Chapter 294 Warm Moments Together

Kimberly strolled over to Victoria, and out of nowhere, Matthew showed up and whisked Caesar away.

Kimberly then confided in Victoria, revealing all that she had just witnessed.

"Mrs. Howard, Clara was sneaking around in the bushes earlier. She probably recorded a video of you and Caesar together," Kimberly reported.

Victoria wasn't even fazed; if Clara didn't pull stunts like this, it wouldn't be her. Clara was always on the lookout for a chance to set Victoria up.

"I know. Just ignore her," Victoria said, cool as a cucumber.

She had a pretty good idea of what Clara was up to.

Meanwhile, two people were perched in a dense tree in the distance, both with binoculars.

Eric was glued to the sight of the pure white tiger and exclaimed, "Holy crap! When did Victoria get a pet like that?"

Leroy was just as shocked. They had been tailing Victoria for ages but had never seen her with an animal.

Eric added, "Man, showing off that tiger would be epic."

Leroy stayed quiet, then frowned. He had just noticed someone hiding in the bushes, filming. It was a woman, kind of familiar, but he couldn't place her.

After Victoria had been gone for a bit, Christopher and his crew emerged. They cautiously looked around before stepping out, worried Victoria might change her mind and leave the tiger to ambush them.

Christopher never saw this coming. In his plan, Victoria was supposed to compromise and choose to cooperate with him, thereby allowing him to maintain his authority. However, the reality was entirely different.

Her laid-back attitude made it seem like she was just going through the motions.

Before she left, she even told him seriously, "Next time you invite me, pick a fancier place. Don't make me come all this way with nowhere to sit."

He was fuming. He didn't expect Victoria to be so cocky.

He figured it was Alexander's backing that made her act this way.

To Christopher, the tougher someone was to handle, the more intrigued he got.

That night, Victoria was chilling in the living room when she heard a car engine outside, knowing Alexander was back.

As Alexander stepped onto the porch, he saw Victoria already at the door to greet him, now in her comfy loungewear.

But seeing her come out without a coat, he frowned and said in a somewhat stern tone, "If you come out without a coat again, I'll have to teach you a lesson."

His words were sharp, but his actions were gentle. He quickly stepped forward, wrapped Victoria in his arms, and led her inside.

His scent enveloped her, and his body heat gradually seeped into her, creating a wonderful feeling.

"Could you really scold me?" Victoria asked, tilting her head slightly, her puzzled expression making her look even more adorable as she gazed up at his handsome face.

Even though she was almost 5'6", she still had to look up at Alexander.

"If you keep this up, I might have to," he replied with a teasing grin.

Victoria paused for a moment, then asked, "So, how do you plan to teach me a lesson?"

Alexander stopped walking and lowered his gaze to meet hers. In that instant, Victoria's heart started racing. His deep, captivating eyes were impossible to resist.

Their eyes locked, and Alexander's lips curled into a devilish smile. He leaned in close to her ear, his voice low and magnetic, with a hint of mischief.

Victoria's cheeks turned bright red. "Can you be serious for once?" she playfully scolded, giving his shoulder a light punch.

Her punch was so gentle, it felt more like a caress. Her shy demeanor made him love her even more.

"Your method is too crude. I vote against it," she said, breaking free from him and heading towards the living room.

As she walked away, she muttered something under her breath. Alexander quickly followed, his eyes filled with affection as he watched her petite figure. His smile widened as he caught up with her.

Just then, Molly stepped forward and said, "Mrs. Howard, Mr. Howard, dinner is ready."

"Okay, Molly, I'm coming," Victoria replied, turning to gracefully make her way to the dining table.

After dinner, Victoria sat cross-legged on the sofa, holding a fruit platter prepared by Molly. She was munching on fruit and watching a movie with great interest. The movie starred Sarah, and to avoid being quizzed by Sarah later, Victoria made time to watch her films.

Alexander sat beside her, reading a finance book. He didn't have the habit of eating after dinner. He always stayed with her after meals to make sure she didn't overeat and get a stomach ache. He hadn't forgotten the time she overate and hurt her stomach.

Actually, Victoria didn't have the habit of eating fruit after dinner until she moved in here, thanks to Molly. The fruits were all her favorites, and there were occasional desserts and all kinds of sweets. Molly was a fantastic cook and could make anything.

Once, Victoria came home early and caught Molly making desserts in the kitchen. She thought she might as well learn, as it would be a good way to cultivate herself and she could make them for Alexander later.

But it turned out she had no talent in this area, so much so that Molly lost confidence in teaching her. To avoid making things difficult for Molly and herself, she decisively gave up and asked Molly to keep it a secret from Alexander. Her hands were probably only good for typing code or fighting.

After a while, Victoria lost interest in the movie.
