Chapter 416 What Will Happen If I Hit You?

Victoria didn't notice their conversation.

After all, she still believed in Alexander's abilities, and Thomas was no match for him.

It wasn't that she looked down on Thomas, but she knew both of them too well.

She also believed they would get along peacefully.

But how was she going to get away from Alexander to go to Sunset Town today?

It was a troubling issue.

She racked her brains but couldn't come up with a perfect solution.

If she asked him to go back to Aidamore, he definitely wouldn't go back alone.

And no matter what excuse she used, she couldn't fool him.

It was too difficult.

She sighed deeply.

Ignatius, who had been sitting next to her, noticed her sudden low spirits and asked worriedly, "Victoria, what's wrong?"

Victoria lowered her gaze and then turned to him. "I was thinking, what kind of girl would be worthy of a smart and talented handsome guy like you."

Ignatius listened intently and replied seriously, "Someone like you."

"But there's only one of me in this world."

Thomas, who had just walked over, heard this and offered a bad idea. "Ignatius, don't forget about cloning technology. Just clone Victoria, and there will be two of her."

Immediately, he was met with two sharp glares from the room's only couple.

Ignatius said, "Victoria is unique. Even if I cloned an exact copy of her, it wouldn't be the same."

Thomas cleared his throat. "Yes, you have a point."

Until four in the afternoon, Alexander showed no signs of leaving.

Meanwhile, Thomas kept urging her.

Thomas: [Vicky, have you sorted it out? Hurry up, stop dawdling.]

Thomas: [If it really doesn't work, just tell him directly or knock him out.]

Victoria looked at Thomas's messages, feeling more and more headache.

However, it seemed that knocking out Alexander was the only option left.

But she might not be able to bear the consequences afterward.

She bit her lip and looked at Alexander, who was seriously looking at the files on his computer.

"Dear," Victoria said.

"What's up?" He didn't even take his eyes off the computer and immediately responded to her.

"What would happen if I hit you?"

Alexander finally looked away from the computer and turned to her upon hearing this.

She looked into his deep eyes and, feeling a bit intimidated, found an excuse to cover up. "I'm just curious. What if one day you make me unhappy and I hit you?"

Alexander stared at her for a while before answering, "I'd never do anything to make you upset."

Victoria's heart instantly felt warm and sweet.

But he still didn't answer her question.

Alexander saw her frowning and, although he didn't know why she asked this question, he answered seriously, "I'm all yours. If hitting me makes you happy, then go ahead."

Victoria was silent.

Was he really this unconditionally devoted to her?

This seemed a bit too good to be true.

She couldn't bear to do it.

Just as she was struggling, Alexander's phone rang.

"What's up?" Alexander asked.

Victoria saw the caller ID was Gideon.

The next second, she saw Alexander's expression darken noticeably, and he frowned.

Although he tried hard to hide his emotions, she, sitting next to him, couldn't miss it.

She didn't know what was said on the other end.

Then she heard him say, "Got it, I'll be there."

After he hung up, she asked, "What's wrong?"

Alexander looked at her. "I have something to deal with, so I might not be able to go back to Aidamore with you. You go back first and wait for me."

Victoria asked, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Although she had her own matters to attend to, if she could help him, she would choose to help him first.

Alexander chuckled softly, habitually raising his hand to ruffle her hair. "There's a lot you can help me with. For now, just don't run around and wait for me to come back to you."

She felt guilty.

Not running around was something she couldn't manage.

But she still nodded obediently. She thought, 'I'll unconditionally agree to whatever Alexander asks me to do in the future.'

He didn't stay long; ten minutes later, he left with Marcus, but he left Kimberly behind.

"Kimberly, why didn't you go with them?" Victoria sat cross-legged on the sofa, looking at Kimberly standing in front of her, her eyes wide open.

She thought she had done something wrong and cautiously asked, "Mrs. Howard, did I do something wrong? Do you not want me to stay with you?"

Victoria immediately sensed her emotions. "Not really. The problem is with me, it's my fault."

Kimberly was confused by her words.

Victoria didn't explain but instead asked, "Kimberly, are you still my person?"

Kimberly answered without hesitation, "Mrs. Howard, I've always been your person."

Victoria slapped her thigh. "Good!"

She said, "Then from now on, you have to listen to everything I say."

Kimberly felt a sense of foreboding upon hearing this.

Then she heard Victoria say, "This time, you must not tell Alexander about my whereabouts, or else you won't have the chance to stay by my side anymore."

Kimberly tensed up at her somewhat serious words. "Understood, Mrs. Howard."

Actually, among Alexander's five main assistants, Kimberly was the one who stayed by Victoria's side the most.

She was also the most familiar with Victoria.

"Mrs. Howard, are you planning to change your route and not go back to Aidamore again?" she asked.

Victoria snapped her fingers. "Kimberly, you know me well."

Kimberly was slightly taken aback. "Then where are we going?"

Victoria replied, "Sunset Town."

At nine in the evening.

Victoria and her group of seven arrived at Sunset Town.

This Sunset Town wasn't a rundown little town; it looked quite bustling, with a strong and vibrant atmosphere.

It was already nine at night, yet there were still so many people outside.

Many people were setting up stalls by the roadside, selling various small gifts and all kinds of snacks.

"Mrs. Howard, although this place is a bit remote, it seems quite populated. Most of them should be locals," Marigold quietly introduced.

Sunset Town was a relatively old-fashioned town, mostly inhabited by locals. Outsiders who came here were usually attracted by the ancient buildings.

There were no skyscrapers here, almost all the houses were classical, with a strong sense of history.

Every street and alley was filled with a rich sense of life.

At this moment, a plainly dressed man appeared from somewhere and approached them.

The man respectfully called out to Thomas.

"Mr. Taylor, they've been staying in the guesthouse for several hours and haven't come out. Someone delivered food to their door in the meantime," the man immediately reported the situation.

Victoria and her group had prepared beforehand, dressing very plainly to avoid drawing attention.

But even so, their presence was impossible to hide.

They arrived at a guesthouse opposite the 103 organization's lodging, allowing them to see everything happening across the street.

"Are you sure they haven't gone out since they arrived?" Victoria glanced and then turned to ask the man.

The man replied, "Yes."

Victoria acknowledged and fell into deep thought.

"What's wrong, Vicky?" Thomas watched her frown and then relax repeatedly.

"I'm thinking about what they want to do," Victoria said. "What do they want in Sunset Town, or what are they planning to do here?"

The 103 organization always acted mysteriously and avoided crowded places.

But this time, they did the opposite, risking exposure to come to a place as lively as Sunset Town. There must be something going on.
