Chapter 381 There's Nothing She Can't Do

Victoria saw Grant's expression and knew he had no idea that Marlowe and Abigail's files had been swapped.

"Beat me, and I'll tell you," she said, shrugging.

The people outside watched the two facing each other, unsure of what they were talking about.

"Grant and Victoria aren't going to fight, are they?" Caleb muttered, "They've been whispering in there for a while, and it doesn't look like a pleasant conversation. Grant furrowed his brow, the lines on his forehead deepening like cracks in dry earth."

Garrett smacked the back of Caleb's head. "Talking about Victoria? If Alexander hears, he'll beat you up first."

Then, they saw Victoria pick up an M-style pistol and skillfully twirl it in her hand.

"Grant, for the first round, let's see who can fire all sixty rounds without missing the target. How about it?" She smirked.

"Alright," Grant agreed without hesitation.

Caleb watched from outside, then turned to Alexander and said, "Alexander, why do I feel like Victoria looks a bit excited?"

Alexander didn't respond, but he did think Caleb had a point.

Victoria did seem a bit excited when she touched the gun. Although she tried to suppress it, her expression changed the moment she held the gun.

She seemed to really like guns.

Caleb was dumbfounded when he saw the moving targets, "Are these two playing for real?" Then he complained, "Grant should at least give Victoria a break."

"Also, Victoria's grip on the gun doesn't look like a beginner's. She seems quite experienced," he muttered in confusion.

The information about their hits was updated in real-time on a big screen, visible to everyone outside.

From the current situation, Garrett didn't think Victoria needed any concessions from Grant.

Their shooting frequency was almost identical, and neither had missed a target so far.

"What are Victoria and Grant competing in this round?" Lila, the only one outside who knew nothing about shooting, asked sincerely.

She wasn't interested in these activities, so she didn't know much about them.

She had never been to a shooting range, or any club for that matter.

Owen briefly explained it to her.

Lila suddenly understood. "Got it. I think my Victoria will definitely win."

Owen chuckled. "Don't forget, the other one is your uncle."

Lila was indifferent. "An uncle is just an uncle, and he can't do anything for me. But friends are different; friends are everything. Of course, I'm rooting for my Victoria."

Owen was sure that if she had to choose between him and Victoria, she'd pick Victoria without a second thought.

Two and a half minutes passed.

The two inside holstered their guns simultaneously.

They almost simultaneously looked at each other.

Victoria's lips curled slightly. "You really didn't hold back at all."

Grant chuckled. "You've made me see you in a new light."

He had initially thought of going easy on her, not wanting to bully a woman as a professional.

But by her third shot, he realized she knew her way around a gun.

And not just a little; she wasn't just playing around.

The events that followed proved his suspicion right: her shooting skills were every bit as good as his!

First round: a tie.

"Victoria, what's the second round?" Grant asked.

Victoria smiled, "Rifles. Ten shots each, and highest accuracy wins."

"Alright!"

"This round is a tie. Are Grant and Victoria going to switch to another event?"

Caleb's words had just fallen when he saw the two inside simultaneously pick up rifles.

Gunshots rang out simultaneously.

A minute later, the shots ceased simultaneously.

A staff member outside reported the results. "Target one, nine bullseyes, one nine-ring; target two, ten bullseyes, no misses."

Caleb exclaimed again, "Grant actually lost!"

Garrett and Owen gained a new appreciation for Victoria's shooting skills. She actually beat Grant?

What kind of woman was Victoria?

It seemed there was nothing she couldn't do!

Although they weren't using real guns, her posture and shooting technique far exceeded the level of an ordinary player.

To tie with Grant, who was known for his sharpshooting skills, and then win a round, she was no ordinary player.

Victoria shrugged at the somewhat displeased Grant. "Grant, I won."

She was also reminding Grant not to forget his promise.

Grant hadn't expected to be outplayed in the end.

He had bet the Scott Group's shares to show sincerity, but he hadn't thought he would lose, considering Victoria was just a woman. But her abilities had exceeded his expectations.

So, he had underestimated her.

"Alright, I'll keep my promise. I'll have Kevin handle the transfer of the Scott Group's shares to you." Grant didn't know what to feel at the moment. He didn't care about the Scott Group's shares; he mainly wanted information about Marlowe.

But Victoria said, "Grant, no need. I don't need the Scott Group's shares."

Grant squinted at her in confusion.

She casually gave a reason. "I just stepped down as CEO of Horizon Group. I don't want to manage another company."

However, this was also one of her genuine thoughts.

After all, if Grant gave her fifty percent of the Scott Group's shares and then left her to manage it, she would be at a huge loss.

"Then what do you want?"

The people outside pushed the door open just in time to hear Grant's question.

Victoria pondered for a moment and then suddenly said, "Actually, I can tell you Marlowe's location, but..."
