Chapter 75 Piano Exchange Meeting

Someone actually sent Victoria a box of chocolates worth $6,600. It was a huge box.

Ever since he found out Victoria had hypoglycemia, he started looking for chocolates and candies she could eat. The type in front of him was what he found. He had just arranged for a box to be airlifted a few days ago because this chocolate was limited edition and hard to get, even for him.

But now, there was a whole big box in front of him.

So, who was generous enough to send Victoria such an extravagant gift?

He felt a bit unhappy inside.

When Victoria came out after washing up, she saw him sitting on the couch, lost in thought. She walked up to him. "I'm done, go ahead."

She had just taken a bath, and the scent of her body wash lingered at the tip of Alexander's nose.

Alexander looked up, reached out, and pulled her to his side, holding her waist.

Victoria was puzzled. She had just taken a bath, so why did he look so upset?

She asked, "What's wrong?"

Alexander turned to her. "Does your friend own a chocolate shop?"

Victoria didn't know why he was asking but answered honestly, "Sort of."

After thinking for a moment, she added, "Technically speaking, she developed it."

Alexander fell silent.

Suddenly, he remembered Dylan's investigation report, which said this chocolate had only appeared five years ago. Owen had also mentioned that her anemia had always been there, so was this chocolate developed by Chloe specifically for Victoria?

This thought popped into his mind.

It seemed quite a few people cared about Victoria.

And he had only just found out about her coagulation disorder and anemia now; otherwise, there wouldn't have been any need for Chloe.

Victoria saw that he wasn't speaking and gave him a puzzled look, "Is there a problem?"

Alexander said, "No, just a bit unhappy."

Victoria was even more puzzled, raising an eyebrow and asking, "Why?"

"If I had known about your condition earlier, your friend wouldn't have had to develop this chocolate!" Alexander frowned, his words tinged with a bit of jealousy.

Victoria was slightly stunned, realizing that Alexander was jealous of Chloe?

Chloe didn't even know she had been categorized as a rival by Alexander.

"Chloe has a fiancé. My mother kept this a secret from a young age, so even the Kennedy family, who I've known for over a decade, didn't know. It's normal that you didn't know before." Victoria explained and comforted him.

In the blink of an eye, the day of the piano exchange arrived.

The Green family hosted the piano exchange at the banquet hall of the Golden Crown Hotel.

At noon, Clara didn't forget to text her, reminding her to be there at 5 PM sharp.

She didn't respond.

At 2 PM, Victoria received a phone call.

"Victoria, I'm in Rihegde." As soon as the call connected, an elderly but energetic voice came through.

Victoria wasn't surprised at all and responded calmly, "I know."

The person on the other end was used to her calm and cold demeanor but still asked in surprise, "How did you know? I didn't announce my itinerary."

Victoria didn't engage, asking indifferently, "Do you need something?"

The old man chuckled, "Yes, seeing you is a big deal."

Victoria was silent.

What was so special about seeing her? She didn't get it. She wasn't cash cow, yet everyone dying to come to Rihegde to see her.

"I rarely come here. Could you please take pity on me and meet me?" The old man pleaded pitifully.

Victoria, feeling helpless, considered his age and the long journey he had made. She didn't want to disappoint him, so she agreed. "Okay."

With that simple answer, the person on the other end sounded like he had found a treasure, extremely happy.

"Alright, after I attend the Green family's exchange, let's have dinner together." Then he glanced at Ignatius Mitchell, who was sitting across from him, eyes gleaming as he stared at the phone. He added, "Oh, and Ignatius is here too."

"What?" Victoria frowned instinctively.

The old man, feeling a bit guilty, touched his nose and coughed, "He knew you were in Rihegde and insisted on coming along. I couldn't stop him."

Then, Victoria heard a male voice on the other end, calling out, "Victoria."

Around 4 PM.

The Golden Crown Hotel was buzzing with many heirs of wealthy families.

Clara and the Green family's heir, Brent Green, were the center of attention and admiration.

One was known as the Pearl of Rihegde, and the other was the heir to the real estate giant, the Green family. Both had won second place in piano competitions and were considered geniuses in the piano world.

At grand banquets, they were often seen performing together.

It was known that the Green family was related to the Garcia family by marriage, and Clara and Brent were friends. Because of this connection, the Kennedy family had always been more highly regarded.

Anyone who could be associated with the five major wealthy families would become a target of flattery in this circle.

"Clara, Brent, your performance was simply amazing. Every note was so delightful and exhilarating," Julia exaggeratedly praised.

Besides Julia, many others surrounded them, each offering their compliments.

"Yes, your duo is fantastic," someone praised.

"You two were born to play the piano; your performance was incredible," another said.

"Watching you play was like attending a concert," a young lady added.

Brent looked at Clara with a gentle smile. "Clara is the truly amazing one. The pieces we played were all her original compositions."

His eyes couldn't hide his admiration for Clara.

In fact, he liked Clara, but unfortunately, she liked Lucas.

Who wouldn't like a girl as gentle, kind, and talented as her?

Clara smiled modestly, "Without you, I couldn't have achieved such an effect on my own, so it's not just my credit."

Brent felt very moved by her beauty, grace, and kindness. Everyone thought this piano exchange was for him, but it was actually organized for Clara.

He knew Clara always wanted to join the National Piano Association, and today, Colin, the president of the association, was invited. He hoped Colin would see Clara's talent.

"By the way, Clara. I heard Victoria can play the piano too?" someone asked.
