugene was very surprised. "Victoria, what is this?"

Victoria threw it to him. "This is powder that can attract the snakes in this mountain. Sprinkle the yellow packet near the cave entrance, and apply the white packet on yourself."

Eugene's scalp tingled.

Snakes?

Eugene asked, "It's still drizzling now, the powder will be washed away by the rain soon."

Victoria replied, "The rain will only speed up the spread of the powder; it won't dilute its scent."

She had developed this herself out of boredom before, and always carried it with her. It could not only attract snakes but also stop bleeding from wounds.

Eugene really thought Victoria was full of surprises.

Coming to this godforsaken place on short notice, she still had so many strange things on her.

After Eugene left, she figured it was almost time.
