Chapter 401 I'm Here to Give a 'Gift'
"What are you doing here?" Elodie turned red with anger the moment she saw Victoria, her tone unfriendly.
Victoria merely glanced at her indifferently.
Her disregard and the disdain in her eyes made Elodie feel humiliated and furious.
Elodie even thought about how her only daughter was currently serving a prison sentence because of Victoria, and her hatred for Victoria became even more undisguised.
You shameless little bitch! You ruined my Clara, and you still have the nerve to come here! I will fight you to the end!" she shouted at Victoria, her emotions agitated.
"You bitch! How dare you push me." Elodie, who intended to rush up and push Victoria, was deftly dodged by Victoria and ended up falling uncontrollably.
Victoria remained silent.
Virgil cut in, "If you want to frame Victoria, at least come up with a better reason, okay? Who pushed you? Clearly, you fell on your own." Virgil pointed to a few people nearby. "There are so many people here, and they all saw it."
The servants remained silent.
Victoria glanced at Elodie, who had fallen to the ground, her red lips slightly parted, her voice cold and sharp. "The one who ruined her was not me, but you!"
Elodie's pupils contracted as she listened to her words, her face looking extremely unpleasant.
After speaking, Victoria walked towards the Kennedy Mansion's hall.
Simon was not home, but Oliver was. He heard the commotion outside and asked the butler, "What's going on out there?"
Before the butler could answer, Victoria appeared.
He was taken aback.
Considering her current status, he couldn't speak harshly to her.
"What brings you here?" Oliver asked.
Victoria smiled faintly and sat down in the empty seat in front of him.
Her free-spirited and rebellious demeanor was something Oliver had long been accustomed to.
"Of course, I'm here to settle scores, but also to bring a 'gift'." Her tone was calm and unhurried, but it carried an unusual chill that made Oliver uneasy.
Oliver's face had become noticeably more weathered, with the signs of aging becoming more apparent. It seemed like he had aged several years in just the short time since she last saw him.
But that had nothing to do with her.
To be honest, she had never received any affection from Oliver.
Listening to her words, Oliver frowned, a sense of foreboding rising in his heart.
"Victoria, after all, I am your grandfather. You can see the current state of the Kennedy family. Do you really want to see the Kennedy family disappear from Ridgewood before you're satisfied?" he said.
She didn't immediately respond to his words but remained silent for a moment before slowly saying, "If, in the past decade or so, you had genuinely treated me as a member of the Kennedy family, at least not so biased, then perhaps I would still consider you as family."
Oliver frowned, not knowing what to think.
Could it be that she already knew the truth?
Had Esme already told her?
Victoria's next words confirmed his suspicions.
"In the past, I refrained from being ruthless because I was a biological child of the Kennedy family. But now, I have no such burden." She said.
Oliver's expression changed dramatically.
"I've never wronged you, yet you've mistreated me," she said slowly, her tone shifting as her gaze turned icy. "You shouldn't have repaid kindness with betrayal. If it weren't for my mother, the Kennedy family would never have entered high society. But your greed led you to poison her."
Oliver opened his mouth but didn't know what to say. She indeed knew everything.
"Since you value power and interests so much, I have no choice but to destroy them." She said with a sinister cold smile.
"No! What are you planning to do?" Hearing her words, Oliver suddenly stood up from his chair, his face turning red with agitation and anger.
"Your mother is not dead, and she has already taken back her share from the Kennedy Group. The Kennedy Group is already in crisis because of her. What more do you want?" he added.
She coldly replied, "So what?"
Oliver was in a panic, fear gripping him suddenly.
Victoria raised her hand, signaling Virgil to bring out the items.
Virgil was quite adept at handling this.
He threw the file folder they had brought onto the table in front of them.
Victoria's voice followed, "You might want to take a look at what this is."
Oliver had the butler bring it over.
When he saw the contents of the file, his face was filled with shock and disbelief.
Victoria also thought Oliver was quite foolish. He didn't even know that Simon had an illegitimate child outside, and that this illegitimate child was being raised under Elodie's brother's name.
Oliver didn't want to believe it was true, but the evidence was right in front of him.
For a moment, he couldn't stand, collapsing back into his chair in a daze.
The butler, watching this scene in confusion, was also shocked when he saw the contents of the papers.
""If this news gets out, will the Kennedy family still maintain any dignity in Ridgewood?" she said with a faint, sarcastic smile. "Do you think someone like Lorenzo would let Simon off the hook? Simon slept with Lorenzo's woman, and Lorenzo has been raising your child for over a decade."
She was certain that if the Smith family found out about this, they wouldn't let it go.
"What are you talking about?" Suddenly, Elodie's sharp voice echoed in the living room.
She had just come in and heard something she couldn't even imagine.
She approached Victoria and demanded, "Victoria, explain yourself. What do you mean Lorenzo has been raising the Kennedy family's child for over a decade?"
Victoria slightly raised her head, her eyes coldly gazing at her.
Victoria didn't explain, she simply said, "Exactly what you think it means!"
Elodie's mind was reeling.
How could Lorenzo's son be the Kennedy family's child? It was impossible!
Lorenzo's son was only in his teens. If it were true, it meant Simon had been having an affair with Kaitlyn behind her back for over a decade.
Suddenly, she remembered that over the years, there had always been a significant expense every year, but she could never find out where it went.
It turned out it was for raising a son and a mistress.
Victoria watched her in her dazed state, raising an eyebrow and coldly saying, "Otherwise, why do you think Simon refused to save your daughter despite your repeated pleas?"
The implication was clear: he had a son, so her daughter was of no use to him anymore, and her daughter's life or death was irrelevant to him.
Elodie shook her head in disbelief. She turned to Oliver and demanded, "Dad, tell me this isn't true."
Her husband and her brother's wife had been having an affair behind her back, and they had a son together.
And she knew nothing about it. Wasn't this the most ironic and ridiculous thing?
Oliver's face darkened.
Elodie saw the documents in his hand and snatched them away.
After reading them, she started laughing hysterically, almost in a state of madness.
"This is too ridiculous!" She laughed wildly, sweeping her gaze around the living room. "You Kennedy family members truly are all despicable!"
At this moment, Simon at the Kennedy Group had no idea what he was about to face.
