Chapter 210 Wedding Photos

Vertex Holdings Group.

Dylan had spilled all the beans on what he dug up.

After a beat, Dylan asked, "Mr. Howard, should we give Mrs. Howard a hand with this?"

Alexander's chiseled face stayed serious, and he kept his mouth shut.

Since the whole mess started, Victoria had only hit him up with a few questions last night and hadn't asked for anything else or his help.

Alexander knew her well; she liked to handle her own business.

And yeah, she could totally do it.

He didn't put any demands on her and wouldn't tie her down, as long as she stayed safe.

The office, warmed by the heater, went quiet for a bit. Alexander finally moved his lips and said, "No need. Keep an eye on things and step in if you have to."

Dylan nodded. "Got it."

After Dylan bounced, Quentin walked in, holding a fancy booklet.

"Mr. Howard, here's the schedule for the wedding photoshoot, set for December 11th." Quentin handed over the booklet.

Lately, he'd been swamped with this stuff.

He was setting up the wedding photoshoot for Alexander and Victoria, and planning their wedding for early March next year.

He suddenly realized that getting hitched was way more complicated than work.

Luckily, there was a wedding planning company, and he just had to keep tabs on things.

Alexander opened the booklet and skimmed through it, giving a light nod.

Everything was under Alexander's thumb, and he wouldn't let anything mess up their wedding.

Quentin then heard Alexander's icy voice. "I don't want any surprises. The wedding has to go as planned."

As one of the top five assistants, Quentin got the message loud and clear.

His face got more serious, replying, "Understood, you can count on me."

Alexander responded, "You can go now."

Quentin said, "Yes, sir."

After leaving the company, Victoria and Lila headed to the hospital to see Donna. They had just arrived when Harrington had just left.

The day Donna had her accident, Harrington was off shooting a promo video. By the time he got the news, Donna was already out of the woods, and he rushed back ASAP.

Donna had woken up. When she first came to, she was all confused, thinking she had kicked the bucket.

She had blacked out after falling, with only the freaky feeling of falling in her memory, then came the pain.

Victoria and Lila were kinda surprised she didn't cry or freak out but instead smiled when she saw them.

Donna, half-lying on the hospital bed, looked at them. "Sorry, Ms. Kennedy, Ms. Scott, I can't get up to greet you right now. Please, make yourselves at home."

She then turned to Shirley and said, "Shirley, make some tea."

"Please, sit down. Don't just stand there." Donna urged them warmly. "There are some fruits on the table, brought by Harrington."

Victoria and Lila stayed quiet.

It seemed their worries were a bit over the top.

They had been worried that Donna would be a mess after waking up, but she seemed way too chill.

Because of Donna's special status, she was in a private luxury hospital room.

Seeing the confusion on their faces, Donna explained before they could ask, "Don't worry, I'm fine. Just a bit of pain in my leg and hand."

She smiled and continued, "I'm actually pretty chill and open-minded."

Victoria glanced at her. She seemed chill, no hidden drama or fake vibes, just real.

"Seeing you're good, I'm relieved. Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to explain to your family," Victoria said.

"I heard from Patrick that my accident wasn't an accident, is that true?" Donna asked.

They didn't sugarcoat it and gave her the lowdown.

After visiting Donna, the two bounced.

Donna was cool with not acting in the drama anymore. Even if she wanted to, she couldn't. It'd take at least six months to heal up, and her family wouldn't let her work during that time.

Soon, Silver Screen Studios' official site dropped the news that Donna would be taking a break from all work indefinitely.

Donna also posted on Instagram: [I guess you all heard about my situation, so I won't bore you with the details. I want to apologize to my fans. I'll be taking a long break to recover before I can see you all again. I'm doing well. Love you all.]

She included a pic of herself half-lying on the hospital bed, smiling and making a heart gesture with her hands.

The post blew up, getting tons of attention from netizens.

The comments were all about wishing her well and waiting for her comeback.

[Donna, you finally showed up. I was so scared. I thought we'd never see you again. We'll wait for you to return like a queen.]

[Donna, you look beautiful even without makeup, just a bit pale. Take good care of yourself.]

[Donna, you suffered such serious injuries but still smile so happily. You really love us and didn't want us to worry.]

Victoria was at Serenity Grove Manor, messing with her phone. After skimming the comments, she turned it off.

Seeing the fans' acceptance of the situation, she felt a weight lift off her shoulders.

Next to her was a round, snow-white head. Caesar's big body lay on the carpet, with his head resting on the sofa, nuzzling Victoria's leg.

Landon had just walked in and saw this scene. He chuckled, "Aren't you afraid Alexander will blow his top?"

Caesar lazily glanced at him with its round eyes and let out a low growl, as if to say, "Mind your own business."

Landon plopped down on the sofa opposite and lightly kicked Caesar's butt. "Have you gained weight again?"

Caesar ignored him, shifting slightly in a very cute, arrogant way, as if saying, "Don't touch me. You're the one who's fat."

Victoria watched as they started to bicker.

It seemed Caesar could understand Landon's words, occasionally letting out a low growl or using his big body to retort.

Sawyer watched from the side, feeling pretty helpless. Only Landon would be so bored as to keep talking to Caesar.

After a while, Victoria saw Caesar let out a few whines towards her, with a hint of grievance.

"Now you're even learning to complain," Landon said to it.

Caesar was speechless. It really wanted to bite his mouth off!

Victoria was also pretty impressed with Landon.

"Victoria, don't spoil him. Alexander has already spoiled him too much. Sometimes he's just too arrogant," Landon said to Victoria.

Caesar was even more speechless.

Caesar thought Landon was so shameless, trying to stir the pot and bully it because it couldn't talk.

Caesar had only kicked him out of Serenity Grove Manor twice. Landon was so petty.
