Chapter 514 Coward?

Everything felt like a meticulously polished and rehearsed script.

After the scandalous footage of Tiffany abusing drugs in the lounge was exposed, the police immediately came to arrest her.

At that moment, the big screen switched to the VIP section.

The screen displayed Tiffany's deranged and pale expression, her incontinence on the spot, and her being taken away by the police, all in vivid detail.

When she was an actress, she envied Joyce for always being the leading lady, getting close-ups, and having the audience remember her face.

She also hoped that one day she could receive such treatment.

Now, she finally got it; this unforgettable disgrace made her famous."Oh my God, did Tiffany just pee herself? She got so scared by the police that she peed? Hahaha!"

"Are you stupid? That wasn't from fear; it's a side effect of drug abuse!"

"I knew it. This isn't the first time Tiffany's been arrested. With the Wellington Group backing her, even if she's caught, they won't just sit back and do nothing. What does she have to be afraid of? Turns out she couldn't hold it in and wet herself! How embarrassing!"

Tiffany was dragged out by the police, trembling all over, with urine still dripping down.

"Patrick! Save me! I'm innocent! I've been framed! Patrick!"

Patrick looked at the dirty liquid on the ground and Tiffany's miserable state. He was so shocked that his mind felt like it was exploding with pain, staring blankly, unable to say a word.

Tiffany kept shattering his perception of her, challenging his limits!

"Patrick, I just tried to have the screen turned off, but I heard the Alexander family blocked our Wellington Group people from entering the control room. It seems like a conspiracy, with the police involved from the start," Carl whispered beside Patrick.

"Conspired with whom?" Patrick asked, his voice tight.

"I don't know yet, but I'll find out the truth as soon as possible."

Patrick's mind was buzzing with chaos, but amidst the confusion, he suddenly remembered an incident from over twenty years ago.

At a party, Joyce had also wet herself in public, and it was broadcast live!

At that time, as a special guest, he and Charlie witnessed the whole thing from the audience.

Everyone saw how badly Joyce ended up because of that incident. Rumor had it that she fell into severe depression and repeatedly tried to end her life. It was Charlie who stayed by her side, took her abroad for treatment, and helped her gradually recover from the shadow of despair.

Today, under the spotlight, the nightmare from twenty years ago happened to Tiffany.

No matter how Patrick looked at it, it seemed like a meticulously planned revenge!

So, he instinctively looked at Evelyn with a resentful and angry gaze.

Coincidentally, Evelyn was gazing affectionately at Edward, smiling sweetly.

Those beautiful, cunning eyes and the victorious smile at the corners of her lips were a huge insult to him, unbearably glaring!

"The people you found arrived just in time," Evelyn said, squinting her clever eyes and nudging Edward with her shoulder.

Edward's heart melted at her touch. He looked down at her, smiling warmly, "Isn't it because you taught me well?"

Evelyn couldn't stand him saying that, her face blushing with shyness.

"If it weren't for your groundwork, this arrest wouldn't have had such an earth-shattering effect.

Evelyn, you did a great job. I was just assisting you." Edward's eyes were filled with tenderness, his heart trembling with emotion, not knowing how to properly thank her.

Tonight, it seemed he had to double his affection for her.

No, he wanted to cherish her for a lifetime, love her forever.

"But I just heard the police say they arrested her on drug charges. Why not..." Evelyn was a bit surprised.

Edward interrupted with a deep gaze, "I'll explain my plan in detail when we get home tonight."

Tiffany's arrest surprised everyone except Edward and Evelyn.

Even Landon was stunned, casting a surprised look at Evelyn.

Evelyn responded with a playful wink.

Charlie held the trembling Joyce tightly, gently asking, "Did it scare you?"

Although it was satisfying to see Tiffany get her comeuppance, he was still worried it might trigger her psychological trauma.

"Charlie, I'm not as fragile as you think, and I've been waiting for this day for too long."

Joyce left Charlie's embrace and walked straight to Evelyn, her eyes burning with gratitude, her voice filled with emotion.

"Evelyn, thank you."

Evelyn blinked, pretending to be puzzled, "Joyce, what are you talking about? I didn't do anything."

"I know, I understand everything."

Joyce, with tears in her eyes, held Evelyn's hand tightly, "Evelyn, Joyce will always owe you. I can't repay this favor, but I will do my best in my lifetime."

"Tiffany's downfall is God's punishment for her. Joyce, don't overthink it. Go home, have a good sleep, take Jennifer on a trip abroad, and I'll have someone update you on the situation here."

