Chapter 477 Victoria is Taken Away

Griffin had no idea Alexander was already tracking his movements.

When he returned to the Presidential Palace, Casey seemed somewhat surprised to see him.

In truth, Griffin had been adopted by Anouk, not brought in by Zephyr himself, which explained why Griffin was closer to Anouk.

After Anouk's scandal broke, she was promptly collected by the Montgomery family that very evening. Zephyr had instructed Griffin to have her belongings cleared out quickly.

Recognizing Casey's position in the Presidential Palace, Griffin approached him respectfully. "Casey, is my father in?"

Casey offered a slight smile. "Mr. Griffin Windsor, Mr. Zephyr Windsor has gone out."

"I see. Would you please notify me when my dad returns?" Griffin asked.

After Casey acknowledged this, Griffin turned to leave, notably without inquiring about Anouk.

As soon as he reached the side building, Waverly was waiting for him. Upon seeing him, her eyes immediately welled with tears. "Griffin, you're finally back. Mom... she..." Her voice trailed off, her teary eyes making her appear quite vulnerable.

Griffin patted her back reassuringly. "It's alright, I know everything. I'll speak with Dad."

Waverly bit her lip anxiously. "Will Dad allow Mom to return?"

He frowned slightly before forcing a faint smile. "Don't worry about that."

Waverly lowered her head in response. Deep down, they both knew the answer.

News of Griffin's return quickly reached Zephyr.

Meanwhile, at the Montgomery estate, the atmosphere was unbearably tense. The family had always taken pride in Anouk. Though she hadn't produced an heir for the Windsor family, she still held the prestigious title of Mrs. Windsor—a source of great status for the Montgomerys.

Now that reputation was in tatters. Anouk's affair had become headline news, affecting everyone associated with the Montgomery name.

"I must say, Anouk, at your age, how could you commit such a disgraceful act?" said Primrose Wells, wife of the current Montgomery patriarch.

Infidelity was shameful regardless of who committed it. For someone of Anouk's standing as Mrs. Windsor, this was a stain she could never erase. Given the Windsor family's strict principles—and Zephyr's existing dislike of her—reconciliation seemed impossible.

Anouk remained silent through the criticism. The scandal had unfolded so rapidly that she hadn't had time to think clearly. Now that she could reflect, she realized she'd overlooked crucial details.

From what Jasmine had said, she had known about Anouk's affair with Allan for some time. Why wait until that particular day to expose it? This was clearly a calculated plan.

But orchestrated by whom? Zephyr? Or someone else?

Whoever it was, Anouk was determined to make them suffer as she had.

That evening, Griffin visited Anouk. She was counting on him to help restore her position, having treated him like her own son and brought him into the Windsor family—without her, he might still be destitute.

"Griffin, you must help me," she pleaded tearfully. "I cannot divorce your father."

Griffin looked troubled. "Mom, Dad refuses to see me. How can I possibly help you?"

His eyes held a coldness that Anouk failed to notice. Griffin was only maintaining contact with her because he still needed the Montgomery family's influence. He had previously warned her to end the affair with Allan, but she hadn't listened.

Anouk frantically suggested, "Speak to Waverly. She listens to you, and your father adores her. If she pleads my case, he might forgive me."

Griffin narrowed his eyes. "Mom, that won't work. Do you really think Dad would listen to an adopted daughter over his biological daughter?"

His words exploded in Anouk's mind like a bomb. "What did you just say?" she asked, eyes wide with confusion. "What biological daughter? Whose?"

Her voice trembled as she spoke.

After Griffin revealed a name, Anouk's face registered shock and disbelief. "Impossible!" she exclaimed.

Griffin explained calmly, "The DNA report you received was fake. The real report was switched by her people, and Father received the authentic one."

Hearing this, Anouk's expression turned to utter disbelief before she broke into near-maniacal laughter filled with hatred.

Griffin watched her silently.

"And that night's events were orchestrated by her and Jasmine," he added coolly. "Well, not exactly a collaboration—she merely gave Jasmine a push from behind the scenes."

Anouk's laughter stopped abruptly, her face contorting with even greater hatred.

So that was it. She never imagined that Esme had actually given birth to the child all those years ago, and now, by some twisted coincidence, that child had found her way back.

"Griffin, do me a favor," she suddenly said, her eyes burning with intense hatred.

Griffin didn't need to ask what she wanted—it aligned perfectly with his own interests.

Meanwhile, Victoria received a call from Cedric. Miguel had escaped, which was concerning. Given that Miguel was dangerous and Victoria had previous conflicts with Organization 103, Cedric feared Miguel might target her.

His concerns proved justified two days later. That morning, after Victoria met with someone, all contact with her was lost. Winter and Kimberly, who had accompanied her, also disappeared.

Alexander sat in his car, his face dark with anger. Marcus could feel the dangerous aura emanating from him but forced himself to report, "Mr. Howard, Mrs. Howard and the others' tracking devices are all offline."

Even the special tracking systems in Victoria and Winter's possession weren't working. Thomas and Eugene had tried repeatedly to locate them without success.

This could only mean one thing: Victoria's abduction was premeditated, and the kidnappers knew about the special tracking devices she and Winter carried.

"Find them," Alexander ordered. "Whatever it takes."

At that moment, Victoria, Winter, and Kimberly had been brought to a secluded villa.

A burly security guard gestured to Victoria. "Ms. Kennedy, please come in. My boss is waiting for you inside."

Victoria entered with a cold expression on her face.
