Chapter 23 Victoria's Combat Skills Are Very High

The top-floor private room.

Someone pushed the door open and walked in.

Everyone turned to look at the two who entered.

Alexander was holding Victoria's hand. He was noble and handsome, and she was coldly beautiful. They made a striking pair.

In the room were Owen, Caleb, and Garrett, who all knew Victoria a bit.

What they didn't know was that Victoria had already looked them up.

After marrying Alexander, she had researched him and, in the process, checked out his friends. But it seemed one person was missing.

She hadn't expected the top heirs of Rihegde's elite families to be such close friends.

It was surprising, given that no one had ever reported on their relationships.

Their PR and confidentiality were top-notch.

Alexander pulled out a chair for her. After she sat, he took the seat next to her.

Caleb watched, clenched his teeth, and stared at them. "Showing off your intimacy already?"

The next second, he got two cold, sharp glares.

Caleb instantly shut up.

Garrett laughed heartily, not caring at all.

He crossed his arms, propped up his legs, and leaned back in his chair.

Then, Alexander patiently introduced everyone to her one by one.

"There's one more person, but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit," Alexander added after finishing the introductions.

"Okay," Victoria replied.

Garrett raised an eyebrow, squinting. "Alexander, I didn't know you could be so gentle?"

Caleb chimed in, "Exactly, I never thought of him as 'gentle.'" He turned to Victoria with a slight smirk. "You must be quite charming."

Victoria was slightly taken aback but then smiled faintly. After all, they were Alexander's friends, and she couldn't always be cold.

"Thank you."

Not knowing what else to say, she politely thanked him.

Caleb was at a loss for words.

"May I ask a question?" Caleb asked.

This was their first formal meeting, and Caleb wasn't reserved at all.

Victoria smiled lightly, "Sure."

"Have you studied Taekwondo or Judo?" Caleb asked, curious about the scene at Mystic River Tavern that night.

A woman who looked so frail had such immense strength, breaking the ribs of three burly men, while she only had a cut on her palm.

Although Miles and the others didn't seem trained, the strength difference between men and women, especially three against one, was significant.

Victoria pondered for two seconds, "Sort of."

Caleb fell silent again, thinking, 'Sort of? What kind of answer is that?'

The others exchanged glances.

Victoria might have felt she hadn't said enough, so she added, "Judo, Taekwondo, and Sanda, I've learned them all."

Caleb's eyes widened.

Garrett rubbed his cheek.

Owen adjusted his glasses.

Even the always composed Alexander was slightly stunned. He suddenly recalled the night at the hospital when she had effortlessly lifted Clara and tossed her into the pond.

Seeing them all fall silent, Victoria squinted her eyes and asked coldly, "What's wrong?"

If these people weren't Alexander's friends, she wouldn't have said anything.

"Impressive."

Alexander looked at her, his lips curling into a smile as he praised her.

Caleb and the others were a bit shocked.

They all looked at Alexander with strange eyes.

'Did he get a wife or did he hire a bodyguard?'

Alexander ignored their strange looks and thoughtfully poured water for Victoria, saying gently, "Have some water, you've talked a lot."

Garrett, unafraid, said, "Since she walked in, she's only said a few words, are you deaf?"

Victoria remained silent.

Caleb kicked Garrett and raised an eyebrow, "Watch your words, mind your ribs."

Garrett instantly quieted down.

"Don't mind them, drink up," Alexander continued gently.

He really treated them like air.

Owen never participated in the banter; he just enjoyed watching.

Coincidentally, at this moment, the door was pushed open again.

Victoria instinctively looked towards the door.

Then she saw a familiar figure. What a coincidence?
