Chapter 613 Clearing Evelyn's Name!

Bart's fists clenched. He really wanted to go up there and punch that damn reporter!

However, the scene suddenly fell silent. Everyone waited to watch the drama unfold—after all, someone had asked the question they didn't dare ask out of fear of Evelyn's power.

Inside the car, Edward's rage was burning. His hand, veins bulging, had just grabbed the door handle when Evelyn hugged him tightly from behind.

"Hey! It's already chaotic enough out there. Don't go making it worse!" He gritted his teeth, anger rolling through his deep voice, "But he's slandering you."

"So what? I don't care." Evelyn pouted her rosy lips and playfully tickled his ribs. "Mr. Wellington, you're an adult now. Can you please stay calm?"

Edward's anger subsided a bit, but he was still upset "We can't just let this go. He's probably being manipulated by the Alexander family."

"So? What about it?" Evelyn blinked her bright, sparkling eyes, unconcerned. "Randy is finished, and we got justice for those victimized girls. I've achieved my goal. As for what those people say, I don't care."

"Evelyn... don't make me feel so useless." Edward felt a bitter pang in his heart.

"How are you useless?" Evelyn pressed her soft chest against his heaving muscles, cupping his face with both hands. "When I'm with you, I feel amazing. Worries? I don't have any."

She leaned in, "Come on, kiss me."

Edward's large hand caressed back and forth between her slender waist and round bottom, then his lips kissed her deeply. He used to feel physically uncomfortable watching others flirt, but now he was as obedient as a completely tamed wolf-dog. His soul had long been captured by her. Perhaps he had always been a vessel filled with intense love and possessiveness, but after meeting her, his eyes and heart could no longer hold anyone else.

After the kiss, Evelyn's eyes held an enchanting gleam as she slowly pulled away from his lips. "See how useful you are? Just like that, all my troubles are gone."

Outside the car, facing the reporter's malicious question, Bart suppressed his anger, reminding himself to focus on the bigger picture—safely escorting the victims was the priority.

"Anna, ignore him. Let's go." In his urgency, Bart instinctively reached for Anna's cool little hand.

However, Anna stood her ground, unmoving.

The next second, in front of everyone, Anna removed both her baseball cap and mask!

Bart's mind buzzed, his heart suddenly tightened. He wanted to stop her but it was too late.

"Anna!" Inside the car, both Evelyn and Edward's eyes widened in shock.

Showing her true face, Anna was instantly swallowed by overwhelming camera flashes. She tried hard to keep her reddened eyes open, showing no fear, staring seriously at the male reporter and questioning him word by word, "Excuse me, is your question based on your speculation, or do you have evidence to prove this is Ms. Taylor's true intention?"

The male reporter awkwardly stumbled, "Well... this is my reasonable guess."

"As a reporter, you should understand that truthfulness is a basic principle. Without any supporting evidence, you've slandered Ms. Taylor in just a few words, which suggests manipulation and defamation. Could it be that you were sent by Ms. Taylor's enemies to cause trouble?"

This fragile-looking girl's words were so sharp, her fearless attitude left everyone stunned! The troublemaker quietly retreated, disappearing into the crowd like a coward.

"Anna..." Bart stared at her determined face in a daze, his heartstrings trembling violently. He, who should have been the calmest, couldn't steady his heartbeat.

Anna took a deep breath and declared firmly, "I was able to step forward and report Randy because of Ms. Taylor. She patiently counseled us and supported us behind the scenes, giving us the courage to take this step. In our eyes, Ms. Taylor is our savior. If I watched someone slander her and didn't speak up for Evelyn, I would be ashamed for the rest of my life!"

By the end, her voice was choked with emotion.

The scene fell completely silent. No one expected that this traumatized underage girl, at her most vulnerable moment, would dare to face the media with her true face, just to speak up for Evelyn.

Such a pure and upright girl commanded respect. People couldn't help but reflect, Could the Evelyn this girl defended under such pressure really be the same person as the fake woman being criticized online?

Watching Anna being safely escorted into the car by Bart, Evelyn finally couldn't hold back. She buried herself in Edward's arms, tears streaming down her face, yet crying without a sound.

The man said nothing, just gently patted her.

Yes, why care what strangers think? These girls understood her, he understood her—that was enough.

With a complete chain of evidence, victims filing reports, and the killer confessing that Randy had ordered him to commit murder, the police formally detained Randy on charges of rape and premeditated murder.

From that moment, he was no longer a suspect cooperating with the investigation, but a genuine criminal!

The dramatic reversal completely broke Randy. In the detention center, he screamed like a mad dog, banging on doors, rolling on the ground, and even getting into physical confrontations with officers. So another charge was added to his list, assaulting a police officer.

"I'm innocent! I only raped a few girls, I didn't kill anyone! I'm innocent!" Randy stared with bloodshot eyes, frantically pounding on the iron door. Feeling his hand wasn't strong enough, he actually removed his prosthetic left leg and used it to bang wildly on the door.

"Lots of people who get locked up say they're innocent," the officer glared at his unshaven, gaunt face with disgust and spat, "Ugh! Disgusting! The Alexander family is like a cancer on society! Too bad our country doesn't have castration as punishment for rapists, or else your thing should be cut off and thrown in a cesspool!"

Randy's bloodshot eyeballs looked ready to pop out of their sockets as he continued shrieking, "I didn't kill anyone... I'm being framed! I want to sue! I want a lawyer!"

...

Two days later, Randy didn't get his lawyer. Instead, he got his brother, Calvin.
