Chapter 97 Oliver and Simon Plan to Threaten Victoria
"Victoria, don't push it!" Elodie pointed and cursed, "Who do you think you are making Clara kneel? You're useless and arrogant. You don't even deserve to carry her shoes!"
Victoria laughed, "I'm useless? Then why do you all keep coming to me? If Clara's so capable, she can join the association herself!"
Elodie went silent.
Clara gritted her teeth, glaring at Victoria. In front of Oliver and Simon, she always acted kind and understanding. She couldn't confront Victoria openly, only showing her hatred when they weren't looking.
"Grandpa Oliver, Dad, for the Kennedy family's honor, I'll kneel to Victoria."
Victoria watched her fake kindness, "See, she's doing it voluntarily. I'm not forcing her."
Oliver and Simon's faces turned grim at Clara's words.
Victoria's defiance only made them more disappointed in her. But she didn't care; she had long given up on their approval.
Her compromise would only make them push her more.
"This is inappropriate. How can an older sister kneel to her younger sister!" Oliver shouted.
Victoria clapped, nodded, shrugged, and said, "Alright, since it's inappropriate, this conversation ends here. Come find me when you figure it out."
She was about to stand up when Oliver shouted, "Guards!"
Four tall bodyguards in black appeared.
Victoria squinted, a cold look in her eyes, "What are you planning?"
Oliver: "Agree to help, and I'll let you leave. Resist, and I'll use force." He glanced at the bodyguards, "These four will make you agree."
A chilling wind swept through the room. Victoria's eyes were icy, her whole body radiating a violent aura.
Meanwhile, Alexander called Victoria to pick her up, but she didn't answer. He asked Owen to check with Lila, who confirmed she wasn't with Victoria.
Just as he wondered why she wasn't answering, Marcus came in.
"Mr. Howard, our people reported that Mrs. Howard went to the Kennedy villa. She's been inside for over half an hour. They saw several bodyguards enter and felt something was wrong."
Alexander had arranged for secret protection after Halloween.
"Go to the Kennedy villa!"
At the Kennedy villa.
"What if I refuse?"
Oliver, furious at her stubborn tone, threatened, "Then don't blame me for using force!"
Victoria sneered, "Try and see if they can even touch me!"
Elodie mocked, "You're a frail woman. Think you can take on four bodyguards? Even one could take you down."
Clara, still pretending to be kind, said, "Victoria, don't be stubborn. Just do as they say, okay? They don't want to hurt you. Grandpa Oliver and Dad are thinking about the Kennedy family."
She then pleaded with Oliver, "Grandpa Oliver, please spare Victoria. What if she gets hurt?"
In her heart, she hoped Victoria would get hurt.
Victoria glanced at her coldly.
