Chapter 427 Meeting Again
Victoria walked to the base of the tree, lowering her gaze to look at the two children.
She then squatted down, resting her elbows on her knees, and looked at them at eye level.
The two children, having just witnessed her violence, were a bit scared of her approach and backed away.
Moreover, she was dressed in black, with her hood on, making her appear mysterious and eerie.
Victoria raised her hand to remove her hood, revealing her face, which was slightly wet from the rain.
"You are saved, but I have things to do and can't take you with me," Victoria said.
The little boy remained brave as always.
He sized up Victoria before slowly speaking, "Then what do you want us to do?"
Hearing this, Victoria raised her eyebrows slightly, a rare faint smile appearing on her lips.
This child was really smart, quickly understanding what she was about to say.
Then, the group left with the two children.
About twenty minutes later, the group arrived at the entrance of a small cave.
"Victoria, how did you know there was a cave here?" Eugene asked, bewildered.
Victoria glanced around to make sure everything was fine, then had Marigold take the two children inside.
"Because of the terrain of this mountain forest, there are many naturally formed small caves," Victoria explained briefly.
Mainly, she had just obtained a topographic map from those people, and she had studied this place before.
Then, she went inside as well.
"You will hide here for now. No matter what happens outside or who passes by, do not make a sound, understand?" she said.
The two children nodded.
Then, she took out her phone and found a photo.
"If you see him, you can go with him." She showed the photo to the two children.
She had Eugene leave their special marks along the way to lead Thomas and the others here.
And these marks were hard for others to notice.
The entrance to this cave was hidden, surrounded by forest and bushes, making it difficult for ordinary people to find.
After arranging for the two kids, she left a black cloth strip at the cave entrance and left with the three others.
"Master, they have been following the route we gave them for two hours now."
The man in black looked at a small display screen in his hand, a red dot moving in circles according to their planned route.
The man glanced at it, his cold voice sounding, "The people we sent out haven't returned yet?"
The man in black trembled. "Not yet."
It was strange. They had sent out a small team, and they were in contact half an hour ago, but then they lost contact.
"Master, it might be because of the rain, causing their equipment to malfunction," the man in black made an excuse.
The next second, he felt a chill surround him, and he immediately lowered his head.
The man was silent for a moment, then said, "Stay alert!"
The man in black was stunned for a moment, not daring to say anything more, and responded before leaving.
The man stood at the cave entrance, looking up at the drizzling sky.
He murmured, "We will meet again. I am looking forward to it."
If someone were beside him at this moment, they would notice that besides excitement, there was also a hint of hatred in his eyes.
"I don't think she is looking forward to meeting you." At this moment, a male voice came from behind the man.
He chuckled, turned around, and looked at the handsome man sitting on a stone chair in the cave. Despite the injuries on his face, his elegant and noble demeanor was unaffected.
"That's not important. What's important is that she is in the game," the masked man sneered, speaking slowly, "But you, she should be looking forward to seeing you."
Hearing this, the man's previously calm face slightly frowned.
He did not respond to the masked man's words.
He only hoped that Victoria would not come.
The masked man let out a few eerie laughs, the sound echoing in the empty cave, making it somewhat terrifying.
At this moment, Victoria and her group had found their location.
She knew the phone she took from Cecil had a tracking device, so she used a program to disrupt their signal, making them think their people were still there.
However, the other side was not foolish and would definitely figure it out.
But it could buy some time.
The group hid behind a rock wall.
"Victoria, someone is coming," Eugene whispered a reminder.
Victoria glanced over, seeing only one person. "Capture him alive."
Eugene replied, "Yes."
Then, he circled around to the right.
The man in black had come out to relieve himself.
Eugene approached him quietly and swiftly struck the back of his neck, knocking him out.
In a hidden corner, the man in black woke up in pain.
His hands and feet were tied, and his mouth was stuffed with a rag.
As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw four people in black standing in front of him.
A look of terror flashed across his face.
He tried to speak but could only make muffled sounds.
Eugene squatted down, squinting his eyes and staring at him, speaking harshly, "I will ask you questions, and if you answer, I will let you go."
The man in black neither nodded nor shook his head.
Eugene suddenly pulled out a small dagger from behind, tapping the blade on the man's cheek, continuing, "I've already removed the poison from your mouth, so don't even think about suicide."
This was Victoria's reminder.
These people were really ruthless, even to themselves.
"If you don't answer seriously or try to deceive us," he paused slightly, a cold glint in his eyes, "I will use this dagger to slowly cut you, or slice you piece by piece to feed the wild beasts in the mountains."
As he spoke, he gestured with the dagger, the tip moving from the man's cheek to his neck, throat, chest, and down to his abdomen.
A look of fear flashed in the man's eyes.
Then, he nodded.
Eugene asked, "How many of you are here? Think carefully before answering!"
After asking, he removed the rag from the man's mouth.
Almost immediately, the man in black tried to bite his tongue to commit suicide.
Eugene quickly grabbed his jaw and twisted it forcefully, dislocating it.
The man in black let out a muffled cry of pain.
Eugene stared at him darkly. "I told you, think carefully before answering!"
Victoria was not surprised by the man's actions. The people of the 103 organization were all carefully selected and would not easily surrender even if captured.
But she had ways to make him talk, just not enough time to waste here.
She lowered her gaze, a strange look in her eyes, and said, "Eugene, disguise yourself as him and infiltrate."
She glanced at the number on the man's clothes. "They all cover half their faces and go by numbers. Put on his clothes and take his place."
"Yes." Eugene replied.
