Landon was mid-sentence when he suddenly switched gears. "Hey, Victoria, can I run something by you?"
Victoria shot him a quick look and gave a slight nod.

He leaned in a bit and whispered, "Victoria, can you spot me $10 million?"

"I'll shoot it to you on Facebook," he said, whipping out his phone and tapping away.

He checked the bank notification; $10 million had just landed in his account.
Victoria didn't mess around and sent the cash right away. Landon was blown away by her speed.
"Victoria, aren't you gonna ask what it's for?" Landon asked, pouting a bit.
Victoria put her phone down, her clear eyes locking onto his. She said calmly, "You're Alexander's brother."
Landon's mouth twitched.
So, he was riding on Alexander's coattails.
Basically, because Landon was Alexander's bro, she trusted him too.
She knew Landon wasn't up to no good; otherwise, Alexander wouldn't have his back so much.
The Howard family was a mess, with everyone fighting for power. No way could someone in that family live as freely as Landon did.
Even though Alexander usually acted all cold, she knew he cared a lot about Landon; otherwise, he wouldn't carry all the Howard family drama on his own.
With Alexander handling the heavy lifting, Landon could chase his dreams.
Landon got it too.

"Alexander mentioned you're into eSports?" Victoria asked casually.
Landon replied, "Yeah, I invested in a team before and lost money."

She asked, "Which team are you eyeing this time?"
Landon didn't hold back. "I'm looking at two teams, Phoenix Fury and DH."
As soon as he said that, Victoria jumped in, "Go with DH. If you lose, it's on me; if you win, it's all yours."
Landon went quiet.
That evening, snowflakes were swirling outside.
Victoria stood by the door, reaching out to catch the falling snowflakes.
The white flakes landed in her palm, pure and beautiful.
The light stretched her shadow, casting it on the snow-covered ground.

Before she could say anything, Alexander pulled her into his warm embrace.
"Why'd you come out without a coat?" Alexander asked, opening his coat and hugging her tight, his chin gently resting on her head.
Victoria listened to Alexander's commanding voice, lying against his chest, feeling his strong heartbeat and the vibrations of his words.
She then reached out and hugged his waist.
"Because I wanted you to see me first, and I wanted to see you," she said softly, nestled in his arms.
Her words wrapped around his heart like a vine.
She didn't know why she suddenly felt the need to say that.
Even though they had only been apart for a few hours, it felt like forever.
She was feeling a bit sentimental today.
Alexander, however, liked this side of her, smiling as he kissed her hair and said gently, "I'll let it slide this time, but don't do it again; you'll catch a cold."
In the living room, Landon and Caesar stood together, watching the two figures embracing at the door.
Landon suddenly felt a pang of jealousy.
Caesar looked up at him, as if to say, "You're single."
He looked down at the tiger, knowing he couldn't understand animal language, let alone a tiger's expression, but he got the message.
Landon shot back, "Then you're a tiger destined to be lonely forever."
Caesar was furious.

A simple and concise message, accompanied by a poster.
