Chapter 50 I'll Give You Two Months

She went back to Howard Villa with him to meet his family and took him to meet her grandmother, Davis. She agreed to live together, which meant she accepted Alexander, but she had her own concerns.

She watched Alexander's handsome, silent face, worried he might be upset, and explained, "It's not that I don't want to acknowledge us, but I don't want to expose you to the Kennedy family."

If the Kennedy family found out she was the wife of the Howard family head, they'd go crazy trying to get benefits from Alexander. She didn't want to burden him with that or let the Kennedy family latch onto the Howards.

"Once I sort out my issues with the Kennedy family, we can go public, okay?" she asked softly.

"I'll give you two months."

Victoria was puzzled.

"If it's not resolved in two months, I'll make it public," Alexander said firmly, leaving no room for negotiation.

Victoria thought for a moment and reluctantly agreed, "Alright."

Two months should be enough, but she worried they wouldn't return what she'd been asking for years.

Then, she saw him take out a delicate silver chain.

Before she could ask, Alexander said, "Since it's inconvenient to wear it on your hand, wear it around your neck."

Victoria stayed silent.

Knowing she was in the wrong, she obediently put it on.

Monday arrived.

Horizon Group, top floor, CEO's office.

"My dear Mrs. Howard, you look radiant today. Cohabitation with Mr. Howard must be going well," Lila said with a mischievous smile, squinting at Victoria.

Victoria rolled her eyes, "Speak properly."

Lila chuckled, raised an eyebrow, and asked, "Aren't we good friends? Share how it feels. Is it true the first time is very painful? Is Alexander good in bed?"

Victoria stayed silent.

She cleared her throat and said coldly, "Lila, what nonsense are you asking?"

Lila squinted, a glint in her eyes, then focused on her neck, "No way? Alexander faces such a beautiful and sexy wife every night and hasn't done anything with you?" she asked in shock.

"Impossible. You're so beautiful and have such a great figure, and he can resist not having sex with you? Does he have a sexual dysfunction?" Lila questioned again.

Victoria sighed and rubbed her temples, "Don't guess wildly. It's my issue. He said as long as I don't agree, he won't initiate sex with me." She defended Alexander, knowing well from the past few days that he had no sexual dysfunction.

Lila was silent.

"What a perfect man Alexander is," Lila couldn't help but exclaim.

At this moment, she noticed a new necklace on Victoria's neck. She remembered Victoria didn't like wearing jewelry.

"Did Alexander give this to you?" she asked, pointing at her neck.

Victoria lowered her head and took it out.

Lila saw a ring hanging on the silver chain and asked, "He gave you a ring?"

"He said this ring is a token of our love, meant to be worn daily," Victoria recalled his words. What surprised her more was that he had designed the ring himself.

Lila examined it and said, "The design of this ring is quite unique."

Victoria's fingers caressed the ring, feeling very happy.

Lila casually asked, "Which designer made it?"

Victoria smiled and said, "Alexander is the designer."

Lila was stunned.

Victoria understood Lila's surprise; she was quite shocked herself. It seemed there was nothing he couldn't do.

"Is there anything he can't do?" Lila asked softly, still amazed.

The head of the Howard family, managing a global empire, could cook, design rings, and excel at everything. Such a perfect person probably didn't exist elsewhere in the world!

Victoria thought about Lila's question and replied, "I'm not sure what other skills he has yet."

Lila was very envious.

She leaned in to take a closer look at the ring and noticed a date, September 10th, and some symbols she didn't recognize engraved on it.

"That's not your birthday. Did Alexander engrave his birthday on it?" Lila asked, puzzled.

"No, his birthday is in March," Victoria replied.

"Then what is it?"

"The day we got married."

Lila was once again moved by Alexander's romantic gesture.

She shouldn't have asked.

"By the way, this Wednesday is Halloween. I have to go home tomorrow. My mom ordered me to return. You already have such a loving husband, so you probably don't need me. I won't be spending Halloween with you," Lila said.

Victoria replied simply, "Alright."

"Then have dinner with me tonight," Lila said with a playful smile.

"Tonight might not work," Victoria thought of what Alexander had told her before leaving this morning. "Alexander has a dinner with his friends tonight. Why don't you join us?" Victoria asked, looking at her.

Lila had never had dinner with Alexander before and felt both excited and scared, "Can I?" she asked cautiously.

Victoria, seeing her cautious demeanor, chuckled, "Of course. Aren't you usually quite bold?"

Lila sighed, "You don't understand, the aura of someone in power is not something I, an ordinary person, can resist. Besides, his good friends must also be people of high status."

Suddenly, Victoria remembered something she had forgotten to tell Lila, then said, "Actually, you might know one of Alexander's friends."

A few seconds later, Lila was dumbfounded.

With a look of extreme shock and incomprehension, she asked, "Are you saying my uncle Grant is friends with your husband?"

Oh my God, she had lived in vain for twenty-four years, not knowing they were such good friends in private.

There were five major families in Rihegde: the Howard family, the Scott family, the Garcia family, the Martinez family, and the Rodriguez family. For as long as she could remember, these families had never had any contact. She had never heard her parents mention it. It was rumored that the families did not interfere with each other and developed separately because they were involved in different fields.

Not only did she think so, but everyone in Stellaria thought so.

If these people knew each other, what would happen?

The entire Stellaria would be theirs, let alone a mere Rihegde.

"Lila, do you know your uncle Grant's wife well?" Victoria suddenly thought of Marlowe. That day, she was too quiet, and there was a strong sense of inferiority about her, but her intuition told her she shouldn't be like that.

Lila's face showed some embarrassment upon hearing this.
