Chapter 446 Return the Favor as It Was Given
Waverly looked at Alexander and found that he wasn't angry at Victoria's words.
She noticed a hint of a smile on his face.
How could this be?
A man as noble as Alexander, how could he be swayed by a woman?
And this woman even brazenly claimed that Alexander only listened to her.
Victoria didn't want to waste words with Waverly; as long as she didn't provoke her or covet her people, everything would be fine.
Victoria shifted her gaze to the four people kneeling on the ground.
The four wanted to stand up, but with people watching from behind, they would be kicked if they moved.
"Who exactly are you? I don't know you. Why did you have your people capture me?" Octavia glared at Victoria with eyes full of anger.
She had been pampered like a princess all her life and had never suffered such humiliation.
And now she was forced to kneel in front of so many people, kneeling to a woman who seemed to come out of nowhere.
How could she endure such humiliation!
But she couldn't do anything; the people Victoria brought were so fierce.
Facing Octavia's questioning, Victoria answered directly, "You didn't offend me personally, but you hurt someone you shouldn't have!"
Octavia was stunned.
"Half an hour ago, what did you four do? Do I need to help you recall?" she asked coldly.
Octavia didn't seem to realize the seriousness of the situation or who she had provoked.
She sneered, "Are you here to seek justice for that idiot who plays the piano?"
Victoria's eyes narrowed, a cold light flashing. "Winter, I think what she said is disgusting."
Winter understood immediately. "Got it."
Before anyone else could react, Winter stepped forward, stood in front of Octavia, raised her hand, and slapped her right across the face.
A crisp sound echoed through the entire hall.
Octavia herself didn't expect it.
Her head was knocked to the side, and her carefully styled hair was a bit disheveled.
It was clear how much force Winter had used.
"What are you doing? You actually hit my daughter! Are you out of your mind?" The noblewoman, no longer restrained, rushed forward immediately. She pointed at Winter, cursing.
As soon as she raised her hand, Winter slapped it down hard, and the noblewoman cried out in pain.
"I hate it when people point at me!" Winter glared coldly at the noblewoman, full of warning.
Suddenly, a dozen black-clad bodyguards rushed in.
Everyone thought they were from the Presidential Palace.
But the dozen people Gideon brought formed a protective ring around Victoria and Alexander, keeping others out.
"Alexander, are you and your wife okay? I'm here," Gideon said.
Victoria responded to Gideon, remembering that she hadn't called him for help.
Gideon seemed to understand her confusion and answered himself, "Alexander asked me to come."
Gideon's use of the word "wife" reached Waverly's ears, who was standing closest. Her eyes lowered slightly, and she tightly gripped her bag without a sound.
With the people Gideon brought, things were easier to handle.
Victoria directly ordered, "Eugene, start. Whatever they did to Ignatius, give it back double!"
As soon as she finished speaking, someone tried to stop her. "Wait a minute."
Victoria looked over at the sound.
It was Anouk Windsor of the Kingdom of Serenia, whom she had seen at the Presidential Palace before.
But Victoria just glanced at her indifferently and then looked away.
It was clear she didn't want to pay attention.
Everyone saw how bold Victoria was, ignoring even Anouk's words, and they speculated about who they were. Not only did they dare to cause trouble at Anouk's charity event, but they also seemed unafraid of the consequences.
Anouk had never been ignored like this before. Except for Zephyr, everyone treated her with utmost respect.
"Eugene, do it!" Victoria called out.
Seeing Victoria's complete lack of respect, Anouk's face immediately changed.
Waverly was very surprised that Alexander would allow Victoria to act so recklessly. He couldn't possibly be unaware of Anouk's status.
Since he knew, why didn't he stop her?
Eugene, Marcus, and Kimberly each took on one person.
As for Octavia, she was dragged aside by Winter to watch.
She was still dazed from Winter's slap.
The hall was filled with the wails of the three boys.
The mothers of the three boys were also at the charity event, but they were blocked by the bodyguards and couldn't help even if they wanted to.
Meanwhile, the bodyguards from the Presidential Palace outside remained motionless.
One of the boys' mothers turned to Anouk for help. "Mrs. Windsor, please do something. They barged in, captured my son, and now they're beating him without saying a word. This is outrageous! This is blatant lawlessness!"
Eugene and the others were trained, so they didn't hold back, but they knew which parts wouldn't be fatal, only causing intense pain.
"It hurts."
"Mom, save me."
No matter how they cried out, it was useless.
And Victoria's clear voice rang out at this moment, "What? Can't handle a little pain? Did you think about this moment when you were hitting Ignatius?"
Her voice was clear, with a hint of coldness, loud enough for the people blocked by the bodyguards to hear.
"Impossible! My son is so well-behaved; he would never hit anyone. Don't slander him!"
"Exactly, my son has always been obedient. He's never been in a fight. You must be trying to extort money. Fine, I'll call the police and let them handle this!"
"My son never causes trouble either. I support calling the police!"
The three noblewomen each spoke up for their sons.
The crowd recognized the identities of these three women as the ladies of the Rothschild Family, the Whitaker Family, and the Wipere Family, all prominent families in the Kingdom of Serenia, with very wealthy backgrounds.
Some onlookers couldn't help but worry for the people who suddenly barged in. Offending the combined forces of these three families, along with the Montgomery family, was no trivial matter.
They probably wouldn't be able to leave Hearst Castle today.
