Chapter 27 Victoria Refuses to Transfer Shares

Oliver brushed it off with a vague response, "No reason. You're a Kennedy, so of course you have to be there."

Victoria decided not to push it; they wouldn't tell the truth anyway.

"The second thing is, the shares of the Kennedy Group your mom left you should go back to the family, to your sister. She's the eldest daughter of the Kennedys," Oliver declared shamelessly.

Victoria sighed and let out a cold laugh.

Wesley, standing behind her, was speechless. What a solid reason.

Then, they heard Victoria casually retort, "The eldest daughter of the Kennedy family, huh?" She glanced at Clara, who had been silent, smiled slightly, and continued, "She's only twenty days older than me. I can just change my age."

Victoria's words left Oliver and the others stunned; they never expected her to say that.

Behind her, Wesley silently praised Victoria in his heart. Truly, she was clever.

The staff at the reception desk admired Victoria's unconventional thinking.

"Altering personal information is illegal, Victoria. Are you trying to ruin the Kennedy family's reputation?" Simon angrily rebuked.

Victoria nonchalantly replied, "I never said I was going to break the law. Don't slander me all the time; I'm timid!"

Simon was so angry that his hand trembled as he pointed at her, unable to say a word.

Looking at her overbearing demeanor, how could she be timid?

"What exactly do you want?" Oliver asked sternly, exuding a severe aura.

Hearing this, Victoria looked at Clara, who always wanted to reap the benefits, and said with a fake smile, "What? Clara didn't tell you?"

Then, Oliver and Simon turned their gaze to Clara.

Hearing Victoria mention her, Clara paused slightly, then looked at Oliver with elegance and composure, as if she wanted to say something but hesitated.

Oliver glanced at her and said kindly, "Clara, it's okay. Speak freely."

Oliver treated his two granddaughters completely differently. To those who didn't know, it would seem Victoria wasn't his biological granddaughter!

With Oliver's encouragement, Clara hesitated before speaking, "Grandpa Kennedy, she said yesterday..." She stopped halfway, looked at Victoria, as if understanding and defending Victoria, and then said, "Grandpa Kennedy, she didn't mean to say that about you. Please promise me you won't get angry."

Hearing this, Victoria narrowed her eyes at the hypocritical Clara. Here we go again.

Seeing Clara's vague response, Oliver demanded, "Speak. What did she say?"

"Grandpa, she said that after you die, she will return the shares," Clara immediately blurted out.

After she finished, the room fell silent for a few seconds. She lowered her gaze, a smug smile flashing in her eyes.

Suddenly, as Clara expected, Oliver was furious!

A roar echoed, "Victoria! You ungrateful person! How dare you say such a thing! I should have let you die abroad, saving us the trouble of you coming back to anger us."

Victoria ignored his roar, showing an indifferent attitude.

Oliver was so angry that his neck turned red and purple, but Victoria remained unfazed.

Seeing this, Clara immediately pretended to defend and protect Victoria, saying, "Grandpa Kennedy, don't be mad. She didn't mean it. After all, those shares were left by her mother. It's understandable that she's upset and doesn't want to give them up."

Wesley looked at Clara with disdain. She was quite good at sowing discord.

"I think she can't wait for me to die! Those are the Kennedy family's shares. She has to give them up even if she doesn't want to!" Oliver shouted again, not listening to any persuasion.

Victoria didn't want to waste any more time with them; they had already wasted her precious ten minutes.

"Are you done? Finished yelling?" she asked calmly, as if it had nothing to do with her.

It was as if she wasn't the person involved, just an outsider.

After a second, she spread her hands and smiled lightly, "If you still want to scold me, please continue. I'm providing the venue for free; no need to thank me! I won't be staying; I'm quite busy!"

Wesley truly admired Victoria. Her words were really infuriating.

As she took a step, Simon called out to her, "Wait!"

Victoria glanced at him coldly.

She said, "I will attend the exchange event! As for the shares my mother left me, no discussion!"

Simon was frustrated by Victoria's stubbornness, and his dislike for her only grew.

But Simon's next words refreshed Victoria's understanding of them!

She had seen shameless people before, but never to this extent.
