Chapter 99 Repaying the Debt of Birth

"It's you?" Simon blurted out, recognizing Alexander's familiar face.

This was the same Alexander who had been with Victoria at the sanatorium. What was he doing here?

Victoria was just as surprised to see Alexander approaching. Why was he here?

"Are you hurt?" Alexander asked, concerned.

Victoria shook her head. "They didn't even touch me."

Dylan and the others behind her smirked at Victoria's confident tone. Typical of Alexander's wife—proud and fierce.

They glanced at the people on the ground, groaning but not bleeding, and thought they were lucky.

Clara, seeing the handsome Alexander again, felt a pang of jealousy as he gently tended to Victoria.

Oliver noticed Alexander's commanding presence. This guy wasn't ordinary; he had an aura that demanded respect and even fear. The people with him looked like business elites.

Who was this guy?

Oliver asked, "Who are you, and why did you barge into my house?"

Alexander slowly looked up at him. His tall, imposing figure, sharp eyes, and defined features gave off a cold, noble vibe that made Oliver uneasy.

With a slight smirk, Alexander's deep, chilling voice said, "The Kennedy family means nothing to me. Today, I'll let this slide as a favor for my wife's childbirth. But if anyone targets her again,I'll wipe the Kennedys off Stellaria!"

Oliver and Simon's eyes widened in shock. He wasn't just threatening Ridgewood; he was talking about all of Stellaria. And he didn't seem to be joking. Who was this guy?

Elodie, slightly shocked, scoffed, "Who do you think you are, claiming you can make the Kennedy family disappear from Stellaria? Do you even have that kind of power? The Kennedy family might not be top-tier, but we're still influential in Ridgewood! And we're in-laws with the Tudor family, a branch of one of the top five elite families. What do you have to compete with us? Ridiculous! If you're going to boast, at least know your limits."

Dylan and the others looked at Elodie like she was clueless. She had no idea who Alexander was. He was the head of the Howard family, the most powerful of the top five elite families!

Who was really being ridiculous here? But they weren't about to enlighten her.

Elodie's words echoed what Oliver and Simon were thinking.

Alexander, unfazed, replied, "Whether I have the ability, you'll find out if you try. If you're willing to take the risk, I, Alexander Howard, am happy to oblige." He smiled, but it was a chilling smile.

Clara, seeing Alexander for the third time, found him even more attractive. His noble and mature aura was captivating, unlike anything she'd seen in Lucas.

Oliver's mind raced. Could Alexander be from the Howard family, one of the top five elite families? He looked at Alexander in shock but quickly dismissed the idea. How could Victoria know someone from the Howard family? It seemed impossible.

Alexander didn't reveal his identity. He took Victoria's hand and left.

Once they were gone, the room felt a bit warmer. Despite Alexander's bold words, no one could deny his strong presence.

"Grandpa, I just heard that man call Victoria his wife. Is she married?" Clara suddenly asked.

Oliver and the others finally reacted, their expressions changing.

Elodie sneered, "This ungrateful person, not helping is one thing, but teaming up with outsiders to threaten her own family."

Oliver still had doubts. Was Alexander really from the Howard family? If he dared to use the Howard name, he might be a branch member. If so, they couldn't afford to provoke him.

He glanced coldly at the people still lying on the ground and barked, "Get them to the hospital and clean up this mess!"
