Chapter 320 Only if You Have the Guts to Take Me Away

The yellowish light in the tunnel gave the car a warm glow, while the dim walls threw back the shadows of speeding vehicles.

The cars were in a full-blown chase, their engines roaring and echoing through the tunnel. The screeching tires were enough to make anyone's heart race. The flickering lights above cast an eerie glow on Victoria's unnervingly calm face.

To anyone watching, Victoria seemed to be in a tight spot, up against some serious opposition. But what they didn't know was that Victoria thrived in these situations. She had a fierce spirit that never backed down, no matter how tough things got.

The cars in the tunnel had no plans of stopping; their target was clear—the car in the middle. Victoria glanced at the rearview mirror, seeing the cars tailing her, then looked ahead at the one coming straight at her. She already had a plan.

In the dimly lit car, no one could see Victoria's expression. But in the darkness, her red lips stood out. She curled them into a strange, wicked smile.

Just when everyone thought the two cars in front would smash into her black G-Wagon, something unbelievable happened.

Eric, watching from a distance, shouted, "Her car... it's tipping over!"

Leroy, standing next to him, added, "She's driving on two wheels!"

Victoria's black G-Wagon suddenly tilted and drove on its side, slipping right through the gap between the two cars in front. The drivers of those cars were caught off guard. In their shock and confusion, Victoria's car had already slipped through.

Several loud bangs echoed in the tunnel. One was the sound of Victoria's G-Wagon landing, and the others were the crashes of the cars that had been flanking her. No one had expected her move, and the cars chasing her were going too fast to stop in time. Even with sharp turns, they still crashed into each other.

Everyone was stunned. In an instant, the tunnel was a chaotic mess, like a bubbling stew. Luke, following behind, saw the whole thing, completely taken aback. No one had told him this woman was such a skilled driver, and now everything was out of his control.

After her car landed, Victoria was a bit shaken. She glanced in the rearview mirror; the cars behind her were a wreck, scattered across the lanes, except for Luke's car, which was still intact. That was good enough.

Eric whispered to Leroy, "Leroy, we don't know what's going on in the car. How do we rescue the person?"

Leroy replied, "Wait. The road ahead is blocked; they'll have to get out of their cars."

Luke, furious, kicked a subordinate next to him. "Go see if they're all dead. If not, get them up!" he ordered.

"Yes, sir," the subordinate replied, scrambling out of the car.

Luke cursed under his breath, ran a hand through his hair in frustration, and picked up the phone to make a call.

After Victoria's car came to a stop, she stayed put. Just then, the phone that had slipped under the passenger seat started ringing. She remembered it had rung a few times earlier, but she hadn't had a chance to answer. She reached down, grabbed it, and answered.

"Ms. Kennedy, I didn't expect you to pull off a stunt like that. Impressive," Luke said through gritted teeth, then let out a cold laugh. "But don't forget, your grandmother is still in my hands."

"Cut the crap!" Victoria snapped. "How about a deal? Let my grandma go, and I'll come with you. After all, it's me you want."

Victoria thought to herself, 'Only if you have the guts to take me.'

As she spoke, she unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the car door, and stepped out.

Luke was momentarily stunned. She agreed so easily?

"Scared?" Victoria taunted. "A group of you, afraid of just one?"

Luke was the type who couldn't stand being provoked. No one had ever dared to challenge him like this. He looked up and saw Victoria, who had already gotten out of the car and was standing by the door. He had seen a photo of her before, and his first impression was that she was very beautiful.

But he hadn't expected such a beauty to be so fierce, not a delicate flower but a wild, bold woman. She had been chased by them all the way, but she showed no sign of fear. Instead, there was a wild pride about her.

Luke hung up the phone and got out of the car as well.

"Bring her out!" Luke shouted into the car.

When Thalia was brought out, she immediately saw Victoria standing not far away. She was relieved when she saw that Victoria was safe and sound. She had been on edge the whole way.

Seeing that Thalia was okay, Victoria also felt relieved and then continued walking.

Luke's group was now down to nine people, including himself, making ten. The rest had been knocked out in the earlier collision.

Luke watched Victoria walk forward and smiled wickedly. There were several cars between them, and to get across, she had to go around the side. Victoria walked while thinking. As she was about to reach the crashed cars, she stopped. Victoria looked at them and saw a man with a scar on his face. She spoke to him, "Let my grandmother walk over by herself, and then I'll come over."

Luke was surprised again. Victoria could tell at a glance that he was the leader, even though he had deliberately stood to the side to avoid being noticed.

Luke laughed a few times and, with a rough voice, shouted, "Why should I trust you?"

Victoria responded with a question, "Why should I trust you?"

Without waiting for Luke to answer, Victoria continued, "You have so many people, and I'm alone. What are you afraid of? My only request is for my grandmother's safety."

Luke pondered Victoria's words.

Seeing Luke hesitate, Victoria added, "If you're worried I'll trick you, you can personally bring my grandmother over. I'll go with you and let you do whatever you want. Besides, you can report back to that person. I can stall, but can you afford to? In a while, my people will arrive, and then it won't be me negotiating with you. It'll be whether you can leave here alive."

Hearing her bold words, Luke felt instantly uncomfortable. "I've never been afraid of anyone. No one can get you out of here, no matter who they are."

Victoria sneered, "Really? Do you know who stands before you?"
