Chapter 411 Victoria's Behavior Was Unexpected

"Ms. Kennedy, no one is following us." Winter glanced back nonchalantly and saw that no one was indeed following them.

In an instant, the two quickly slipped into a nearby corner.

They then entered the garage.

Winter said, "Ms. Kennedy, Mr. Taylor and Eugene are waiting for us outside."

The two got into the silver car.

At this moment, Russell's voice came through again, "Victoria, they will arrive in half an hour. Don't run into them."

Victoria replied in a calm voice, "Okay, got it."

On the other side, Anouk was preparing to go to the main building, but as soon as she reached the front door, she was stopped by Casey. "Mrs. Windsor, Mr. Windsor is entertaining guests."

Anouk knew exactly what he meant. Every time she came, she would be stopped.

"Casey, I know, so I specifically had someone prepare a late-night snack. Here it is." Anouk smiled, maintaining a gentle and elegant demeanor.

She was a debutante from the Montgomery family who married into the Presidential Palace to become the First Lady. However, since marrying Zephyr, she had received only his indifference, not the enviable love she longed for.

Casey was Zephyr's man and naturally understood the reason.

Moreover, Zephyr had given orders.

"Mrs. Windsor, Mr. Windsor does not have the habit of eating late-night snacks. Why don't you take it back." He glanced at her tactfully.

Anouk had become numb to such scenes countless times, but she was unwilling to give up. However, besides her unwillingness, she had no way to deal with Zephyr.

She asked, "Casey, can I ask who the guest is?"

"From Rihegde," Casey answered promptly but didn't reveal the identity.

Obviously, Anouk felt relieved when she heard the guest was from Rihegde.

On the other side, Victoria had already successfully left the Presidential Palace.

The guards were puzzled as it was so late, and she was going out with only a servant and no bodyguards.

"What if something happens?"

"Should we report to Mr. Windsor?"

The two looked at each other.

One of them said, "Let's inform Casey."

Then someone turned around to make a call.

After Victoria drove the silver car a certain distance from the Presidential Palace, she stopped and got into another black van.

The car then left Whispering Road, leaving the silver car conspicuously parked by the roadside.

Ten minutes later, the black van passed by a white car.

In the white car sat the real Waverly.

In the Kingdom of Serenia, no one had ever dared to steal her car, especially since she was from the Presidential Palace.

She had someone check the surveillance, but there was nothing; her car had vanished into thin air.

Realizing something was wrong, she called the Presidential Palace, but the line was busy, and no one could get through.

After a while, a maid beside her excitedly pointed to the car parked not far ahead. "Miss Windsor, isn't that your car?"

A flicker of darkness crossed Waverly's eyes. She squinted at the car that was originally parked in the Sky Mall underground garage, now appearing near the Presidential Palace.

This indicated that the car thief had been here.

"Bobby Owens, get out and check the car. If everything is fine, drive it back. We'll head back first!" She immediately ordered one of the bodyguards in a cold voice.

At this moment, Alexander, who was still at the Presidential Palace, did not know that Victoria had already left.

He thought that with her temperament, she would at least have tied up Waverly while impersonating her.

But he forgot that his wife's actions were always unpredictable.

So, when he saw the real Waverly appear, his brows instantly furrowed.

Waverly immediately went to the main building to find Zephyr upon her return.

Coincidentally, Zephyr and Alexander had just finished their discussion.

Waverly, wearing a white dress and high heels, hurriedly walked in.

Even Casey didn't have time to react. Didn't the guards just say she went out?

How come she came back so quickly and even changed her outfit?

"Dad, I'm so relieved you're okay. You scared me." She sighed in relief upon seeing Zephyr safe and sound.

Her words left Zephyr and Casey puzzled and confused.

"Wendy, what's going on?" Zephyr frowned at her outfit. "Didn't we see each other half an hour ago? And where were you planning to go in that dress?"

She had clearly changed her clothes.

Waverly recounted the incident of her car being stolen and everything that had happened today.

After hearing her story, Zephyr's face instantly darkened.

He said coldly, "Casey, go investigate!"

"Yes, Mr. Windsor." Casey responded, somewhat trembling.

This was terrifying. A stranger had intruded, and no one at the Presidential Palace had noticed.

What if it had been an assassination attempt?

Casey immediately turned and left.

Zephyr naturally had an intimidating presence, and now that he was angry, he looked even more severe.

"So, you're saying the person I saw earlier wasn't you?" His deep, inscrutable eyes fixed on Waverly. "Then who was she? She looked almost identical to you."

Waverly shook her head; she didn't know either.

The Presidential Palace's security system was the most comprehensive and highest standard, yet it had been rendered useless.

This made Zephyr more vigilant. Who was the woman standing in front of him tonight?

If she had intended to assassinate him, he might not be standing here unharmed.

Soon, Casey returned with the surveillance footage from the Presidential Palace.

The surveillance was not damaged and was functioning normally. The footage captured the fake Waverly, but she mostly appeared briefly, as if intentionally avoiding the cameras.

However, there was one segment that was abnormal. After the fake Waverly entered the main building, a few minutes of footage were overwritten and altered, and it did not show where she went.

The footage then cut to her suddenly appearing in the living room with a book, followed by the scene where she encountered Zephyr and Alexander.

Throughout the process, only her back and side profile were captured.

Zephyr then remembered the study.

He immediately got up and walked to the second floor.

A glance around the study showed no signs of disturbance.

He quickly checked two safes, frowning when he found nothing missing.

In fact, the safes didn't contain any confidential documents, as he usually didn't keep such documents at home.

But the photo album had clearly been tampered with.

He took it out and looked at it. Despite being over fifty, his face still showed traces of his former handsomeness, but his eyes were filled with emotions that others couldn't understand.

The Presidential Palace was destined to be restless tonight.

To prevent any accidents, the entire Presidential Palace underwent a thorough inspection tonight.

As for Alexander, he hadn't said a word from beginning to end.

Waverly had noticed him from the start but didn't approach him because her father was present.

She actually knew Alexander for a long time, but he might not recognize her.

"Mr. Howard, I didn't expect to see you at home today," she greeted Alexander warmly.

But Alexander didn't even look at her. She thought he would remember her.
