Chapter 433 I'd Say I Came Out Ahead
Five years ago, an incident led Victoria and her group to become entangled with the 103 organization.
Due to Victoria's negligence, the three of them were captured by Ronnie and taken back to the 103 organization's base.
It was from that moment that she truly understood what real psychopathy was.
She had always thought she was ruthless enough.
But little did she know, there were people even more ruthless than her, to the point of being insanely and cruel.
She watched helplessly as Ronan endured the torture meant for her, unable to do anything.
And all of this was caused by the madman in front of her.
Ronnie saw Victoria's face gradually turn pale, her eyes becoming sharp and bloodshot, and he knew he had hit her sore spot.
He continued to provoke her, "And George's broken leg." He then raised his hand and casually stroked his right cheek, a sly smile on his face. "A life and a leg, I'd say I came out ahead."
Victoria's mind remained clear. She kept suppressing the turmoil within her. Her eyes were cold and sharp, cutting through the air.
She said in a cold, hoarse voice, "Ronnie, you'll pay for this!"
She figured it was about time for Eugene and George to have left.
Her left hand, hidden behind her back, made a subtle gesture.
Marigold and Russell, hidden at the sniper point, quickly received her signal.
Both of them fired at Ronnie simultaneously.
The sniper rifles were silenced.
But Ronnie had been watching Victoria's movements all along.
The moment she moved her hand behind her back, he sensed something was up.
He reacted quickly, dodging one shot.
But one bullet still hit his arm.
"Master!" the man code-named A shouted as he immediately supported Ronnie.
And the black-clad men who were about to draw their guns fell one after another.
Everyone instantly took cover behind the walls.
Victoria took advantage of the chaos to run down a small path.
"Chase her! Bring her back!" Ronnie shouted angrily.
The remaining black-clad men immediately pursued her.
His anger at this moment overshadowed the pain in his arm!
Marigold and Russell, seeing Victoria leave, also withdrew.
"Master, let me stop the bleeding first." A saw that his arm was already soaked with blood.
Ronnie gritted his teeth, his facial muscles tense, his green eyes filled with a sinister aura. "Where is Cameron Simmons?"
A quickly treated his wound while answering, "He should be arriving soon."
Ronnie said coldly, "Inform Cameron, I want Victoria dead! Also, send a team to find George quickly!"
A replied, "Yes, Master."
George was Victoria's weak spot.
Victoria took a path opposite to the one Eugene and the others had taken.
Gunshots kept ringing out behind her.
Victoria ran quickly and soon disappeared.
One of the black-clad men shouted, "Keep after her! She can't have gotten far!"
Hiding in the grass on a nearby slope, Victoria contacted Marigold.
Marigold said, "Ms. Kennedy, Russell and I are at a small hill behind you."
Victoria said in a low voice. "Lead them to the traps you set up."
"Got it."
Then, Russell fired a few shots at a tree near the traps they had set up earlier.
Some of the black-clad men searching for Victoria heard the shots and went over.
Soon, there were a few screams.
This forest had many small animals and wolf packs. Victoria had guessed earlier that there must be hunting traps set up nearby.
So, she had Marigold and Russell take care of Ronnie's hidden men and then find these hunting traps.
The remaining five black-clad men, hearing the screams, also headed that way, but with increased vigilance.
Marigold and Russell lay on the rocks of the small hill, their sniper rifles aimed at the approaching black-clad men.
"Russell, you take the two on the right, I'll handle the remaining three," Marigold said.
"Alright,." Russell replied.
Ronnie never imagined that Victoria would have snipers on her side.
Coincidentally, Marigold and Russell's sniping skills were rigorously trained, and they were among the best snipers.
As the five black-clad men approached the edge of the trap, two of them fell instantly with a red dot on their foreheads.
The remaining three realized there were snipers and started shooting wildly in the direction of the shots with their submachine guns.
In no time, two more fell with red dots on their foreheads, their pupils dilated.
The last one turned to run but was shot in the back of the head after taking just two steps.
"All clear," Marigold reported to Victoria.
Victoria noticed that besides these black-clad men, she hadn't seen Ronnie pursuing, which felt off to her.
She narrowed her eyes. "Let's go, find Eugene and George's location!"
Ronnie wouldn't let her go that easily.
And she was right. Eugene had originally taken George along the route they had planned.
But they encountered another group from the 103 organization.
This group clearly wasn't at the cave earlier.
This meant that besides the men guarding the cave, Ronnie had another group of subordinates.
"Mr. York, stay here and don't move. I'll lead them away." Eugene handed George a handgun before leaving.
He wanted to send Victoria his location, but he realized his phone was missing.
It must have fallen when he hurried off.
George wanted to call him back, but Eugene moved too quickly.
He glanced down at his right leg. His usually calm eyes showed a hint of helplessness and guilt.
After Eugene had led the group away, he returned to find that George was no longer there. Eugene began to feel uneasy, thinking to himself, 'This is bad!'
"Mr. Howard, we still can't locate Mrs. Howard." Marcus said nervously.
Earlier, they had secretly installed a tracking chip on Victoria's phone, but now they couldn't get a signal.
Clearly, either the phone was destroyed, or Victoria had discovered the chip and removed it.
Since Victoria had come here in secret, she would definitely want to cover her tracks.
Because Kimberly was with her, they hadn't checked Victoria's actual location at the time.
Perhaps when Victoria decided to keep this from Alexander, she had already destroyed the tracking chip. But he didn't have the nerve to say this out loud. Still, he figured Alexander would realize it too."Alexander, Shadow Reapers Four just reported that the cave is empty, but there are many bodies." Gideon walked over, looking serious. "But there's something strange. Besides a few bullet marks, there are no signs of a fight. They checked the scene. It seems those people were poisoned, but we don't know what kind yet."
He frowned and continued, "There were over twenty people there, not including the hidden ones, but they were all killed without a chance to resist."
Gideon had to admit, whoever did this chose to use their wits, not brute force.
Someone with such meticulous thinking was terrifying.
This was a sneaky move.
Alexander listened, his frown deepening.
Owen suddenly made a bold guess, "Could this all have been Victoria's doing?"
Gideon was shocked!
If Victoria did this, he would be extremely impressed.
"Have them clean up the bodies quickly and find her location!" Alexander's cold, indifferent voice commanded.
He didn't care about these matters now; he wanted to know the location of the disobedient Victoria and whether she was safe.
He regretted not having someone investigate who the 103 organization had set this trap for.
If he had known earlier, things wouldn't be like this now.
He still didn't understand her well enough.
No one noticed the frustration in Alexander's eyes.
"Eugene, where's George?"
