Chapter 405 Uninvited

Breaking into the Presidential Palace was an idea only Victoria could come up with.

"Do you think anyone here can beat me?" Victoria asked him, her eyes narrowing.

Thomas glanced at the three people standing there. Winter, Eugene Bailey, and Russell Edwards all shook their heads.

Eugene said, "Victoria, how about I go with Mr. Taylor?"

"No need, you guys stay outside and keep watch." She said, "When the time comes, I will hack into the Presidential Palace's surveillance, but since all the security equipment at the Presidential Palace is top-notch, it won't last long. I need you to be ready to assist from outside. Alright, go and prepare."

The three of them responded in unison. "Yes."

Thomas was still a bit worried. He frowned and asked, "Is it really necessary to break into the Presidential Palace?"

Victoria replied, "Since Hayes Windsor is not the problem, the biggest issue must be the Presidential Palace."

In the past two days, they had come to the Kingdom of Serenia and investigated Hayes, but found no clues.

In the Kingdom of Serenia, the only person who could make so many children disappear without a trace and without arousing suspicion would be someone with the highest authority.

If Hayes was not the problem, then we needed to investigate Zephyr Windsor.

"But according to our investigation, Zephyr, as the ruler of the Kingdom of Serenia, has always loved his people, and the people of the Kingdom of Serenia hold him in high regard and respect him," Thomas said. "Moreover, the records show that since Zephyr was chosen as the heir, he has never done anything to harm the country's interests. He has been in power for decades, so it can't all be an act, right?"

Victoria did not comment, she simply said, "We'll know once we take a look."

Thomas always felt that she was very interested in the Presidential Palace, but he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination.

At this moment, Victoria did not know that Alexander had also gone to Aidamore and had directly sought her out.

In Aidamore, at the Hernandez Estate.

This was the first meeting between Seraphim and Alexander.

Nancy, who was pretending to be Victoria, was not feeling well when she heard that Alexander had arrived.

Victoria had never mentioned that she would have to act in front of Alexander too.

What if she slipped up?

"Dear, this is Seraphim." Nancy silently repeated to herself and self-hypnotized, convincing herself that she was the real one and not to be afraid.

Alexander looked at 'Victoria,' who was a few steps away from him, and his brow furrowed slightly.

He didn't keep his gaze on her for long but turned to greet Seraphim, "Hello, Mr. Hernandez, I've heard a lot about you. I apologize for coming uninvited and disturbing you."

Seraphim gazed at the distinguished Alexander. Despite his efforts to downplay his status, Alexander's commanding presence was undeniable.

For someone who had stood at the top for years, it was rare to see Alexander restrain himself for anyone.

"It's alright; Vicky is here anyway. You two are married, so it's normal for you to come looking for her," Seraphim said with a gentle smile. "However, she might need to stay here for a few days to accompany Sarah. Sarah has been having some health issues recently and needs someone to take care of her, and she's used to having Vicky around."

Upon hearing this, Alexander looked at 'Victoria,' who nodded and said, "Sarah has always had a weak constitution. She might have been frightened a few days ago at the Smith Family, which caused her sudden discomfort. So I brought her back for Seraphim to check on her. Seraphim has always been her primary doctor."

"So, I'll be staying here for a few days," she asked. "Why don't you stay here too?"

After asking this, 'Victoria' silently prayed, 'I'm just being polite, please don't agree.'

Alexander stared at her for a moment without speaking, his eyes flashing with a hint of something unusual.

Then he smiled slightly and took a step forward.

'Victoria' instinctively wanted to step back but froze.

Alexander reached out and patted her head, then said, "I'll stay at the hotel. You can stay here during the day, but you have to come back to the hotel to be with me at night."

'Victoria' felt uneasy.

To avoid being discovered too soon, she mustered the courage to nod. "Okay."

She agreed first and would think of a plan later.

Alexander didn't stay long at the Hernandez Estate, saying he had a video conference to attend and needed to return to the hotel.

"I'll have Kimberly come to pick you up tonight," Alexander said before leaving.

'Victoria' obediently nodded. "Okay."

After seeing Alexander off, Nancy felt like she could finally breathe again.

"Mr. Hernandez, what should I do?" She turned to Seraphim. "If I go tonight, I'll definitely be found out."

Seraphim looked thoughtfully in the direction they had left and asked, "Is this how Vicky usually interacts with him?"

"What?" Nancy didn't understand at first, then said, "I don't know. I was just improvising."

How could she know how Victoria usually interacted with Alexander at home?

She had only been to Serenity Grove Manor once and never again.

She had tried her best to act naturally.

Seraphim didn't say much after hearing this, only saying, "We'll see when they come to pick you up."

In the car.

Marcus was puzzled. "Mr. Howard, I didn't know you had a video conference?"

They hadn't scheduled any work for this trip, and even if something had come up, he would have known.
