Chapter 402 Her Plan
"Mr. Simon Kennedy, the IRS agents are here." The secretary walked in hurriedly without even knocking on the door.
Simon hadn't even had time to react when he saw several uniformed individuals with serious expressions walking in.
"Mr. Simon Kennedy, we have received information that your company is involved in tax evasion. Please come with us to cooperate with the investigation," one of the agents said.
Simon was slightly stunned but eventually left the company with them.
This news quickly reached the Kennedy family.
The butler answered the call, his face instantly turning grave. "Mr. Oliver Kennedy, Mr. Simon Kennedy has been taken away by IRS agents," he said, bracing himself.
Upon hearing this, Oliver immediately looked in Victoria's direction. "Was this your doing?"
Victoria did not deny it, her eyes filled with a cold smile. "I didn't do anything, just made a report call."
"Tax evasion can lead to imprisonment. You should blame your once-beloved granddaughter for this; she did it all," she added.
"You're talking nonsense! How could my Clara do such a thing?" Elodie immediately retorted upon hearing this.
Victoria ignored her and stood up, looking at Oliver. "This is all your own doing. If you are innocent, nothing will happen, but if you have broken the law, someone will handle it impartially."
With that, she turned and left briskly.
Her goal had been achieved.
She wanted to bring the Kennedy family to ruin, ensuring they would never rise again.
But she wouldn't do it herself; someone else would take action.
Karma had caught up with them.
Half an hour after she left the Kennedy Mansion, an ambulance arrived at the Kennedy Mansion.
The next day, major news outlets reported on the Kennedy Group's tax evasion, with even the official website confirming it.
Simon's assets were frozen overnight.
The Kennedy Group was involved in tax evasion amounting to over five hundred million dollars, and with the penalties, it was beyond what the Kennedy Group could bear.
Moreover, the Kennedy Group had long been an empty shell, with its capital chain already broken, so the Kennedy family couldn't come up with the money to pay the back taxes.
In the end, Oliver, lying in the hospital, had no choice but to file for bankruptcy for the Kennedy Group.
As the person in charge of the company, Simon also had to bear the responsibility and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
Clara, still waiting in prison for someone to rescue her, was unaware of what had happened outside.
Wind Sleep Villa.
"Ms. Penrose, I had Leroy investigate, and it was Ms. Kennedy who did this to the Kennedy family," Nicholas said.
Esme acknowledged with a sound.
There were six days left until next Wednesday.
Then Nicholas added, "Ms. Kennedy has booked a flight for next Monday."
"On that day, stop her from leaving Rihegde," she said.
"I've already had Leroy prepare for it," Nicholas said. "Shall we depart for Country M tonight?"
Little did they know, their conversation was overheard by someone.
Victoria didn't go anywhere today; she stayed at Serenity Grove Manor.
Around three in the afternoon, she received a call from Thomas.
"Vicky, what time should I pick you up?" Thomas asked.
Victoria thought for a moment. "Seven o'clock."
Then Thomas asked, "Are you just going to leave without saying anything to Alexander? If he finds out I took you away, I won't be able to handle his retaliation."
Victoria chuckled. "Didn't you say before that you weren't afraid of him?"
Thomas fell silent.
Could she not bring up the past?
He stubbornly said, "That was me being kind, not wanting to argue with him. If I had to deal with him, I'd end up facing your wrath."
He understood now that Vicky wasn't the same anymore; she would protect another man now.
After hanging up on Thomas, she called Nancy to arrange some matters.
Soon after, Alexander called her.
She hadn't intended to leave secretly without telling him.
He knew she was going to Aidamore, just not her exact plans.
Alexander quickly answered the call, and she shared part of her plan with him, including why she had to leave Rihegde early tonight.
As she expected, Alexander supported her as always.
He had a meeting tonight and wouldn't be back before seven.
He asked, "Do you need me to see you off?"
She replied, "No, you're too conspicuous."
He didn't get upset. "Alright, let me know when you arrive."
"Okay."
They chatted a bit more about everyday things before hanging up.
Thomas arrived to pick her up right on time.
As soon as Victoria left Serenity Grove Manor, Alexander received the information.
Dylan said, "Mr. Howard, Mrs. Howard has left."
Alexander acknowledged with a sound and slowly lifted his head.
"Where's the invitation Mr. Sanders sent?" Alexander put down the pen in his hand and asked.
"Here it is." Dylan had just brought it in, took it out of the folder, and handed it over, "Are you planning to go?"
Alexander looked at the invitation in his hand, squinting slightly, "Yes!"
Dylan was a bit surprised. It was just an engagement party, and it was a long journey. When did Alexander ever have such a good mood?
Suddenly, he thought of Victoria leaving Rihegde today. Could it be that Victoria was going too?
If that was the reason, he was more than willing to believe it.
"Make arrangements. We'll leave the day after tomorrow. You and Quentin stay at the company to assist Landon, and have Marcus and Kimberly come with me," Alexander said.
Dylan replied, "Yes, I'll go prepare right away."
Airport.
Victoria and Thomas took the private jet passage.
On the other side, in the VIP passage, were Esme and Nicholas.
"Did I just see things?" Nicholas had just seen a familiar figure, but before he could get a clear look, the person had already gone inside.
"What's wrong?" Esme asked, seeing him suddenly standing still.
"Nothing."
After all, if Victoria had really appeared here, he would have received the information.
He had people stationed near Serenity Grove Manor.
But he didn't know that Victoria had changed her appearance when she left.
On the private jet.
Thomas was staring at Victoria's outfit. He had wanted to ask since he picked her up. "Why are you dressed as a man?"
If she wanted to dress up, fine, but he had to admit she looked pretty good, even though her frame was small, it didn't affect her aura.
Then he curiously reached out to tug at her hair.
"Where's your long hair?" he asked, "You didn't cut it, did you?"
Victoria took off her sunglasses and remained silent. "Thomas, there's something in this world called a wig."
Thomas fell silent. "I didn't think of that."
She dressed as a man today to avoid Nicholas's people.
At this moment, Betty came over. "Mr. Taylor, Ms. Kennedy, everything is ready; we can take off anytime."
Victoria replied, "Wait, someone else hasn't arrived yet."
