Chapter 46 The Arrogant Julia
Lila didn't want to argue with them and risk ruining her mood.
"Go ahead, darling. Don't mind them," Lily said.
Victoria had been watching quietly.
After Lila turned around, she quickly picked up a bride's ring and slipped it onto Victoria's left index finger.
Victoria was surprised by the sudden move.
The store clerk noticed the ring fit perfectly and her eyes lit up. It was a perfect match.
"It fits perfectly and looks great on you," Lila said, admiring Victoria's hand.
Victoria agreed but wasn't sure if the groom's ring would fit Alexander.
She suddenly wanted to see Alexander wearing it because his hands were so beautiful.
Julia, feeling ignored, spoke up sharply.
"Can you even afford it without a boyfriend?" Julia sneered.
Lila and Victoria ignored her completely.
Feeling humiliated, Julia asked the store clerk, "How much for this pair of rings? I'll buy them for my cousin Lucas and Clara."
Clara, standing beside her, gently advised, "Julia, Victoria saw them first. It's not right."
Julia ignored her and just wanted to oppose Victoria.
The store clerk said, "These rings are unique. Both people must fit perfectly to buy them."
Julia pulled Clara over. "Clara, try it on. You know Lucas's size, right?"
Clara looked at Victoria, embarrassed, and said, "Julia, this isn't right. Victoria's finger fits the ring too. Besides, Lucas and I already have engagement rings."
Julia insisted, "No, this is my wedding gift to you."
Lila, fed up with Clara's pretentiousness, said, "Fine, let her try."
Victoria took off the ring and put it back.
Julia pulled Clara over to try them on. Julia exclaimed, "Clara, it looks so good on you. I told you, everything suits Clara." She directed the last part at Lila and Victoria.
They ignored her and looked at other jewelry.
"Clara, check if this men's ring fits Lucas," Julia said loudly.
Clara picked it up, smiled, and said, "This is Lucas's size."
Julia, even louder, said, "Really? It's really Lucas's size? I told you, only you and Lucas are perfect for these rings. Someone should stop dreaming."
Lila and Victoria continued to ignore her.
Lila whispered to Victoria, "Do you think she'll buy it?"
Victoria replied calmly, "Given her level of intelligence, she will."
Lila just wanted to see how she'd buy it.
Julia arrogantly said, "Ring it up."
The store clerk asked, "Are you sure you want to buy it?"
Julia, thinking the clerk doubted her, responded arrogantly, "How dare you question me? My cousin Lucas is the CEO of Tudor Group, and this lady is his wife. Do you think I can't get your manager to fire you?"
The store clerk's face darkened but maintained professionalism. "Please wait while I prepare the invoice. Once issued, the purchase is non-refundable."
Julia, already arrogant, became more displeased.
Impatiently, she said, "Hurry up, or I'll have your manager fire you."
She threw her credit card at the clerk, arrogantly saying, "I have plenty of money, swipe it."
The store clerk, keeping her composure, took the card and headed to the register.
