Chapter 112 Alexander's Fury
At nine in the evening, after Victoria finished washing up and was lying in bed, she suddenly realized something: Alexander never mentioned where his business trip was.
Just then, her phone buzzed on her stomach. She picked it up and opened Facebook.
Alexander: [Hey babe, still in a mtg. Busy til late. Don't wait up. Sleep early.]
She replied: [Okay. Biz trip local or abroad?]
Alexander quickly responded: [Abroad. Be good. Go to sleep.]
Victoria saw his message but didn't ask which country. Since he was abroad, there must be a time difference.
Victoria: [Okay, you go ahead with your work.]
He replied: [Good night.]
With that "good night" and a bit of unease, she gradually fell asleep.
Alexander had an infected wound, a fever, and his voice was weak, so he made an excuse.
Caleb looked at the still handsome but sickly Alexander and asked, "Why not tell Victoria you got hurt? Wouldn't that strengthen your relationship? Why keep it from her?"
