Chapter 103 Meeting Molly
'Forced?! I've been bending over backward, making the first move again and again, and he thinks it's forced?!'
"Edward, I'm your fiancée! How can you say that?" Nicole's eyes filled with tears.
"Nicole, you knew from the start I can't handle women being too forward or intimate," Edward sighed, his eyes cold.
"Yeah, I knew."
'Because of his family and childhood trauma, Edward's never been able to get close to women like a normal guy. Just expressing his feelings is hard for him. Otherwise, a guy like him would've been snatched up long ago, even without Lily, during the three years I was gone.'
"But ever since we got back together, it's like you forgot that." Edward thought of Lily's icy stare and clenched his fists.
He didn't understand what he was feeling—something new and unsettling.
He felt like he'd messed up, a vague guilt gnawing at him, but he couldn't pinpoint why.
He'd never felt so lost.
"But Edward, we're about to get married!"
Nicole's eyes were bloodshot as she stepped forward, almost hysterical, "We're not kids anymore. We can't just hold hands and hug forever! We're supposed to share a bed and have kids!"
Edward exhaled, unconsciously stepping back.
'I thought marrying Nicole was what I wanted. But why do I feel more panicked and resistant as the wedding gets closer?'
Suddenly, the door slammed open.
Landon stumbled out of the banquet hall, cheeks flushed, tugging at his tie with trembling hands, looking dazed and drunk.
Edward felt the unusual heat radiating from Landon as he passed, feeling puzzled.
Nicole hid behind Edward, a sinister smile curling on her lips.
Meanwhile, Evelyn had just changed back into her clothes and walked out from backstage.
"Ms. Brown! Something's wrong!"
A maid rushed up to her, "Landon's not feeling well and is resting in a guest room. You should check on him! He seems really uncomfortable!"
Evelyn's heart tightened, "Lead the way!"
'Edward and Landon left one after the other. Where did they go?'
Eric, bored of sitting alone, decided to take a walk outside.
As night fell, the sky was full of stars, and the garden was peaceful with small bridges and flowing water.
Eric noticed the garden was lit with antique-style lamps, their soft light like hazy moonlight, creating a beautiful scene.
As he enjoyed the night scenery, he suddenly heard rustling from the bushes.
Eric's eyes narrowed, "Who's there?!"
No response, and the rustling stopped.
'Probably just a stray cat.'
Eric was about to leave when the bushes moved again!
This time, he heard faint, soft female cries.
'Someone's definitely there!'
Eric's brow furrowed as he cautiously approached the bushes.
The weak, tearful sounds were enough to make any normal guy's face flush and ears burn.
Eric's heart skipped a beat, his Adam's apple bobbing as he walked closer.
"Who's in there? Come out."
As he got closer, he saw the lace edge of a woman's white dress peeking out. He pushed aside the bushes.
'?!'Eric's eyes widened in shock.
In the dim light, Molly's skin glowed with an enticing blush, her eyes misty, lips slightly parted, breathing heavily.
Eric's lips trembled, stunned, "Molly?! What are you doing here?!"
"I'm so hot."
Molly raised her beautiful face, her body trembling, a blush spreading from her face to her ears, down her neck, even staining her delicate collarbones.
"Hot? What's wrong? Are you sick? You can't just hide here!"
Eric couldn't figure out what was happening, quickly reaching out to pull her out of the bushes.
As soon as he touched her arm, he was shocked at how hot she felt, like a human heater!
"Are you running a fever?!" Eric asked anxiously, at a loss.
"Help me."
Molly's consciousness was fading, barely seeing Eric's face.
But when Eric got close and touched her, she felt so comfortable.
She didn't understand what was happening, but she wanted him to touch her more, to be closer.
"Molly?"
Before Eric could finish, Molly tightly hugged him, and they both fell into the bushes.
Molly straddled Eric's waist, sitting on a very sensitive part of his body!
'I, experienced in romantic affairs, had never been overpowered by a woman before, especially not by such a young girl! Who was the real criminal here?!'
"Molly! Stop it, I have someone I care about!" Eric said.
The next second, Molly, lying on his chest, closed her eyes and kissed his lips without hesitation.
Caught off guard, Eric lost his ability to think, his heartbeat coming to a halt.
Her soft, slippery tongue clumsily entwined with his, causing a tremor in his chest, and his large hand on her waist tightened its grip.
Their breathing grew hotter, and everything around them became dreamily quiet.
Meanwhile, Debra couldn't find Eric to check if he had drunk the spiked wine, pacing anxiously.
'I hadn't told Nicole about drugging Eric, planning to have sex with him first, then forcing him to marry her. But where was Eric?! Where had he gone?!'
"Debra!" A maid ran over.
"How did it go?!" Debra asked, looking around cautiously.
"Everything went perfectly, don't worry! I personally helped Mr. Taylor into the room and then brought Lily over."
The maid smiled smugly, "Mr. Taylor was drugged, so he must have done everything by now!"
"What about Eric? Did you see him?"
"I didn't see him."
"Did you drug him or not?!" Debra's face turned red with anxiety.
"I did! And I saw Mr. Clark and Mr. Taylor drink the wine with my own eyes! If Mr. Taylor was affected, Mr. Clark couldn't be fine!" the maid said.
Debra was feeling frustrated when Nicole called, quickly walking away to answer.
"Debra, you did a great job. Now, just wait for the show to start!"
