Chapter 349 The Deal Between Esme and the Kennedy Family
Esme fixed her gaze on Oliver and said directly, "I brought billions into the Kennedy family and helped establish your foothold in Ridgewood. What did you promise me?"
Oliver felt a sudden pang of guilt and remained silent.
Esme let out a cold laugh. "Since I had the ability to help the Kennedy family establish a foothold in Ridgewood back then, I naturally also have the ability to bring it down!"
Upon hearing this, Oliver immediately thought of the recent events happening to the Kennedy Group. "Was it you who acted against the Kennedy Group?"
"So what if it was?" Esme responded indifferently.
Clara had never truly interacted with Esme, only seen her in photos.

Esme didn't give Oliver a chance to speak and continued, "You allowed Elodie and Clara to tarnish her reputation, let Victoria fend for herself, and even allowed Clara," Esme glanced at Clara, "to plagiarize Victoria's work, frame Victoria, and even have her kidnapped and steal her fiancé."
Esme added, "You selfishly forced her to give up her Kennedy Group shares and even expected Victoria to hand over her Horizon Group shares to Clara. Where do you get off making such demands? The Kennedy Group was worthless back then. Without me, do you think the Kennedy family would be anybody in Ridgewood?"
Oliver and Simon both froze.
"Horizon Group was left for Victoria and has nothing to do with the Kennedy family. How dare you ask for shares? Since I left, have you ever treated Victoria sincerely? No, you only schemed for her shares."Back then, I chose the Kennedy family because I thought Simon was honest and sincere." Esme turned her gaze to the silent Simon. "I also sincerely made an exchange with the Kennedy family. You willingly agreed to take care of Victoria, but how did you treat her in the end?"
Then she looked sharply at Oliver. "Oliver, do you still think I can't take action against the Kennedy Group now?"
Every word Esme spoke was a reminder to Oliver and Simon of what they had done.

"So what do you want?" Oliver asked.
Esme chuckled. "I will take back what belongs to me. Whether the Kennedy Group survives or not is up to you!"
She paused for a moment and then continued, "As for the poison you administered to me, I'll leave that to the police to investigate."
Oliver, Simon, and Elodie turned pale, bewildered as to how she knew about this.
Esme sneered. "If you don't want people to know, don't do it."
Clara was still processing this bombshell. Victoria wasn't her father's child? Victoria had nothing to do with the Kennedy family?
Then everything in the Kennedy family would be hers, and no one could take it from her.
Moreover, Clara wasn't the illegitimate child; Victoria was. Victoria wasn't even a Kennedy.
But before she could fully relish this news, she heard Esme's words.
Everything in the Kennedy Group was given by the woman before her, Victoria's biological mother, and now she wanted to take it back, leaving the Kennedy Group an empty shell.

"No, you can't take over the Kennedy Group." In the silence of the living room, Clara stood up.