"I think there will be more scandals soon. Tiffany's bad luck is far from over," Evelyn said, not taking credit but hinting at something deeper.

Gilbert stood in a shadowy corner, adjusting his glasses with a dark expression.

"What do you think about this?" he asked.

Curtis's eyes shifted, and he said in a deep voice, "I believe Evelyn and Edward teamed up. They have deep grudges against Tiffany and would definitely seek revenge."

"How is Sebastian doing?" Gilbert abruptly changed the subject.

"Our people have been closely monitoring him. He's still in Mugden."

Gilbert let out a sinister laugh, his fingers curling tightly, knuckles turning white. "I think it's time to get him out of Mugden."

Curtis was taken aback. "But Sebastian made so many outrageous demands before, asking for money and a private jet. Didn't you say to keep him steady for now? Why the sudden change?"

"Give him whatever he wants. Just get him out of Mugden," Gilbert said firmly, leaving no room for argument.

Curtis suddenly understood, gritting his teeth and nodding. "I understand your intentions, Mr. Alexander."

The big screen in the center of the racetrack went dark, but the excited discussions among the crowd did not stop.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Maurice signaled to Neil.

Neil immediately approached Gavin and Sawyer with a smile. "You two have come a long way. The Clark family would like to host you properly. I guarantee you'll be satisfied and find the trip worthwhile."

"Besides, with this unexpected incident, Elbert and Patrick will have their hands full. They probably won't have time for you. Why not come with us to rest for a while?"

As Gavin hesitated, Edward's sharp, commanding voice cut through like a sword. "Maurice, Neil, are you trying to leave now? The Clark Group is renowned. Turns out, they're just cowards who dare not face the consequences."

"Cowards? Edward, who are you calling a coward? Speak clearly!" Neil shouted angrily, his face turning red.

Everyone was stunned!

Charlie scolding Tiffany was one thing. Tiffany deserved it, and Charlie was on equal footing with Patrick, even wealthier than the Wellington Group.

If he got angry and scolded Patrick, who would dare stop him?

But how could Edward, a junior, dare to do this? How would he interact with the Clark family in the future? Wasn't he afraid of being plotted against by them?

Evelyn looked up at Edward, her heart racing faster and faster.

She made up her mind that even if Edward offended everyone in Mugden, she would stand by his side, through thick and thin.

With her backing him, she wanted to see who would dare touch her man!

Maurice was so angry that his vision blurred, and he struck the ground with his cane. "Patrick! Aren't you going to control your son? Are you going to let him insult his elders?"

Edward exuded a cold, bloodthirsty aura, his thin lips curling into a smile with a hint of menace. "If you are fair and just, you are my elder. If you are not, and you try to cover for a murderer, don't blame me."

"Edward, shut up!" Patrick glared.

"Today, you have two choices: either handle it yourselves or let me take care of it my way," Edward said, ignoring Patrick, his oppressive gaze slowly shifting to Jessica.

Jessica was terrified, her expensive dress soaked with cold sweat!

Why was he looking at her? Did he suspect her?

No, she hadn't done anything herself. She hadn't even been to the stables; it was all Barry. It had nothing to do with her!

"Fine! You want to investigate, I'll accompany you to the end!" Maurice said through gritted teeth, his tone cold and threatening. "But you'd better find out that it was someone from the Clark family. If not, Edward, don't blame us for retaliating!"

Edward's lips curled into a cold smile.

He didn't even consider the entire Clark Group a threat, let alone Maurice's words.

But Evelyn couldn't help but worry for him. She hadn't been involved in the whole process and didn't know if he really had evidence.

As the person in charge of the racetrack, Calvin had no choice but to send his men to retrieve all the surveillance footage from the stables as quickly as possible.

Soon, all the surveillance footage was retrieved.

Unfortunately, although there were plenty of cameras in the stables and they were clear enough, SilverSteed's position was awkward, in the far corner of Zone D, right in a blind spot.

They could even see a shadow cast on the haystack, but the large body of the horse blocked the person's face!

The situation reached a stalemate.

Barry secretly breathed a sigh of relief, while Jessica hid in the back, showing a smug smile of having narrowly escaped.

"Hmph, so you don't have any evidence, and you're still acting arrogant?" Neil laughed out loud, full of mockery. "No witnesses, no surveillance, and you still insist it was someone from the Clark family."

"Edward, if you want to help Evelyn offend us, you should at least consider whether the Clark family is someone you can afford to provoke!"
