Chapter 350 Who the Mistress Is, Goes Without Saying

Esme turned her sharp, cold gaze to Clara, who instinctively swallowed when their eyes met.

Elodie tugged at Clara's hand, signaling her not to get involved.

But Clara's mind was filled with the thought that the Kennedy Group belonged to her, and Victoria had no right to take it.

"Since Victoria isn't my dad's daughter, she has no right to hold shares in the Kennedy Group. How can an illegitimate child like Victoria take anything from the Kennedy family?" Clara said.

Clara had borne the label of an illegitimate child for too long, and now she finally had a chance to clear her name. She couldn't care about anything else.

So when Clara said this, she was particularly confident.

Esme narrowed her cold eyes at her but did not stop her from speaking.

Clara added, "I'm clearly older than Victoria, which means you interfered in Elodie and Simon's relationship. You're the real homewrecker."

Esme laughed at her words.

But Elodie, unhappy with Clara's words, tried to stop her again.

Clara shook off Elodie's hand. "Mom, you've been called a homewrecker for so many years. Don't you want to get rid of that label?"

Elodie's face turned pale instantly. She avoided eye contact and didn't respond.

At this moment, Esme's cold voice reached everyone's ears.

"You're not older than Victoria." Esme glanced indifferently at Clara. "Let me tell you, when I married into the Kennedy family with Victoria, you weren't even in the picture."

Esme had hidden Victoria's true age at the time.

When she married into the Kennedy family, she was already two months pregnant. But to avoid suspicion, she had to alter all the records, making it appear to everyone that Victoria was a premature baby.

A month after Esme married Simon, she discovered he had a woman outside.

Esme and Simon were in a cooperative relationship, so she naturally didn't interfere. But Esme needed to know the details, so she investigated Elodie, including her subsequent pregnancy.

So Esme's words were clear: Elodie appeared after Esme married Simon, making it obvious who the real homewrecker was.

"Impossible." Clara didn't believe it.

Esme ignored her and looked at Oliver and Simon. "For Thalia's sake, I'll consider the Kennedy Mansion a charitable gift to you. As for the rest, I'll send someone to collect it."

Esme was always decisive and true to her word. So, when Esme said she would take back what belonged to her, she wouldn't show any mercy, no matter who pleaded.

After years of marriage, Simon knew this well about Esme. Esme's actions today were to show them that everything they enjoyed now was given by her. Now she was taking it back.

The most devastated was Clara, realizing that what she had coveted for so long never belonged to the Kennedy family but to Victoria. The hatred in her heart kept growing.

Outside the Kennedy Mansion, Matthew and Kimberly waited for a full hour before the people inside came out.

This time, Matthew got a clear photo and muttered, "Kimberly, doesn't the woman in the wheelchair look familiar?"

Matthew stared at the photo in his hand. "Looks like Mrs. Howard."

Kimberly squinted. "Looks like Mrs. Howard."

The two spoke in unison and then looked at each other.

"Should we tell Mr. Howard about this first?" Matthew was unsure. "Or go directly to Mrs. Howard?"

Kimberly couldn't decide either, but thinking about Victoria's current condition, she chose to communicate with Alexander first.

Cleveland Clinic.

Alexander was quietly working on documents on the sofa in the ward, while Victoria was still asleep in bed.

The phone, set to silent, suddenly lit up. Alexander glanced at it, answered, and listened quietly while looking at Victoria in bed. Then he said softly, "Report to Victoria as usual."

"What did Mr. Howard say?" Matthew asked as she hung up the phone.

"Alexander told us to report to Mrs. Howard as usual," Kimberly replied.

Matthew noticed her strange expression. "Why do you look so puzzled?"

Kimberly pondered for a moment. "Mr. Howard wasn't surprised at all. He was too calm, as if he already knew."

Matthew clicked his tongue, dismissing it. "Isn't his calmness just typical? After all these years, you know he's a master at keeping his emotions in check."

Kimberly didn't respond, still feeling something was off about Alexander.

"Also, Mr. Howard told me to report to Mrs. Howard in an hour," Kimberly said.

Matthew puzzled. "Why?"

Kimberly replied, "Mrs. Howard isn't awake yet."

At 4:30 PM.

Victoria woke up to see Alexander on the sofa, his head slightly lowered as he worked. His sharp, smooth profile perfectly outlined his handsome features. She thought, 'It's wonderful to wake up to such a handsome face! His focus on his work is incredibly charming!'

Victoria's intense gaze snapped Alexander out of his work.

Their eyes met, and they saw each other's reflection in their eyes.

"Honey, I want to go to the bathroom." Victoria stretched out her slender arms towards Alexander, waving them in the air.

At first, Victoria was hesitant to ask to go to the bathroom, but now she spoke up without hesitation.

Alexander got up, walked to Victoria, bent down to kiss her forehead, and then carried her to the bathroom.

When they came out, Kimberly and Matthew were already in the ward.

Seeing Alexander carrying Victoria out of the bathroom, they instinctively looked away.

Alexander placed Victoria back on the bed, made sure she was comfortable, and handed her a cup of warm water.

"You two are back. Any findings?" Victoria looked at them, raising an eyebrow. "Tell me."
