Chapter 62 Alexander's Maintenance

6 PM.

In the lobby of Vertex Holdings Group, a crowd gathered, curious about Alexander's wife. Little did they know, he had already taken her through the underground garage.

The next day, on Halloween.

After breakfast, Victoria and Alexander headed to Harmonious Convalesce Court to pick up Thalia and take her to Howard Villa. Since the extended family was coming over in the evening and Thalia disliked crowds, they decided to bring her just for lunch.

Victoria didn't expect to see Simon, Elodie, and Clara waiting at the entrance.

Cars weren't allowed inside Harmonious Convalesce Court, so they parked outside.

As soon as she got out, she saw Simon, Elodie, Clara, and Lucas by the security booth.

She frowned, not wanting them to run into Alexander, but it was too late. Clara had already spotted her and was walking over.

Alexander got out of the car too.

Seeing her standing still, Alexander followed her gaze, glanced indifferently, and walked over to hold her hand.

Victoria felt warmth in her palm, looked up at Alexander, and her eyes sparkled with a gentle smile.

As Clara and Lucas approached, they realized the man next to Victoria was the same one they had seen outside Starlight Diner.

Seeing Alexander up close, they were both surprised.

Alexander, in a custom suit, had a tall, imposing figure with sharp features, like a masterpiece sculpted by God. His deep, eagle-like eyes exuded power.

Lucas was shocked, as were Simon and Elodie. When did Victoria get such a powerful man by her side?

Clara, on the other hand, was jealous. How could Victoria have such a perfect man? Last time, she had only seen Alexander from a distance and thought he was handsome. Up close, he was flawless, with a charming face.

Noble, mysterious, elegant, mature, and incredibly attractive, his blue suit gave him an aristocratic feel.

For a moment, she even forgot Lucas was by her side.

Victoria shot Clara a cold look and said icily, "What, you're about to marry Lucas, and you still have your eyes on my boyfriend?"

Alexander liked hearing her call him "my boyfriend."

Lucas, hearing this, glanced subtly at Clara, who was holding his arm.

Clara, startled, said innocently, "I didn't. Are you still mad at me for being with Lucas? I just looked a bit longer because I was worried you might get mixed up with the wrong guy."

Victoria gave her a cold look and sneered, "So, should I thank you?"

Clara was about to say something, but Lucas spoke up first, defending her, "Victoria, Clara is genuinely concerned about you. Can you stop being so hostile?"

Alexander's eyes narrowed slightly, glancing at Lucas.

Lucas quickly sensed Alexander's anger.

Victoria felt it too and gently patted his hand, signaling him to calm down. Sure enough, Alexander's cold aura eased.

"Hostile? Not really, just unhappy," Victoria said, her expression icy.

Lucas felt a pang of jealousy watching their interaction. She seemed thinner than the last time he saw her. He always knew Victoria was beautiful.

"Victoria, even though I love your sister, I don't want you dating just anyone out of spite," Lucas said, sounding like a strict parent.

Victoria looked at him, amused. "Spite you? Are you worth it?"

Lucas fell silent.

"Victoria, I..." Clara started, but Victoria's cold glare shut her up. Clara was genuinely frightened by her.

"Let's go pick up Grandma Davis and head home," Alexander said, ignoring the others and looking at Victoria with a gentle expression.

Alexander's deep, magnetic voice caught Clara's attention. She thought it was the best male voice she had ever heard. Lucas, on the other hand, found it familiar but couldn't place it.

Victoria had just said "Okay" when Simon angrily interrupted, "Why did you stop us from taking Grandma Davis home yesterday?" He didn't care who was around.

Alexander's eyes turned cold, and he glared at Simon, making him shiver and fall silent.

"My girlfriend can do whatever she wants; she doesn't need to explain to you!" Alexander said, his tone cold and slightly angry.

Simon was speechless.

Alexander's powerful aura made everyone feel uneasy, even if they didn't know who he was. Without giving them a chance to respond, Alexander held Victoria's hand and walked towards the entrance of Harmonious Convalesce Court.

Seeing them approach, Frank let them in without question, leaving Simon and the others frustrated.

Watching them walk away, Clara wondered aloud, "Is Victoria planning to marry this man? She brought him to see Grandma Davis, and I heard him say they're taking her home. Are they living together?"

This made everyone think deeply.

After a while, they saw Victoria walking out, supporting Thalia.

Simon immediately called out, "Mom."

Thalia looked over but said nothing, feeling only disappointment towards Simon.

Elodie followed closely and called, "Mom."

Clara was about to speak, but Thalia's words stopped her cold.
