Chapter 314 I'd Rather Bite You Than Myself
Victoria slapped her hand over Alexander's mouth and clamped her other hand over her own.
His warm breath quickly heated her cold palms, sending a shiver down her spine.
"Are you pushing me away?" Alexander's deep, controlled voice slipped through her fingers, echoing with intensity.
His sharp eyebrows had a frosty edge, and a dangerous glint danced in his eyes.
Victoria shook her head, her hand still firmly over her mouth. "No, it's not that I'm scared of you," she paused, her bright almond eyes blinking, "I'm scared you'll regret it later."
Alexander raised an eyebrow, signaling her to spill the beans.
Victoria was stumped, unsure how to explain. Should she admit that she and Saskia had pigged out on what he called "junk" food? That'd be a dead giveaway.
Suddenly, an idea hit her. "My gums are bleeding, and I haven't rinsed my mouth, so there's a strong taste of blood."
Knowing his clean freak tendencies, she figured he'd back off.
But she forgot, this was Alexander, and his rules never applied when it came to her.
Just as she was about to pat herself on the back, Alexander's voice, deep and teasing, cut through. "Really? Perfect, let me taste your blood."
"What?" Victoria thought she misheard. "You!"
She stared at him, her long lashes fluttering against her skin, and asked, "What other flavors could I taste besides blood?"
Alexander's Adam's apple bobbed, and he chuckled. "If you don't let me taste it, how can I tell you?"
He had plenty of ways to make her let go, but he didn't want to force her.
Victoria thought, 'Nice try, buddy. Not happening.'
She raised an eyebrow. "Then taste your own blood, it's the same, and then you can tell me."
Alexander said, "Alright." He looked at her deeply. "Then help me bite it."
"I won't!" She shot back. "You just want me to let go so you can get your way, do it yourself."
Alexander felt a headache coming on. He thought to himself, 'She's so quick-witted; I really can't handle her.'
He gave her a look, and she got it.
The next second, she let go of his mouth and quickly covered her own with both hands, double protection.
Alexander propped himself up on the couch and stared at her; the way she acted as if she were guarding against a thief made him feel both annoyed and amused.
Actually, he loved seeing her so lively and animated.
Victoria saw he wasn't moving and reminded him, "Go ahead and bite."
There was a hint of anticipation in her eyes, thinking it would be a rare sight to see Alexander biting himself.
"Compared to biting myself, I'd rather bite you." Alexander's eyes gleamed with a mysterious light, and a wicked smile curled his lips.
Suddenly, he buried his head in her neck, and she felt a sharp pain.
Alexander didn't bite her but sucked hard on that spot, and soon her collarbone felt both pain and a tingling sensation.
"Still not letting go?" Alexander's thin lips whispered in her ear.
She kept her hands over her mouth, not letting go. She wasn't scared of him; she just couldn't get over herself. She had eaten a lot of strong-flavored food and hadn't rinsed her mouth.
"Did you eat something behind my back?" Alexander bluntly called her out. "Bleeding gums is just an excuse, afraid I'll be grossed out?"
Victoria was stunned for a few seconds but refused to admit it, shaking her head. "Nope."
Alexander smiled, "Then let go, I won't mind at all. What's the big deal?"
Victoria replied, "No way, unless you get up and stop pinning me down."
Alexander lifted his head and looked her in the eye. He knew her too well; she was stubborn as a mule. Once she made up her mind, she wouldn't budge. She might even outlast him, so he gave in first.
After a moment, he got up and sat beside her, not moving, but his intense gaze stayed locked on her.
Victoria immediately felt relieved. She freed one hand, propped herself up on the couch, and scooted away from him.
Alexander watched her cautious demeanor, feeling both amused and exasperated.
"I'm going back to my room," she said, still covering her mouth.
She quickly walked to the stairs, but just as she stepped on the first step, she heard a painful groan from behind.
She stopped and turned around, confused. She saw Alexander, who had been sitting straight on the couch, now hunched over, his body forming a U-shape, his head buried between his legs, and one hand clutching his stomach.
What exactly happened?
Her heart tightened, and she walked back, puzzled. Just as she got close, before she could ask, her wrist was grabbed, and she was yanked back into Alexander's arms, then pushed down onto the couch.
At that moment, she realized she had been tricked. But this time, Alexander had learned his lesson, pinning her hands above her head with his large hand.
Victoria shouted, "You tricked me!"
Alexander didn't say a word, but it was obvious.
Her hands were immobilized, but she still had her legs. But just as that thought crossed her mind, Alexander's leg was already pressing down on hers, rendering her immobile.
She felt completely helpless, only able to squirm. She could take down a man weighing around 400 pounds, but she couldn't budge Alexander. He was way stronger than she ever imagined.
"Let me go, let's have a fight. If you win, you can kiss me all you want," Victoria suggested.
Alexander laughed. "No need to fight, I have the right to kiss you anyway." Then, he raised an eyebrow. "And we can 'fight' in another way."
The last word was said with a suggestive tone.
In the end, Alexander still managed to kiss her. But the next second, his brows furrowed slightly, and he understood why she had been resisting. The bleeding gums were just an excuse.
Actually, he had known when she came in. But because it was her, he could accept it. And the same now.
Victoria closed her eyes, thinking he would get up immediately, but he only kissed her more passionately. His lips moved from her lips to her ear, whispering, "From now on, don't secretly eat junk food behind my back. If I catch you, I'll punish you my way."
She felt a tingling sensation in her ear. So he knew everything. Before she could figure out what his way was, he had already shown her with his actions.
Suddenly, she felt a chill, realizing her clothes had been undone. She snapped back to reality and reminded him, "This is the living room."
Alexander didn't care, his eyes now filled with desire, staring at her. "Tonight, let's try a different place."
"Don't worry, no one will come," he added.
Just as she was about to speak, her lips were sealed, and her words of refusal were silenced. She was completely at his mercy, unable to resist, only able to follow his lead. Everything felt instinctive and seamless.
Meanwhile, Owen was so angry with Lila that he was almost at his wit's end.
"What do you want?" Owen demanded, his voice filled with frustration.
