Chapter 369 Embracing Each Other

Tilly roared inwardly!

If she hadn't realized that this was a competition and a live broadcast, she would have definitely jumped up from the judge's seat in excitement and surprise, completely disregarding her image.

She calmed herself down and lowered her voice to ask, "When did you get a husband? Why have you never mentioned it? Why didn't you tell me?"

Victoria reminded her, "Tilly, now is not the time for gossip; be mindful of the occasion."

Tilly glanced around, but her curiosity had already been piqued.

"After this is over, you can't sneak away; you have to tell me everything," Tilly said.

"Okay."

To the onlookers, their brief conversation seemed like they were discussing the competition.

Halfway through the competition, the Kennedy family finally arrived.

But the entry time had already passed.

Due to their status, the staff at the entrance had to report the matter to their superiors.

Tilly's assistant crouched down and came to the judge's seat. "Ms. Sullivan, there are a few people outside who say their daughter is a contestant in this competition, and they want to come in to watch."

Tilly frowned. According to the rules, no one could enter after the entry time had passed.

"Follow the rules!" she said.

Victoria, hearing this, asked, "What's the family's name? Or did they mention their daughter's name?"

Tilly didn't understand why she was asking this.

The assistant replied, "Their last name is Kennedy, and they are the family of contestant number 5, Clara."

Victoria looked at Tilly. "Let them in."

Then Tilly nodded in agreement.

As the assistant was about to leave, Victoria added, "Remember to inform them of our entry rules and arrange a good viewing spot for them."

The assistant, being smart, immediately understood the implication.

Oliver, Simon, and Elodie were respectfully invited in and given a spot with an excellent view.

The three of them felt their vanity greatly satisfied.

"Dad, I heard that the entry to this international competition is strictly timed, and no one is allowed in after the time has passed. They must have let us in because of Clara," Elodie said with a smile, feeling immensely proud inside. "And they even arranged VIP seats for us, which means they recognize Clara's talent."

Oliver looked at Clara on the stage and nodded in rare satisfaction. "As long as she wins the championship and marries into the Astor family, Clara's future will be secure."

After Esme took away the funds and resources she had left in the Kennedy Group, if it weren't for the Astor family's financial injection, the Kennedy Group wouldn't have survived until now.

The Kennedy Group had built its reputation on the perfume industry, but in the end, it all depended on Clara. If she could win this competition and apprentice under the internationally renowned perfumer Deer, the Kennedy Group would be back on the right track.

Compared to the Horizon Group, the Kennedy Group was like a small fish in a big pond.

Many of the Kennedy Group's former partners had flocked to the Horizon Group.

With Esme's return, the Kennedy family didn't dare to do anything to her.

So, Oliver and Simon could only pin their hopes on Clara.

Victoria, sitting at the judge's seat, turned slightly to glance at the three of them. Even without a close look, she could discern the smug, vain smiles on their faces.

"Dad, look, that's Master Deer. She just looked our way and even smiled," Elodie said excitedly, having caught her eye. "It seems Clara was right; Master Deer has high hopes for her and recognizes her. Now Master Deer knows us, otherwise, she wouldn't have looked at us and smiled so kindly."

Oliver followed her direction and saw a veiled woman.

He didn't say anything, but his satisfied smile showed that he believed Elodie's words.

Soon, Simon noticed Alexander in the guest seats. "Dad, look, isn't that Mr. Howard from Vertex Holdings Group? What's he doing here?"

Oliver looked in Alexander's direction, surprised to see this powerful man.

Missing the chance to curry favor with the Howard family had always been a sore spot for Oliver.

Even a minor offshoot of the Howard family could outshine the entire Astor family.

If he had known, he wouldn't have helped Clara take Lucas from Victoria. Maybe then, Clara would have met Alexander.

"Is Victoria here too?" Elodie, seeing Alexander, immediately thought of Victoria. She looked around but couldn't find her.

Alexander, in a dark blue suit, sat elegantly, looking at the stage.

"Could Mr. Howard have a friend in this competition?" Simon speculated.

Oliver disagreed. The head of the Howard family, the president of Vertex Holdings Group, wouldn't come to a competition for a friend.

Besides, all the contestants on stage were girls.

Alexander was known for not being close to women, so he wouldn't attend a competition for a female friend.

Anyone who knew him wouldn't think that.

"Let's ask a staff member," Oliver said.

Coincidentally, the assistant who brought them in was nearby.

Seeing them wave, the assistant wanted to ignore them but decided to go over.

"Is there anything you need help with?" the assistant asked with a forced smile.

In her mind, she thought, 'Even if you need help, I won't help you! Do you really think you're VIPs?'

"Why is Mr. Howard here?" Oliver asked.

The assistant was confused. "Who's Mr. Howard?"

She had been abroad, busy every day, with no time to keep up with these things, so she didn't know Alexander.

"The man sitting in the middle," Elodie pointed.

The assistant looked over and saw Alexander.

But she didn't know him; at first glance, she found him stunningly handsome, but on a second look, his aura was overpowering, and he exuded a coldness.

She usually knew the main guests, but not him. However, he had a guest invitation card, so she didn't question it.

Later, she saw Alexander and Master Deer hugging backstage, which scared her. She glanced and left quickly.

She hadn't had time to tell the director yet.

"That gentleman was brought by Master Deer," the assistant replied.

The three were stunned.

Alexander knew Master Deer?

"Do you know their relationship?" Elodie asked.

The assistant rolled her eyes internally, thinking, 'Why so many questions? Is this an interrogation? What does their relationship have to do with you?'

"Sorry, I don't know," she replied with a smile. "If you don't need anything else, I'll get back to work."

She hadn't liked them from the start.

They were all very arrogant, especially the woman, acting like she owned the place.

Meanwhile, Nicholas saw the Kennedy family in the live broadcast and frowned. "What are they doing there?"
