Chapter 332 The Honey Trap

Donna didn't dare disturb Ulysses because she knew very well that Ulysses harbored deep resentment towards her and this family.

Although she sincerely contributed to this family and truly loved Charlie and his children.

But in Ulysses' eyes, she was always the third party. After her, Charlie gradually had Joyce and Susan.

If she hadn't been the intruder, would Charlie have had so many women?

Donna said, "Then there's no time to lose, I'll call Adrian right now."

As long as it was something Evelyn asked her to do, she would solve it immediately. So she picked up the phone and called Adrian.

After a few rings, a young, clear voice with a surprisingly youthful tone came from the other end, "Donna, I miss you so much!"

"Adrian, have you been busy lately? You haven't called me, have you forgotten about me?" Donna pretended to be annoyed.

"No way! I could forget anyone but you. You hold a special place in my heart, especially since you're such a beautiful woman." Adrian's sweet talk came effortlessly.

Evelyn raised an eyebrow secretly.

"Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore." Donna cleared her throat, hesitated for a moment, and then said seriously, "Adrian, actually, I have a favor to ask."

Adrian replied, "Just say it."

Donna paused and then said in a low voice, "Can you take some time to come back to the country? I have a patient here, a friend of mine. He suffered a severe head injury a few days ago and almost lost his life."

"After undergoing brain surgery, his condition stabilized, but he still has serious aftereffects. Adrian, you're a brain specialist. Can you come back and take a look at him for my sake?"

"Your friend? Who is it?" Adrian asked.

Donna glanced at the nervous Evelyn, "Come back first, and I'll take you to see him when you arrive."

"Donna, you know my rules. The first thing I do when treating a patient is to understand their identity and background. Otherwise, I won't make a house call." Adrian was stubborn and wouldn't be swayed.

Donna had no choice but to tell the truth, "His name is Edward, a very important friend of Evelyn's."

"Edward? The CEO of the Wellington Group, Edward?" Adrian's tone suddenly became serious.

"Yes," Donna replied.

"Donna, I have things to do. Goodbye." Adrian said.

"Adrian, listen to me!" Donna insisted.

Adrian explained, "There's nothing to say, Donna. You know my rules. I went to Mythorica to develop my career in a place where I had no connections because I couldn't stand the domestic medical community's deference to the wealthy.

"When I worked at the hospital, I watched a poor couple kneel at the director's office door, begging for a heart that should have belonged to their daughter!"

"Do you know who the heart, originally meant for their daughter, went to? It went to Mario's son from the Mugden family! And that poor girl eventually died in pain because she couldn't wait for another donor!"

Adrian's anger made Evelyn's heartache.

She was also a doctor, so she could empathize with his pain.

Donna continued, "Adrian, I understand how you feel, but..."

Adrian replied, "Donna, my rule is never to treat high officials, the wealthy, or the powerful. They can find any doctor they want."

Donna opened her mouth to speak, but before she could say anything, Adrian hung up the phone.

"Evelyn, I'm sorry. Even his parents can't do anything about him, and I have no way to persuade him." Donna sighed in frustration.

Evelyn's heart tightened, and she pursed her lips, smiling gently to comfort her, "Aunt Donna, don't blame yourself. This has nothing to do with you. You've already tried your best. I'll think of something else."

Evelyn returned to her room with a slightly heavy heart.

After some thought, she dialed Ulysses' number.

"Evelyn, miss me?" Ulysses' breath was a bit heavy, but his tone was still indulgent and gentle.

"Ulysses, are you busy?" Evelyn asked with concern.

Ulysses replied, "Just finished the daily training, it's okay, just tell me what you need."

Evelyn asked, "Ulysses, aren't you at the Mythorica Special Agent Headquarters? Wouldn't it be very easy for you to investigate someone in Mythorica?"

Ulysses said, "Not very easy, but relatively easy."

Evelyn replied, "That's great."

Evelyn's brows furrowed slightly, "I need you to investigate someone for me. He's the youngest son of the Mays family, Aunt Donna's nephew, named Adrian, a particularly excellent brain surgeon."

"I know him," Ulysses replied casually.

"What?" Evelyn was shocked.

"Internal secrets, can't disclose. Just tell me what you want." Ulysses asked cheerfully.

Evelyn said, "I want to know if Adrian has any habits, weaknesses, or handles that can be used against him."

Evelyn's eyes flashed sharply, "I feel like that guy is quite a womanizer. Do you think a honey trap would work on him? If necessary, I can personally take action!"

"Are you serious? For what?" Ulysses was startled.

Evelyn continued, "I need Adrian to help me with something very important. I must get him to come to Mugden!"

Ulysses asked, "Even if it means using a honey trap, I'd rather disguise myself as a woman and sacrifice myself than let you suffer that indignity! What exactly do you need him for?"

Evelyn pursed her lips, "It's a secret!"

Ulysses sighed deeply.

"Do you think this plan will work?" Evelyn asked anxiously.

"If you personally take action, it probably won't work. If I take action, it might actually work." Ulysses said thoughtfully.

Evelyn frowned in confusion, "What do you mean by that?"

Ulysses suddenly chuckled playfully, "Because Adrian is gay, he's not interested in women."

Evelyn's hair stood on end.

Ulysses laughed mischievously, "Why don't you let Simon seduce him? I think he can do it."

Evelyn's lips twitched.

A little over half a month later, Edward was officially discharged from the hospital.

On the day of his discharge, Byron personally came to pick him up, keeping a low profile to avoid media interference.

In the car, Byron held Edward's hand tightly, his eyes constantly staring at Edward's head, making him feel goosebumps all over.

"Grandpa, is there something strange about my head?" Edward couldn't help but ask.

"Edward, you look quite handsome with a buzz cut." Byron touched his buzz cut and sighed.

"I always had this hairstyle when I was in military school. Back then, they all said I was the school heartthrob." Edward smiled.

"Lily's skills are really good! The stitches on your head are barely noticeable unless you look closely." Byron sighed again.

Thinking of Evelyn, Edward felt a warmth in his heart.

"Are we going back to Riverside Villa, or are you coming home for dinner?" Byron asked.

"Grandpa, I miss Evelyn. I want to go see her." Edward's posture straightened, and his eyes sparkled with anticipation.

Though he was still in the car, his heart had already flown to Evelyn.

"Alright!"

"Alright!" Byron beamed and patted Edward's shoulder, "I'll take you to see Lily right away!"

Over half an hour later, the luxury car stopped in the underground parking lot of KS WORLD.

When Edward, with his neat buzz cut, appeared in the hotel lobby, he immediately attracted the astonished gazes of the hotel staff!

Nowadays, he was smarter and more disciplined.

Evelyn didn't like people barging in without an appointment, so he obediently found the executive secretary. His expression was calm, though his heart was racing.

Edward said, "Hello, I'd like to see Ms. Taylor. Please inform her. If she's busy, it's okay, I can wait, no matter how long it takes."

The executive secretary was taken aback and asked in surprise, "Mr. Wellington, didn't Ms. Taylor tell you? She's not here anymore."
