Chapter 59 Just Gossip Among Ourselves
Victoria smiled gently, her hands naturally wrapping around his neck. "I'm not afraid, because you're here," she whispered.
Alexander rarely saw her so straightforward, and it made his heart race. Her tempting lips drove him wild, and he couldn't resist kissing her.
When his cool lips met hers, Victoria was momentarily stunned but quickly responded.
As she kissed back, Alexander grew bolder, wanting more.
She was like an addictive drug, and he couldn't get enough.
Before losing control, he pulled away.
Alexander wouldn't go further without her consent.
He held her tightly, wishing he could keep her close every day.
After a while, Victoria murmured, "I'm hungry."
Her stomach had been growling.
Alexander was surprised, a flash of concern in his eyes. "You haven't eaten?" he asked seriously.
Victoria sensed his anger and admitted, "No, I didn't have an appetite without you."
Alexander didn't know whether to be mad or happy. Mad she didn't eat, but happy he mattered so much to her.
He didn't dwell on it, pulling her to sit and arranging the food she had brought.
If she was hungry, it hurt him too.
Upstairs, they were in their own world, unaware of the buzz outside.
From the moment Victoria entered the CEO's private elevator at Vertex Holdings, the news spread in the company chat:

[Absolutely, saw it myself!]
[Oh my God, the CEO's elevator goes straight to the top floor!]
[Dylan mentioned it earlier.]
[Is Alexander getting married?]

[Mr. Howard was in a great mood this morning. Maybe because she was coming?]
Everyone agreed with this guess.

Seeing the figure in a green dress, the chat buzzed again.

The group was buzzing, but the top floor secretaries, who had seen Victoria, were silent. Dylan had told them not to gossip, so they weren't avoiding the chat; they just didn't dare.
The secretaries had never seen a woman in the CEO's office before. Only Alexander's assistants reported to him, and even the cleaning staff were male.
But they had to admit, Victoria was stunning, more beautiful than any TV star. Not delicate, but a majestic, cold beauty, like a queen. She seemed a perfect match for Alexander.
Meanwhile, in the assistant's office.
Dylan briefly browsed the company group chat. The colleagues were only daring to discuss it because Alexander wasn't in the group.
He then edited a message and clicked send.
Everyone's eyes widened as they stared at the latest message in the group.
Dylan: [She's not Mr. Howard's future wife; they are already married.]
Everyone took a moment to process this.
Three seconds later.
Everyone was shocked. Alexander was already married!
Oh my God, this should be big news in Ridgefield, no, it should be a major event in all of Stellaria!
But they hadn't received any news, nor had they seen a wedding. This wasn't normal.
Some didn't believe it, but seeing who sent the message, they had to believe it. After all, it was from Dylan, Alexander's most trusted assistant.
Then, they saw another message.
Dylan: [Please keep this confidential. Mrs. Howard doesn't want it to go public yet; they just want to enjoy their time together. The wedding will be held next year, so look forward to the company benefits.]
This message left everyone stunned again.
From this, it seemed Alexander really cherished his wife, agreeing not to announce the marriage yet.
As for the wedding, they were indeed looking forward to it. After all, it was the wedding of the head of Vertex Holdings Group.
Vertex Holdings Group was a century-old enterprise, with over 20,000 employees across its subsidiaries. Many might worry about leaks, but since Dylan had issued a notice, no one would spread the news. No one wanted to lose their job, and being fired from Vertex Holdings Group meant no other company would dare hire you. So, they could just gossip internally.
